Nice!!!!!!!!Yep, went to Dick's Sporting Goods this morning, they did not have any CK200's in stock, but they did have a Future 124 to look at it is a Kayak for fishing, the 200 is a Kayak/Catamaran. The 200 has everything molded in, hooks, tie downs etc. The 200 is not cheap, but you get what you pay for, they had literature and went to the website for me, after a hour of negations, I have 2 on order, expected delivery is 3 weeks, a little more than 2 grand with a 500.00 discount for cash.
I'm going to own 2 CK 200's.
See what you did!Nice!!!!!!!!
That's great, I'm interested in what it sells for in your market, OG I don't need a heart attack.LOL, we are getting one too

Good mornin SGMorning folks! My sister is heading to NY in a little bit to see our parents. Early morning flights are the best. Hopefully she can make some headway with getting them to move. I really don't think it will be a problem. My parents (well, at least my Dad) know they've got family who will care for them. Honestly, seeing the movie "Saint Vincent" gave me pause. The parallels were too striking to ignore. I would never want to see them in that situation and I know that is the inevitable outcome given the prognosis. It's heartbreakin seeing someone who was always headstrong and cocksure, as my mother was, reduced to this. I remain hopeful though. She is still more herself than not but I know that can't last.
Nothing gold can stay.
Your parents are lucky to have kids like you who are doing the right thing ! Hope it all works out and they move and the family will be together. Just like when you were kids lol !Morning folks! Morning ma'am, and morning to the rest of you rabble-rousers.Good morning Rat & SG
Well, tonight's the twelfth... of July... our car is still down and out, in The Rockies.
My new sponsor lent us his Gen 3 Vortec-powered Chevy pickup.
The last of the 350 engines, for now (5.7 L); yet, it has low miles, a cab and a half - and, man - it can scoot; though, I must say the 5.3 L (327 - historically, it was easily Chevy's best small block, imho; great revs, and who cannot forget the fuel-injected 327 that was a one-off in the new '63 1/2 Corvette Sting Ray body style) is a sweet replacement, and return to GM's engine lineup.
Liz and I finally got our sofa:

The two outside reclining seats go back all of the way flat, just like the loveseat. Note the new end tables, and coffee table - Ye Olde Fabled Trunk (arrgh, matey) - yet, the more I look at its design - it looks more like the proverbial frustrated author's trunk.
Tomorrow - we're going to see a fellow with the last name of a famous '60s-'70s actor (McClure), who will diagnose our Ford's problem (i.e., either an anti-theft reset, as the tow truck driver claimed to see one adult, and four teens scatter away from our car when he arrived, our Garmin on top of the roof, driver's side).
Or, it jumped timing. Since Firestone was the outfit that replaced our timing belt - they WILL be liable.
Bastards.
I have a hinky feeling about the tow truck driver's story; as they used to say, back in the day:
"If you can't dazzle 'em with details - baffle 'em with bull****!"
Liz tipped him well. (sigh.)
Liz and I miss you guys. More unpacking, pulling of weeds, spraying of Round Up...
A new neighbor moved in next door. A late-Vietnam vet (he became Regular Army, 3rd Cav in 1974), he stuck it out, and retired a First Sergeant after serving during Desert Shield, and Desert Storm. The VA dropped the ball on this unfortunate soul, as he lost many M1 Abrams tanks to uncontrolled friendly fire.
So, he self-medicates with alcohol, and the legal controlled substance in Colorado.
We can't hang out together - but, we pray for him. He's such a nice guy. I hope he finds a better lifepath, along with Peace and Serenity.
Liz and I love all of you here at '@Whiskey's West,' and we'll try to do better in thread participation.
Still, we're blown away by our new home, furniture, and each other.
Without Liz, I'd be a broken soul. We love all of you - you know who you are.
LW & Liz
Good and bad news I see. So happy you two are finding happiness in Colorado. We will have you and Liz inn our prayers for you surgery though for sure.Car is running (yay!). Total cost, with tow: $172.80
It took this outfit awhile, but it was reasonable price-wise.
An addendum about the truck that we were lent:
4L65E transmission, 6.0 L Vortec. 64K miles. B. is willing to sell it to us. It is enticing. It even has a back seat, and I love the short bed.
Here's some other news:
WE'RE GETTING 6 kW OF SOLAR POWER! 18 PANELS, AND A VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT POWER BILL (SAVE FOR THE $20 WE HAVE TO PAY THE POWER COMPANY, WHO INTEND TO HIKE THEIR RATE 11.78 % IN JANUARY. REASON: THE PLACES THAT GROW COLORADO'S LEGAL CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ARE "Placing A Strain" ON THE POWER GRID...
Bull****. Most growers have switched from metal halide and arc sodium streetlamps, to LED. $4700 power bills for an average 'grow' can be cut to less than a third of the original cost.
We have switched all of our lights to LED (at $3 apiece, it's a smart, 10-20 year investment), except for the large flourescent lights in the kitchen and workshop.
Well, the electrician is here, so we have to go. Please forgive our absence - it has been busy times, for Liz and I.
Oh.
My new urologist found a FORGOTTEN 10 mm stone in my right kidney. 4 August - kidney surgery, again.
Otherwise, we're okay. I'm soothed by Colorado's natural beauty, and, of course - our new digs.
