The thing is: If it is gout it's a metabolic disorder that can be treated with several different meds to keep the uric acid levels down. But my MD went by the blood test levels and that test alone is often inconclusive. I have to go have another "discussion" about this and just wasn't up to gimping into the MD's office during this attack.
A friend of mine has gout. If he eats too much chocolate candy, his foot flares up like a pack a hemorrhoids. A lot of beer doesn't help him either, but not as bad as chocolate.

I had a doll named Pinky. She would not hold air after several patches. Had to let her go.:cool:
