I have had more fun than most human beings have ever had. I am thinking I may be getting ready for the last party here on this planet. Being totally alone is much worse than dying. If I kick out just be happy I made you smile now & then. I ain't trying to go, just feels that way.
You better not we're not through with you, but really you have family here my brother!!!:)

dang I took some many painkillers I became addicted to them....was on them for 10+ years. I had to go to rehab and everything. Glad those days are behind me...now I just suffer through it. Do not want to go back to active addiction again....terrible thing to live.
How did you do that? I can't go potty when I take those things. That was enough for me! :giggle:

I have dealt with pain all my life. For the last year I have been taking pain killers off and on I am just tired of dealing with all the severe pain I have.

I'm to white trash to be white trash. I own no mossy oak. I don't drink beer.
But I do have GOML (get off me lawn) syndrome. Maybe I am an old man!

Back in the days of yore, when my family took my brother and I overseas for the Middle-European tour (we are descendants from Italy), Europe - then, and even now, as I have family who own property there, and have dual-citizenship - is completely removed from the Stateside-way of thinking - as it is its own version of the Western World. Much older and, more established, than our nation is. People need to watch for pickpockets in Paris, Rome, and other major cities in Middle Europe - just as you do Stateside, in certain areas of NYC, Chicago, and many others... yet, in most places there, people are kinder, more of the old school than the new, and they (most, anyway) 'say what they mean, and mean what they say.' You'll never find yourself intertupting, since they are speaking broken English, or in their native tongue - and though I speak two languages fluently beside American English, like any American - I'd rather converse in English.

However, @itsmenotyou had a comment that I quoted in this post, that brought back memories of summer vacations in the 'upper South,' Virginia Beach, VA. The fourth or fifth-generation homeowners during that time (early-mid '70s) had the GALL to put up signs on their lawns that read: "Please keep your dogs, and sailors, off of the grass."

Even then, remarks like that - especially printed upon a sign - were divisive, and more than likely PO'd members of the Greatest Generation here in the US of A. Many of them fought for this nation, and lost many a dear friend or relative trying to defeat the Axis, so that the Allies could prevail. I remember my late father telling me of the nuclear bomb test that brought about Trinity, back in 1945 - on his thirteenth birthday, 16 July.

We here at @Whiskey's Corner #2, aka @Whiskey's West - are equal-opportunity opinion-sharers. Some, in more colorful words than others - but, we all seem to get along fairly well, and that speaks volumes. If we were to share the shenanigans that happen here, without the hate - we could educate the rest of the United States in how to be tolerant, commiserative, empathetic, and just plain GOOD. When I see @Jimi's posts, I'm in @Jimi's immediate world, as I went through Cancer myself - and, @Jimi doesn't ha;ve anything bad to write about anyone, or any 'thing.'

@Jimi, I know that I speak for the entire community here at #2 when I write about your grace, and way about yourself. We need more of you.

Just like we need more @pete67s, @Markw4mmss, @Whiskeys, @Thejackson5s, @Huckleberried @kimbers - among the many others that post here. This post is for all of us, the Corner people. Liz and I salute every one of you who write great things; pick up people's spirits when they're down; pray or send spiritual thoughts to those who are ill; and, just being GOOD FOLK. If you don't know who you are, just skim through the many pages here...

Love is a wonderful thing, when shared with people you wouldn't know in the street - and, isn't it filled with wonderment?

NO! NO! NO!!
You're staying right here, Mr. You're our family and we love you. Sending many hugs and much love your way. I know how tough this day is for you. I have a couple of those, too. They SUCK and they suck, but with people like you keeping me smiling and giggly, it sure as hell makes it more bearable. I love you Saddletramp. You're my peeps.

I fall down, always get up. But it's getting harder to do.

Aw, @Saddletramp1200 - my bro, buddy and friend. You'll get back at it again. It's the comeback that proves your mettle. You and I both have dealt with cages, picking pieces of gravel out of the road rash, and riding with people NUTTIER than yourself.

It would be an honor, bro, to meet you in person. That way, you could meet Liz - she used to ride b. on a Road King that her ex had on a poker run to Taos, NM from Denver.

I wish she and I were together when I had my DOHC Road King. Alas, it had to be sold when I divorced my ex, and I only had it less than a year. She was all H-D, but smoother than glass. It took new exhaust to bring out the old-school Harley in her. The Baker direct-drive 7th gear improved her gas consumption, but it opened up a world of top-end SCREW.

Liz on the queen with chaps - she'd turn some heads, lemme tell you. She wasn't mine back then... my ex wouldn't come near my bike, Saddle. I'm glad that she and I are done.

So, here we are. I'm disabled, and do most of my long-distance stuff on a Hoveround. Yet, even with pain, and type-1 diabetes since I was a child - not to mention cancer -

I still walk, with a cane, as much as I can. Liz, with her limitations, like me. - won't give in.

Keep on trucking, Casey Jones. @Saddletramp1200 still, and always will, RULE.

How am I supposed to justify my drinking as socializing if no one is talking?!?:drunk:

Why bother justifying it? I never did. I drank because I was a drunk. When my liver let me know in no uncertain terms that it was soon going on strike, I had to knock it off... grudgingly. Be happy you can still drink and not suffer for it for 3-4 days.

 good point.

Either way it's all lies to try to provoke some action in this thread as I'm a bit bored. Though it's about time for bed so time to put on a Miyasaki movie and lay down. Now just to decide which one.
