That imrbatteries site has some of the best prices especially with $2 shipping. He2's are like $7 But $10 per bat and you get it now is not bad.
I have had a purple 2500 for almost a year now and it has been a great battery. Not as good as my vtc5's... but you can't get those anymore.
The purple has actually held up very well over time, it hits about as hard as my new he2's.
Lot's of purple bashing to be found and I agree their marketing of the battery is lame but I can't really say anything bad about the battery itself.

good to know! sadly my last vtc5 is probably getting on the dull side.. I probably need to pick up some 4's just to have..but I did hear the 5's are going to be back in full production pretty soon so I think we will have them available sometime in 2015.. hopefully by the summer..
I don't really go below .8 for my builds so i think the efests will handle just fine for now.. I just just get the subtank with .5 heads so we shall see!

the sub tank fucking rocks! I love it, broke down and paid 55 bucks for it at my favorite B&M(Rogue Vapers). Lately, it's my go to tank, over my AQUA V2, which I thought would never happen.

LG says they are 20 amp batteries. Period. The pulse rating was taken from graphs on a test sheet and someone besides LG decided they were 35 amp based on that. The batteries put out whatever amperage is demanded of them by the resistance of your coil and the voltage available from the battery. It most certainly doesn't put out a flat amount of amperage for a specific time and then magically drop. If your coil and the available voltage demand 40 amps (or any value, pick a number) then the battery will be forced to try to deliver that - or fail to. It's entirely up to you to let go of the switch in a reasonable amount of time to prevent over stressing the battery. The only thing it will do on it's own is heat up and possibly vent if you push it too hard.
Edit: I can certainly understand your wanting to edit your posts. Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, it does nothing to change the quotes of that original post.

I'm no battery expert, more like a newbie, but shouldn't the battery fire at an amperage depending on the build? This is an honest question because it scares me if it will fire @ 35 AMP all the time.

A battery will only put out what's asked of it. That could be more or less than what the battery is rated at but if you build a mellow 1 ohm build it will only pull 4.2 amps from the battery. If you build a 0.05 ohm coil it will pull 84 amps and your battery will most likely vent.

Look, I didn't read threw all of the posts in this thread, but to stay on topic I am inclined to agree that samsung makes solid batteries and have a stable track record...I've always used the 20R from the beginning of my vaping journey, I bought it from battery websites because I couldn't find it in vaping shops...it's 20 then 22 amp continuous discharge made me feel safe even when i was just using my first mod which was vamo v2...the 25R is supposed to be the upgrade from that even though it's only 20 amps when it's longer life and is supposed to be even better made....even though they don't list the pulse limit on the 20R another thing I like is you can find their datasheets on several websites...not something you get with every battery....They may not be the "sony killer" for those super super low builds, but down to .2 to for sure they are a solid option and for most vapors they are more battery than you'll ever need and they don't cost the same as a house or a gallon of gas in 2008

I've been using the new IMREN's and I do have to say that they have performed just as well as my Sony's did. We can talk specs all day long but it really just comes down to the performance and how well it suits your needs. For me, I've been loving these IMREN's and would put them right up there with the Sony VTC 4/5
No they do not perform as well I jumped on the Imren bandwagon when they first came out In fact they may just be relabeled LG HE's buy looking at them if you really want to up the ante go buy a motorcycle battery with a step down transformer and vape for a week or so thats a sony killer
