Just checking in- it's been a while
Anyone get anything new and exciting or see anything new and exciting?

well, i now have 3 sigelei sobras.
i have gold n rainbow, the only non snakeskin ones around, plus, my original ugly blue snakeskin.
this is a lifetime supply of snakeskin, of which i'm no fan.

i wonder if anyone could give me some guidance , here,

see, i vape 4 mods at a time, as i relax.
i can't taste actual flavors, but i do taste something n my 4 flavors are different.
so, i need another sobra to give me a set, but without snakeskin.
you can only find snakeskin, rainbow n gold, no matter where you look.
but, snap
posted a pic of available colors. they include both black silk n red silk.
these are not snakeskin n i want them.
even better, they appear to have black deltrim caps, instead of the pee color.
for that matter, i'd love to find the tanks with black caps.
i was gonna store mine away, but the coils last forever.
very convenient.

the colors i want may not be available here, but if they are, i sure want them.

ideas?
suggestions?
please?

Only thing I've gotten lately is the Sailboat Mike sent me. I spent a lot over Black Friday so I've been backing off some.

i guess the snake look is the big selling point, but witrhout snakeskin, they don't look all that snakey.

mostly, i shoot snakes if they have rattles n are near the house.

well, they were a little high, but i ordered the red silk.
i wanted 2 but this gives me a set of 4 cute ones, with 2 back ups.
that seems a lot for my first 3 months of vaping.
it was nice of you to find that, snap/
a set of 4 was important.

Nice colors Pami!
Yes I spent more than I should have the last few months- so many great sales, hard to resist.
I got the hubby the Orion Q (non-DNA) pod to try out and he likes that.
I got myself another Kaees Solomon V2 RTA for my Thor- much better now!

Where did you order?
Element Vape had really good prices on those? Plus a 10% off sale.

You should have seen the gear I was using my 1st 3 months of vaping over 4 years ago- LOL!
So much great gear out for sale now- you are lucky!

I actually like the snakeskin print-
I have 2 Lost Vape Therions with snakeskin covers.
Looks and feels like real snakeskin.
Can understand why you wouldn't like the snakeskin - not for everybody.

Yes Element Vape is great- I buy from them quite often, come pretty quickly at 3-4 days. For some reason the last time I didn't get shipping info- but went to my account and the info was there.
I saw that the prices were all over the place on that kit some as high as $68.00, but not too bad of a price from a US vendor. I think they have free shipping at $50.00- that is when I would throw in a pack of coils or something to get the free shipping.
I did not see any of the caps(tips) for sale in black- saw the tanks, but all had the yellow ultem color drip tip(cap)
Wow enjoy, glad you were able to find colors you like and glad you found a mod kit you like enough to buy 4 of them.

thanks.
the hand feel of these is amazing.
there is probably a design flaw in the drip tip/cap, tho.
the plastic cap screws onto a metal fitting.
i think there should be a metal sleeve in there.
plastic will wear away, i think.

still, the coils have not failed after weeks of use.
they are better than the other 2 coils i tried.

The Super Tank by Tobecco has a top cap kind of like that- I have a few and they work OK, and didn't strip. Not sure if any other cap(tip) would fit your sigelei Moonshot 120 tank since the cap is the whole top?
I looked at Fasttech and don't see replacements there yet.

Would something like this work for your drip tip?

i dpn't know. i think it has to screw on.
if sigeli is a good company, they will offer replacements.
i'm thinking of drilling the hole bigger so i could shove a pretty 510 tip in it.

looks like these coils are proprietory, so if i wanna keep using them i have to buy sigelei tanks.

Try a 510 in the tip without boring the hole 1st, may find one that works? Some of my wide bore tips will let me fit a 510 in it without boring it.If 510 has orings, may have to take them off to fit it in.

Yes those caps I showed from FT screw onto a metal post and may work with your tank.

oh? i didn't understand that.
that's from china?
thanks for showing me.
i do need them. they are ever so much prittier than these ugly things.
the opening is just a smidge to narrow to get a 510 in.
i have some pretty ones noe, but i'm not sure i can drill these.
i think one should have a vice to hols the cap before drilling.

i'd like to do something tho.
i've spent a lot of money trying to get pretty things.

i got these sobras for the comfy feel, but beauty is a very big deal.
they will be sitting on my coffee table in plain sight.
the ugly yellow drip tip goes well with my gold one but no others.

if i can't do something i'll have to replace the tanks, but i hate to
tanks are over priced.
i.e.
these tanks go for $29, but i got the tank plus mod for $36.
that's crazy.

I hate to be a party pooper, but I'm doubtful about using anything as a replacement cap for that Sig Moonshot 120 that isn't specifically labeled for it.

