Update on the black IPV4! VapeNW states that the ipv4 will be all black. The release states end of may. P4Y has not sent out yet. Looking forward to it

I sure hope it has better paint then the mini v2. I'm glad I got silver I will be grabbing a jwrap carbon soon as I like the black look and know the wrap will last.
Remove the cover and tape off the inside area you still want silver and just rub it off with a pencil eraser. ( the two Allen screws must be removed to access the screen. The inside part is where you can rub off the silver.

I'm gonna guess it's from the design which I consider flawed to put both spring loaded terminals on the bottom, requiring the positive to be inserted on the spring for the left battery. The iPV3 had both spring loaded terminals for the negatives.
If this is your issue, make sure to pull the fabric band down a bit and pop out the left battery from the positive, spring loaded bottom side. The right battery shouldn't be an issue. It will snag at the negative wrapper on the left battery if you don't take them out right.
iPV LI... I'm thinking there is more than LI, it looks cut off. If this is all true, I wonder what the angle will be. Higher wattage and TC I guess, but they would be odd making the 3 superior to the 4. Maybe an SX-350 j in it? I'm definitely intrigued. On the bottom left of the pics, a lip is there on that sides cover. I presume that's where the magnetic door is.

Stupid question regarding the screen - is there a way I can be sure which side I need to rub to remove the mirror?
I know originally it was the reverse of the screen protector. But I already took mine out, and can't be sure I put it back in the right way round
(I seem to recall it fitted either way?)
I'm going to try the pencil eraser method first. So put another way, what would happen if I rubbed the wrong side with the eraser?

You can get that VHT night shade at a auto parts store and just remove all the foil and black it out. The screen will come through easily with the tint. That's what I'll be doing eventually.

Yeah I got my refund today. And even better.. got a shipment notification from Wake and Vape! IP's on the way!
They are really good at taking money, and not providing the goods to customers. They are also extremely good at expediently refunding people. Doesn't seem to be good business practice. I think Gearbest lost quite a few customers and potential future customers with their handling of the iPV4. I had one in my cart and didn't pull the trigger, I'm glad I waited.
Wake and Vape seems to have a ridiculous stock repeatedly of the iPV4 and it's dirt cheap. I'm definitely pleased with them.

I ordered from gearbest 2nd april. Got message this morning that its sent. Wanted Silver and black and like rowsley i am a little concerned that my order now links to the black version. Part of their reply-
I dont feel any the wiser. Still i got the free cloupor mini silica case for my troubles. Im sure it will come in handy if i ever have to buy a cloupor mini.

No updates, still saying departed LA on the 6th, been a week now, so really losing hope, I decided I will not file a paypal dispute if it doesn't show up, as not wakeandvapes fault, and it is not fair they should have to pay for the USPS crap service, but on Friday I am going to contact my post office manager as the email said to do if didn't turn up, and also going to ask wakeandvape if they can contact USPS about my package too, maybe if they have vendor and customer on them, they might actually look into it more.
If it doesn't show up, I'm not sure what I will do, really wanted the IPV4, but not sure I want to pay $130 for it, could of got it from my local vape store for less than that, but really it is my own fault for being a tight ass, as didn't pay the extra few dollars for priority shipping, which would of included at least $50 insurance, but in my defensive, in over 2 years of vaping, I have never had a lost package till now.

Awesome congrats man you saved a lot of time on shipping. I think this pre-order has been a bit whacked. When I got the ipv3 no local shops had it and a small portion of the community had it. This time around it does not feel as much like a pre-order.

Damn that sucks. Sorry man I was hoping you got somewhere with it today. I would contact usps consumer affairs. I got called this morning by USPS about the inquiry I made about the VS I thought was missing. If you contact them they should try to find it. My case was a bit different though because even though the item showed to be in the Miami post office VS never actually sent it.
I expect delivery of an item and do not feel the vendor completed the sale until that happens. If you contact them they may just send you another out but I would contact them for sure.
I did email Ashley from wakeandvape when they sent me a email asking to review my IPV4, she basically apologized for the USPS and said hopefully it will turn up soon, I want what I paid for, but wakeandvape did their part, so really can't bash on them.
It falls into a bit of a grey area. Yes they sent it but you never got it so when is the sale complete? When they send? Or when you receive?
Ashley has been friendly with my communication with W&V so as crappy as it is I guess you got to get on usps's ass over their mistake. Hope it turns up soon.
Thats messed up what USPS is pulling. I think you have the right plan with contacting them, and having Wake and Vape do so as well. Keep them informed. They might send out another if its lost. Good luck man.

I finally canceled my order with gear best and went with vapor range. I have a tracking number and should have it in my paws day after tomorrow. Thanks to you guys for all the information this nightmare will soon come to an end.

Just got the tracking number for mine today as well. I ordered the Sig 150 from them on Sunday received the tracking number for that on Monday. In my hands today. I am in Columbus, OH. So if you are close and our IPV4's follow the same schedule as my Sig 150. We should have them in our hands on Friday!! However, as I am sure doesn't need to be stated, it IS the USPS. So I am telling myself to hope for Saturday and if it comes on Friday it's a bonus.
I am in Bama it was rowsley that is in Ohio. Should still arrive about the same time though.

I'm not entirely sure i think it was about maybe 2 hours or 3 hours, but the batteries were only around half drained. was using those new Samsung 30q 3000mah batt's. the iPV4 does act as a passthrough while charging , but only with batteries installed. w/o batteries it will just shut off when you try to fire it. I posted that on the previous page or the top of this one.

Sounds like each battery is drawing close to an amp then. I'd read people saying it would take forever to charge because they said it only drew 450 to each battery. My D4 charger uses 375 when I charge 4 batteries and it takes around 6 hours.

well the power supply is a 2 amp unit so I would imagine it's sending around .75 to 1 amp to each battery. was really impressed that it charged both batteries evenly. I think I will drain them down to 20% or so then let it charge them over night in my fire retardent bag. fingers crossed but i don't think it will be a issue.
I order from liberty flights like 2 years ago. 10 or so drip tips The pkg was showing at Cali usps( not sure if LA) and never changed. I called my usps after like 2 weeks. They said they never recieved it. I called LF they sent new order. End of story. Um no a lil over a year later what's in my mailbox The original order with sorry mishandled at buffalo usps. So much for them never getting it.
