Not sure if it'd suit you or not given I know you like a really tight draw. Have you looked at the new ares rta? I think innokin's making it, input from Phil Busardo and Dimitris. Hasn't released yet that I know of, I think it's supposed to be out for the holidays (black fri maybe?). Just figured you might be interested given it's mtl and something new, not many new mtl's hitting the market. There's a look at it here.

It's not for me... it's an xmas gift for my son. He vapes MtL, but VERY!!! airy, around 20-25 watts. All different PG/VG ratios; fortunately he's not sensitive to either unless it's wildly unbalanced -- 70/30 to 30/70 suits him fine.

FT has shipped, but Beijing hasn't yet sent it from China. Buttheads.

ETA: that new Ares looks too fat and heavy to suit me, and I haven't heard word-one yet about the actual airflow -- I'd be willing to bet it's a lot more airy than "cigarette" or "carto" style MtL. (golfball thru garden hose, in other words!)

Finally got around to putting a couple of fused claptons in my csmnt clone. Much better than the single coils that I threw in it. Went with 3x28ga ss316/38ga ni80 3.5mm id. At 7 wraps they come out to .16, running them at 80w with the airflow shut down around 1/2 way. Not the most beautiful things, a twist or two in the wire but can't see them too good. Can only see the twists with light reflecting off them.

Was waiting on vape mail, then remembered it's veteran's day. So I just went back to my chair and turned on Netflix, currently vaping on jasmine tea while watching supernatural, my friends really like it, I just can't get into it.

I did the same when I used to buy juices but I DIY now so I don't have any juices I don't like anymore. When I get a head cold now I mix a batch with a touch of vanilla and double menthol. Good stuff for a cold

All I did on the vape front today was charge a few batteries, vape and think about what I want to try for a first build on the Silverplay. Might get on it later tonight.

Put in an order at Temco Industrial for a couple thousand feet of 36ga N80 and 500ft of 26ga N80. Aside from that, it was a prep work kind of day...original plan was to get things prepped and setup for my typical 10 Alien Coil run, but it was one of those days where the Claptons were coming out flawless and smooth as silk, so, went ahead and prepped for a double run since these days are getting few and far between.

Now I just have to decide if I can handle my gf ridiculing me mercilessly for wearing my jewelers loupe (thanks again for the tip @strigamort) long enough to spin them out into proper coils or just wait until tomorrow.

Nah, i don’t sell any...I just really enjoy making coils, honestly. It keeps me focused on something so that boredom doesn’t kick in as easily and it’s just gotten to the point where it’s a hobby, probably moreso than vaping itself. Wire is cheap and I’ll sometimes pass some out to a couple guys I work with and sent a few to @Mykreign a while back (and that’s where half of this run is probably going to go for his help with giving me some good info and great resource sites on starting out DIY juice making) but as I’ve said before...if vaping were suddenly outlawed or I couldn’t do it any longer, I’d probably still make the coils just for fun. I am nerd...hear me roar, lol.

Edit: I’m also a bit of a perfectionist and coils that have small blemishes and imperfections end up in a discard pile box...I hold onto them in case I don’t have any “perfect” coils ready to go but absolutely need to swap out coils for any reason. I keep them separated out by what kind of wire I built them out of to keep from accidentally running a dual coil of two different metals at once...these are the discards from the last few weeks

Put new coils in the dead rabbit. I'd had some pre built UD staggered staple fused claptons I'd bought a long time ago and forgotten how crappy they were so out with those and in with some AVS fused claptons. Ordered more coils from AVS. Also ordered my VT inbox Christmas present from FT. Hope it's here in time.

Got bored and couldn’t sleep in the wee hours of the morning, so, I went ahead and spun my prep work into Alien Wire and now I’m sitting in the car waiting in line at my son’s school to pick him up and figured I could use the spare time to wrap the Alien Wire lengths I made into full-fledged coils. Replace coils in all my attys with quad core fused claptons from AVS except for the dead rabbit wich got tri core fused claptons from AVS last night. For the price, AVS coils are hard to beat. I can't wait to try the coils from BD builders and Pure coils.

As a new vaper, experimenting between my Joytech Exceed D19 pen and my Vivakita Move 60 mod (@ 35 watts). I was going to put the 0.6 ohm coil in the D19 to try that but then changed my mind when I realized I'd be vaping at around the same power level as the Move 60.

I can't wait to post in this thread either tomorrow or the next day that I bought four Samsung 30Q batteries for my Hcigar VT250s DNA mod!. When they arrive, I get to post about how my Vapefly Nicolas atty is working out. It will be a long while before I buy six more batteries to use it in three battery mode. I'll probably have a Coil Master V3 kit and a Digiflavor Siren 2 atty before I do that.
