Hi Jimi....hope you had a great day... with some rain Rich may have sent.....:teehee:
Well @Jimi did my rain get there yet?

It was partly cloudy/partly sunny today and actually went all the way up to 75 (thunderstorms lurking around all horizons at the moment). I managed to finish scooping out the chicken coop (6 more wheelbarrows) and putting in a bag of fresh pine shavings, etc., etc. All total, that was 16 wheelbarrows at 8 cu.ft. each or 128 cubic feet of chicken shit moved from the coop to the compost heap. While I was doing that, Lannie was busting her butt in the garden, digging and planting. We're both pretty worn out now.

Yup, the floor required a lot of hard scraping with a special tool because that crap was real hard (last cleaned in September). I was real careful with the head, but staying bent over so far in order not to hit the head has really made the back extra painful. Oh well, life's a beach... SURF dude!

You use that chicken crap for fertilizer? It does wonders. We used it all the time when I was growing up.

Yes, but not alone because chicken crap is way too hot to put on the garden all by itself without aging. I mix it with horse crap and cow crap and some old grass/hay and age it a couple years. When it finally gets to the garden, it looks like fine dirt, but makes a truly excellent fertilizer.
