@JLFROST, do what you want to do for your birthday. That's YOUR day. If you happen to be busy on the day they choose, so be it. You could invite your dad for dinner, just the 2 of you, or come up with something you think you might both enjoy, but have never done. I've dealt with family dynamics before. No fun. I have a bday in a few weeks, too, so happy birthday to you and me!
