So mom's ride stalled out in the heat in the lane of the highway.
Some kid guy stopped and called a tow truck for her and sat with her, he even covered it for her. WE are paying him back.
Today the car stalled out again due to a vapor lock same as last night.
I got it pushed around a turn around and down the street a red light at a run, then the cramps hit. Two kindly young women (of the cut off shirt and short hair type) helped me get it set in a parking space.
Fuel filter changed.
Make it with a 100 of home and we get the giant auto fuck you.
An hour later started and ran to the space.

Fuck car problems. I got a bunch of shit to test tomorrow I just cannot be bothered enough today to finish fucking around with it.

Since it acted like a fuel filter that is what got changed.
Started up fine, ran it for several minutes got up a 700foot hill and turned off out of traffic and dead.
45 minutes later able to get it in the right spot.

I have it narrowed down on the next step.
it is an ignition issue one of two sensors, or the coil packs.

I'd check your fuel pump and wires and relay. After that I'd move to ignition. But I'm leaning on fuel issue

These new cars have so many sensors and things, I'm old I can remember when cars were so much simpler than they are now

Sounded like a fuel pump that's on it's way out, from what I'm reading here. However, like Boat said, "wires". It's AMAZING what a new set of wires and plugs can do for a car.......especially if they haven't been changed in a while, or worse.......NEVER at all.

I ment the wires to the fuel pump. Its not always a part going bad, sometimes the connector is a little loose or you got a wireing bug thst goes to the part like a short or cut wire thst intermeintently connect and what not

I know that changing the plugs and wires on my 14 y.o. Chevy Cavalier made it STOP crappin' out on me. (Yup, I thought that I had changed them once before, and it turned out that they were the 13 y.o. originals)........Just sayin'.

It doesn't help that we don't know how old the car is, what kind of car it is, how many miles are on it, if it was bought brand new, or was it someone else's problem before......Not to mention if the car's ever been serviced for any more than an oil change as well.

No problem Boat........I know. For all we know......Could just be a PLUGGED up air filter that desperately needs to be changed. Most of us know, that you need fuel, spark, and some airflow too;).

For a motor to run you need air, fuel, spark and compression. The one thing alot of people overlook ks compression.

I know that and it does turn over but with this car it is often times the crank sensor. need to get an extension and consider press ganging the neighbor kid.

Hate to say it, but my list of suspects would be fuel pump forst cam and or crank sensor secound followed by coils and then moving onto pcm.

Then my list only gets shorter dude. Ive found intermeintant stalling issues that arent fuek pump or fuel pump wireing related are normally cracked cam or crank sensors. After thst, crack coils, after that and its omly been once, the pcm was just fucked.

Fuck no that is 200 bucks and a back seat climb.
The pump is working it is NOT fuel.
Also, have you checked the wires to the pump? Not saying its defintly the pump but me personally i like to rule out everything in one system before moving on unless evidence proves otherwise. Coukd just be a loose connection at the pu,p or inbetween.
