Supposedly there's a bunch of class action lawsuits that are going to be filed they are saying that can hold things up for a while. I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if this is true.

That's a date that Congress put in the Tobacco Control Act (which gave the FDA regulatory control of tobacco products and was signed into law by Pres. Obama on June 22, 2009). As far as I know, the only ecig stuff on the market before Feb. 2007 was the 801 pen style and eliquid made in China.

And those didn't enter the US til 09.

Great, so we can get Chinese juice but not US made. BRILLIANT
Pretty much what I said in my letter to my congressman. I wrote that it was utterly insane that China, who has zero concern for health and safety, gets a pass, but the FDA is going to put such a hefty burdon on U.S. made products, from companies that DO care about health and safety, that they'll have to shut their doors and lay off thousands of workers.

Ya know what irks me? WE vapers are the ones that urge people to practice safe measures in vaping. WE vapers are the ones wanting to know what's in the juices we vape. WE vapers are the one doing the testing. WE vapers have built this city. And they wanna ship the city to China.

I dunno. I first saw the Ruyan version of the 801 at a tiny wholesale shop in Denver that carried all sorts of made in China junk and I'd swear it was in January of 2007. Problem is, that shop has been closed for a long time, and not understanding the item, I didn't buy one when I was there. So, no proof :(

Mass marketed in the U.S. in 2009? Definitely. Before that, though. . .

And it's proof that they don't give a shit if their decisions injure or kill anyone. All the people on the FDA panel care about is who's lining their pockets. Just like the majority of the govt.

I've still got a stash of old, unused, 901 batteries. Now I can't help but wonder if I should hang onto them until the dust settles.

I know nothing about them, but I'm temped to say YEP. I know some say don't panic, some say BUY ALL THE STUFFS!, but I panic ANY time I see a lot of chat about regs. This one was a HUGE bomb.

Yea lol, I was planning on selling a bunch of rdas and mods off that Im not using, but now Im thinking I better keep it all. ALL FOR ME! Nah, Ill probably still sell a bunch of shit. I mean, an RDA isnt gonna fry up or shatter. Its basically just a little block of metal, not much can happen to it if you take even minimal care of it.

Ditto and I hear ya. I don't trust the govt one iota; even a whisper about new regs is enough to make me worry. Those batteries are weak and crappy, putting out very little vapor and dying within an hour. But I do still have an old charger that'll charge 10 of 'em at a time. . .

Just got one of my credit cards paid back down and here I go, filling it right back up because of the govt *sigh*

I started stockpiling as soon as I started vaping. I still have at least a dozen 808 thread cigalikes, and the --- hold your breath ---- x2 pass throughs with an amazing 650 mahs . And because I'm cheap, I have 510 adaptors for them all!

I wonder if the shithead fucking tobacco companies will come out with their own mods, or if we will be stuck with shitty cigalikes.

Fucking dicks. I can't believe this shit. How the hell can they regulate vapor as a tobacco product? It's bullshit.

As useless as it is you still need to vote, that and any and all politicians that are even remotely connected to those who are out to kill vaping. Currently it's only the Democrats, as bizarre as it is, it's the DNC that is in a full court press to kill vaping.

You know - vapers need to band together and stop the political bashing. The Republican controlled congress could have easily stopped this and has not.

So we as vapers need to look past other differences and band together against a common cause.

I'm no fan of the GOP, but they have been the only ones even remotely supporting and most importantly sponsoring anything blocking the full court press to kill vaping.

The head of the DNC herself is pressuring all in the party to kill vaping. So what does that tell you?

Damn I only have 1 mech, I should by more, I'm mainly focused on buying replacement parts for my current gear, glass ect for my rta's and rebuild kits for my rdas so I can keep them functioning far off into the future. My biggest concern by far is nicotine, I'm not a diy'er so all the gear in the world isn't going to do shit without juice. Definitely picking up another mech or 3 though before then panic buying clears everything out.

I think the flavorings will still be around too. They were in use by the food industry looooong before vaping came about. So were pg and vg. The ONLY thing I would think they could regulate would be nicotine.

