Cleaned out my tank on my vape pen and now it is soaking in some Dawn dish detergent. In about an hour or so I'll rinse it and let it dry out, install a new GT 8 coil that came in my Polar kit to see if I like it or not. I did not like the GT CCell 2 coil that I am replacing. If I don't like the GT 8, I have some replacement GT Mesh coils that I do like. Other than that, just getting my shit together for the bike trip on Monday. Damn I can't wait.....

I picked up a Profile RDA today. Never had mesh before. I like it!
Washed out a few bottles, finalized a clone I was working on for someone, tweaked a few recipes and drooled over the coil porn thread. And vaped.....a lot......

I know many people love it and I'm certainly not faulting them for that, but I find it aggravating and wasteful.
I've tried every way of tearing it I can think of and two wicks are never the same. Every time I try to work it down on one end it winds up all uneven and I throw away 20 or 30% of it in little shreds. Before even trimming it. I'm not wiling to work this hard to get usable wicking. Not when there's other less expensive less wasteful solutions. I can get a bag of pads the size of a small couch pillow for not much more than a little pouch of cotton bacon. It's consistent, far less wasteful and if there's a significant difference in how they vape, it's lost on me.
I don't have even have a whole pack left. It had been sitting for months and I thought I'd give it another shot. I spent about 20 minutes fiddling with it and wound up stuffing it in the bag and tossing it aside. There are too many things in life to be aggravated about. Cotton is not going to be one of them for me.

I get a lot of waste from it too but I set it aside and roll it up for emergency use...just like I save paracord scraps ha ha. What kind/brand of cotton pads to you use?

For me, THESE work fine.
The only wick material I've tried where if you handed me several mods and didn't tell me what was in which and I could really tell them apart is probably rayon.
I’ll give those a try, now I have an excuse to order some Amazon stuff.

Yea pretty good. It's one of the Raymo clamps. I saw Mayne it was here a few weeks back he was selling them again. Maybe it was a friend of his that had them

Nick Devine mentioned that in his livesteam the other night, but said there weren't many left.
Take say 8 of the same mods, same atty, same build, same juice. Wick them with all with different kinds of cotton and one with rayon.
The only one I would be able to tell an actual appreciable difference in, if I didn't know which was which, is probably the rayon.
I'm not saying that rayon is any better or worse. I'm just saying that it's the only one I personally feel vapes noticeably different than the rest.

Put new coils and rayon in my Freemax Fireluke RTA deck. I'm ashamed to even say how long it's been.

I have been using Rayon for a while now. been thinking I should try cotton again just to see if I notice anything.
You just reminded of a use for cotton bacon. I wrapped some in rayon for my Profile Unity and that's working quite well.
I was gifted some notch coils (thanks @bx10r) and wasn't sure what to do with them.
I love the profile (I have 5 of them) using mesh just like they were designed for but I though what the hell.
So I whipped one out and put a notch coil in it.
I'm actually surprised, it vapes great.
I don't think it's s good as the mesh but close, ramp up time is comparable and I'm guessing it won't drink juice as fast as the mesh.

Rewicked the Bonza and started vaping some cinnamon custard juice I diy’d. Also heard back from Dovpo regarding my Basium that has stopped working, a replacement is being sent out so I can get back to VV squonking!

I my have just gotten thoroughly ripped off, but I took the chance. It's almost impossible for me to believe that this juice could be this cheap, but I spent a while digging and couldn't find any indication that this site sells fake juice.
I keep hearing how great THIS stuff is, and it's along the lines of what I prefer anyway, so I ordered 240 mils at 6mg. If it's fake I'll be bummed, but not the end of the world. If it isn't, that is one great deal.

The only had 0mg and 6mg, I vape 3mg so my first order I ordered 120 of 0mg and 120 6mg and mixed them all together
I was sceptical at first because I've never seen it sold in 120ml.
I got my first order and to my surprise 120ml comes as two 60ml bottles.

Updated my flavor stash on ELR, put a fresh coil in the Horizon Falcon and filled it with Pachamama Fuji apple strawberry nectarine, bottled up some juice that was done steeping, and washed some empty bottles for future diy use.
