Built a new Wasp Nano RTA that came the other day, rebuild a 30mm Doc RDA that I've had for a while. It vaped good, but god was it ever noisy. I put a couple fused Claptons in and now it's quiet, but the resistance is too high and I need to pull a wrap or two out of the coils. Ramp up is too long, it's making me crazy.
Have you ever used Ni80? @bx10r suggested that wire to me awhile back and it sure ramps up a lot faster.

Yes, that's what I used. I use N80 or SS all the time.

Checked my battery and it needed to be charged. That was part of the problem. I'll see how it is once battery is up to snuff.

Thanks Deb!

Yard work done, just kicking back with my sidekick Jax and vaping on the Gripnade.
Take the pin out and put it in the side lever to lock it.

My dad taught me as a kid to work on cars... but never an entire engine lmao

My dad started teaching me when I was aboot 5 or 6, then he was absent most of my life so I had to teach myself a lot. Biggest thing with teaching yourself is to take pictures throughout disassembly. You can also buy a cheater book if one is available, they don't have all the info, but usually enough to fake your way through it. Engine swaps aren't too difficult, the weight of it is the main issue (for me anyway), just have to do it bit by bit.

Yeah. The most I’ve done is modifications, basic car tune ups, the need to know how things like changing tires, brakes, fluids. I learned how to install rims and “blow up a tire”. That was fun

The real fun is trying to change a tire on a rim without a tire machine or basic tire tools. Far from impossible, but takes some ingenuity and will power, I'm just glad there was a full sized compressor on hand. My little pancake compressor never would've done it.

Luckily my ex worked at a shop so the equipment was always there and I got to play while he worked. It was fun. I learned a lot.

I could probably get a job in a shop, but I'm too much of an asshole, I don't generally play well with others. That, and I like being able to work on my own schedule. The only real bonus to working in a shop would be having specialty tools available. If I decide I don't want to put brakes on a customers car until midnight I can do that, my customers understand that I'm a single dad and my schedule revolves around my daughter instead of them. I also usually have the vehicles overnight at minimum anyway. But I generally don't like to work on cars, I do better fixing appliances or installing floors or repairing drywall or anything else really. I've got a shop full of tools and I love to use them.

That’s great you’re a jack of all trades! I like working with my hands but I’m more of an artsy type

You got it.

479f30192c240d60be6c78de41f6eef0.jpg

i had it. i used that to coat(lol) the top and bottom of the VA i built. i did a test spray, then handled them a fairly lot. impressive results. so i stripped that off and did a quality finish, looked great.
until it started falling off with light use. and that suck's, cause i love the color. and, well, the price.

i hope it works out better for you. and it very well may.

Add another 1% of the Vanilla Swirl if you think it needs it - if more cream is closer to what you had in mind. The vanillas will come out more over a week or so, but if strawberry is extremely dominant now, you might need a little more cream.

I think mine is about right, but the two strawberries I used may not be as strong as yours.

i just tried it again. the straw is toning down and the cream is noticeable.

Today, I wrapped up 5 gifties for some awesome VU members. Made some fused claptons and a couple of 120ml bottles of juice I vape the most. That's pretty much it. Oh and chatted with @Rhianne for awhile and told her I'm glad she is back and is okay :)

Oh, and I complained some more on our neighborhood forum thing about our mail carrier and how I wish whoever had gotten my package, would bring it to me! I mean not that they should have to as it's not their fault, but ya, I'm always walking mail down to neighbors as the carrier can't seem to read anyone's address correctly! That or she herself swiped it. People on the forum said they have recently gotten cards for their kids birthday's from family members and they know there was some money in them. Got the cards, envelopes torn and no money in them. Some of the neighbors say they have even filed complaints on the OIG website and nothing ever changes. Really this is pretty sad that no one cares.

I count my blessings now when I do get my stuff. I have 3 things coming tomorrow, but at least I will know when she is here due to my pickup request and I can follow her down to the mailbox. Of course that is IF she stops and picks up. Last 2 times she didn't and I had to catch her.

Sorry, didn't mean to vent so long :)

The order went through okay? Someone here was saying they had problems with them recently.
Yea the mod i got was messed up and it took 3 weeks to get a reply email sying they were closing my ticket due to not reaching out. I made 3 tickets and called numerous times and they never responded except to say sorry. I got it to work by fiddling with the battery door. But shouldnt have to deal with all that. But I will say that is is the first time I've ever had issues with them at all. Always been a great company. I think gadget had issues asnwell and had to do a charge back with his bank.

Oh that’s right! I forgot about your Smok mod.
I can’t believe the crazy stuff that is going on with China and here because of vape hatred.
So your Smok came to life and then died again, or is it okay?

A buddy of mine that I introduced to vaping to help him quit smoking a year ago came up to me laughing with a set of 25R batteries that were blackened on both positive ends. He told me he saw smoke coming from his lunch cooler and he opened it to find these batteries almost stuck together and a hole.burned in the side of his cooler. I looked at the batteries again and saw the condition of the wrapping and it looked almost like fishnet stockings. I LOST IT!

I sat him down and had a serious talk with him ONCE AGAIN about battery safety and what coild happen is a battery shorted out, over loaded, etc... He still thinks it's a joke... I dug in the trash after he carelessly threw the old batteries in the trash to retrieve them so I could wrap them seperately in tape and dispose of them properly.

How can I get through to him how important it is to handle batteries safely... BEFORE he hurts himself or someone else?

Sure seems like that situation would have done it, doesn't it? Maybe ask him how funny he'd think it was if that had happened when the mod was in his pocket? Maybe if he was in the hospital right now he wouldn't be so amused.

Dunno. People are just oblivious sometimes. Act like teenagers, think they're bulletproof. Sometimes the hard way is the only way they learn.

shove them up his ass, that autta do it. but then again.

because of "regular" batteries, most people don't understand what our batteries can do.

I'm not sure people know what even regular batteries can do. I would not have known not to carry an open battery in a pocket before I started reading about vaping and battery safety. I'm pretty sure that applies to any kind of batteries, right?

My husband would have known, too. He's a handy guy, though, can troubleshoot and fix most anything, which I'd think also applies to you. You might be surprised how rare that is.

Vaping is NOT for everyone.
Anyone can pick up a cig , light it, suck on it, throw it out.
Vaping is more complicated.
The closest vaping comes to the simplicity of smoking is Juul or the like. Which explains some of the popularity of Juul. But you still have to charge your VPS (Vaping Power Source)

Depends upon what you mean by "regular battery."

Traditional carbon batteries, and even alkaline batteries, have a relatively high internal resistance, which limits their current-sourcing capability. And that internal resistance climbs steeply as the cell discharges. Lead-acid, Nickel-Cadmium, Nickel-Metal-Hydride, and particularly Lithium and Lithium-Ion batteries all have relatively low internal resistance. Li and Li-Ion batteries, in particular. This means they can source a great deal of current until their energy is exhausted. Or they catch fire or explode.

People don't realize just how much energy is contained in the average 18650 or whatever. It's quite substantial.

Butt that would be if you are working under the vanity on the faucet hookups?
And did you use Wax ring, flanged wax ring or one of the new rubber seals?

flanged wax. i used one of those fancy seals on my craper years ago. the one thaat goes down in the pipe.
i had to remove the craapper to do flooring. the ring stuck in the pipe, and tore the cheap glue that holds it to the crapper.
i siliconed it back on and trimmed it shorter. then i greased it. some things look great on paaper, in usse, not so much.