Trying to regulate any of the other components would be like trying to ban water because somebody found a way to smoke it.

I think I'm going to buy a few mech mods, a few attys and a shitload of batteries. Then, my friend who does diy and I are going to get a beer keg sized amount of 100mg nic.

The government can suck it at that point. God forbid people want to drop a pack a day filthy fucking habit. Why enable that right? Viva la revolucion!

I posted this on another forum:

Vaping has .5% of the bad stuff in cigarettes. That's right - point five percent. It's been tested. It's been analyzed. The health benefits I've enjoyed since I quit smoking have proven it to me in spades, firsthand.

What's going on here is that people are cutting into tobacco profits, so the tobacco companies want you to buy THEIR shitty e-cigs only (and they suck), or smoke cigarettes.

If it gets to be a hassle for me, I'll just quit. I'm only on 3mg nic now anyway. The next step down is zero. It's a hell of a lot easier to quit vaping than smoking.

The cigarette companies want you to use these e-cigs:

Because they don't make any money off of these:

And they are extremely worried about this:

The sharp increase of vaping vs. the steady decline of smoking. That is the long and the short of it. Period.

This is bullshit.

I've got over 6 liters of 48mg nic/PG base in my freezer. Should last me 12 years at minimum. Not yet concerned about anything else as long as China keeps providing.

They cant really mess with the batteries or the flavor extracts as although used in vaping their primary purpose rests outside the hobby.
As for nic, you can extract your own, its easy as shit.
Only thing left to do is stock on drippers and more mechs....

Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk
Are you sure it's easy to extract nic? from everything I've read and heard it is not easy and requires a lab and equipment .....if you know some way of doing it that the average DIYer can do please tell us..start a thread..because this could really help out....

Kinda looks like that here, and not looking too easy at that.....
exactlly...not easy or cheap, and I'm thinking most likely kinda dangerous as I'm betting the solvents used to do the extrations are highly flamable as I see no open flames anywhere for the evaporation of the solvents. I just heard of a guy here locally that lost alot of his sight playing around with butane extractions of the medicinal herb.

Shit the future looks like going down and buying your chinese cigalikes.

I thought about that. I have a small farm. You can extract it fairly easily, but it will be a low grade product that tastes like tobacco.
no these things use actual tobacco leaf...you put the tobacco leaf in a chamber in the device then it has a heating element that heats up the tobacco hot enough to release nicotine and assorted goodies, but not hot enough to actually burn and create combustion...thus no tar.but yes it will taste like tobacco.which for me is not a problem.

Yeah, I'm going to be getting replacement parts myself. I've got 10 Mech's so I should be good there, I'll keep an eye out for anything else that may be a good deal though.

We'll survive for it's really just going to go underground and black market like it is in Australia and the EU. Pisses me off though how they're so in bed with Big Tobacco and Big Pharma. We need to really shake things up, I honestly doubt it'll have much effect but we need to make a lot of noise and not easy for them to screw us.

England has accepted vaping their royal college endorsed it as well as their NHS..it is only a matter of time before they discredit the idiotic and corrupt policies of the US and the FDA will be forced to accept reality.when England shows the benifits of vaping.

That's the same sort of thing I told my congressman during the first round of prohibition talk (back before they passed the Tobacco Control Act). That it'll lead to people extracting their own nicotine in clandestine labs, which will result in accidents similar to those we're seeing with the clandestine m*th labs.

Seems like everyone here is stocking up like crazy! Do we really think all this stuff isn't going to be available even if the ban does go through? MFS will still have their deal on NIC and there's always FT. I just feel there's always going to be another way.

Thoughts?

the goverment can pretend they made a mistake, they can pretend they are stupid, but they can't afford to pretend to be corrupt...once England and the rest of the world illistrate the truth the goverment will be forced to accept the truth or else they risk the masses realizing how corrupt they are, they can only play dumb for so long.

I think the nic and the devices will both be driven underground, with us having to go back to the days of sneaking stuff through customs and risking items being seized.
