If you mentioned MTL vs DTL in the past, I don't remember it. Also, from the various websites I've been to, they say that nic salts is the best way to go for a smooth vaping experience. It also delivers more nicotine. Which according to a kind of search that I won't mention again, is the ingredient in vape juice that makes you cough.
Right or wrong, I decided to go with the system I have. Which is the Uwell Crown X pod.. I also decided to go with the 18mg nic salts. Perhaps unfortunately, I threw away my 18mg freebase vape juice and went with the 18mg nic salts vape juice. Neither do I have the money to be trying out different systems and different kinds of vape juice. So I am pretty much stuck with what I have. I will have to make that work as best I can and deal with the results. My vape pod came with a .3 ohm coil installed and a spare .6 ohm coil. The only thing I can do is switch to the .6 ohm coil and use it at a lower wattage. Given our differences in the past, I am kind of leery about even asking you this. But given what I have, what wattage and coil do you think I should use to get the best results.
YOU CANNOT USE ANY LEVEL NIC SALT WITH COIL Ω LESS THAN ABOUT 1.0. NO MATTER WHAT. PERIOD.
If your device came with 0.3 and 0.6 coils...that means it is a DTL
ONLY device. Unless you can find 1.6-1.8Ω coils that will fit X. Should have kept that freebase.
PG and nic provide throat hit, which emulates throat hit of a cig. With the device set up correctly, and with the correct juice, the reason for any cough is the way its vaped. IE wattage too high or too low, to big of a puff, or first time vaper that didn't heed the instructions I gave above.
- Find coils for that X, that will work with nic salt. (over 1.0Ω)
- Get some 18mg or less freebase for the coil(s) you have (rinse as much salts out as you can from the wicking material and let dry thoroughly.
- Get a different, proper MTL device with the proper coil(s) for MTL vaping w/nic salt.
With freebase you can get 30/70 or 20/80 juice, (20 & 30 being PG content), which is a smoother base than what you posted days ago that you were using at that time.
Those are your 3 options.
