They had some kind of anti-nausea drug in my morphine; it didn't make me sick at all, but sure did make me sleep -- I'd been awake for +24 hrs with the pain and general stomach upset. The morphine didn't take the pain completely away, but made it a lot easier to bear.

If im on controled stuff, normally lower doses of vicadine does me a world of good.

I visited my mom in the hospital after she had a hysterectomy; she was one of those unfortunates who get very sick from Demerol, so they gave her dilaudid instead. She was a serious drunk, but that is the MOST wasted I've ever seen her.

Like them trying to confine to bed... I remembered that and the night hag who threatened to restrain me for walking it off...and withholding iv fluids, pain meds and not checking on me for 5 hours.

Same here...waiting for it to blow in off the Pacific....they make a big ado about these storms anyway, might not as bad as local news makes out...expecting it to hit here about 10 am ..howerever LA county is getting hammered with heavy rain, hail and thunderstorms at this very minute...be down here soon..