The top cap has to fit snug and it has to seal so that all your liquid doesn't come pouring out of the bottom airflow vents. Even if the circumference is right and the threading onto that center chimney is right, the chances of the seals and o-rings being in the right place are slim.

I also don't see any replacement caps for sale online for that tank.

Obviously this is just my opinion, I have no way of knowing, but hate to see money and time wasted.

I have a few of those FT Mage caps- maybe I could send one to Susie to try- even though they are for the Mage- they work with my Tobecco Super Tanks.
I agree- hate for her to waste money if they don't work.
I went to Sigelei site and they do not sell the Caps for her tanks- yet - maybe she could write and ask.

This is another one of those non-standard things that just really burns my backside. Almost seems like some of these companies design their stuff to where, if you have a 99 cent cap to break, for example, you have to spend $30 because of a bad 99 cent part. Why else would they make things non-standard and then not offer replacements? Not even any color choices!

I totally agree with you- to not sell the replacement parts like the tips and glass really stinks- another is proprietary coils- I have the Asvape Cobra Tank- love that tank, 6 months after buying 4 of them- I could no longer get the coils- I can get them, but thru Ali-Express, no US Vendor carries them any more.
I think all sub tanks should come with an RBA just in case we can't get the coils. Some tanks we are lucky with and have other cross compatible coils- but some don't and it is so frustrating when that happens- actually why I started buying RTAs RDTAs and RDAs.

thanks, guys.

if sigelei fails to offe rreplacement caps at some point. i'll lose all respect for them.
using plastic for a part that requires metal n then failing to offer replacements sounds like a cash grab, except
i won't buy more sigelei products if that's the case, nice coils or not.
there are cuter tanks i could find.

i'm not sure if the cap has to seal.
once you remove it, there's a split membrane that covers the fill port.
you push it aside with the fill tip on the juice container.
i suppose that that may be a failure point too.

Yes, ma'am! When I started using sub-ohm tanks I already knew that, if I wasn't careful, I'd end up having to keep many different types of coils on hand, and that just wasn't acceptable to me. I decided to stick to tanks that used Atlantis-compatible coils. There is probably more cross-compatibility with Atlantis coils than any other style, but now enough time has gone by that even those tanks are hard to find. I guess the one that's most compatible and most widely available now is the TFV8 Baby Beast coil, about which people often don't have good things to say, because Smok overrates the wattage ranges on their coils, people push them to the limit, and they burn up. I've replaced all but one of my tanks with rebuildables now.

rebuildables certainly make the most sense, for those willing to bother.
but there are people like me, who think just changing drop ins is a big pain.

bad enow that one's life has to center around batteries.

Well there's snakeskin, and then there's snakeskin, iykwim. Sigelei's take on snakeskin isn't quite the same as what you see on those Therions. :)

I used to think the same- but rebuildables aren't that bad. Get a single coil deck a top air flow ( no leaking)and you can buy pre made coils- not hard at all.
An RTA like the Kaees Solomon V2 is pretty easy and quick. You can also remove the wick and dry burn the coil then rewick takes just a few minutes.

I love snakeskin too- why I bought the Therions- LOL
I have 2 pairs of snakeskin boots and some purses too.
I had to buy a snakeskin cover for a regular Therion and take the skin off of it and cut it to fit the Therion BF.
They don't offer the Snakeskin for the Therion BF. :)

snakeskin could work, but not sigelei snakeskin.

LOL-
The Sigelei Snakeskin looks pretty bad- they even did snakeskin on the tank.
I agree I like real snakeskin, not a decal of it.

pami, i was looking at that sailboat, due to the striking colors.
but i see it's all plastic.
how does that affect it?
It's got a good weight to it. Doesn't feel cheap like the Penguins.

nice colors, snap.
i'm a fan of rainbow.

i see there are some nice mods produced in the usa.
this guy on the other forum calls himself custom classic.

he makes the most beautiful mods. not engraved, just classically simple in the ancient athenian sense.
i was trying to figure out how to come up with $400 when i realized that i didn't know if i like squonkers.
then, i saw it's unregulated.
no way i could be trusted with a mech.
anyway, if you wanna see an american mech, it's at

I want one of those. Have been seriously looking at them on VR. Fantastic price, too.

Yes Vapor Range is where I was stalking it for weeks until I finally broke down and bought it. Awesome price for a DNA mod!
Not a small mod, but comfortable and solid. Long battery life too. The only con so far is it is a finger print magnet oh and not a C DNA like my AsmodusThor or Therions, so no replay for this one.
I didn't buy the Lipo battery - that would boost this 167 to 250w- no need for that for me.
The Oni is really nice and I think you would like it!

well, i got my new sobras.
colors don't match the discriptions n online pics tho.
the red silk is really a matte hot pink.
the rainbow is beautiful, but not what i understand as rainbow.
it's purple with blue accents.
this hobby is expensive because of poor quality stuff.
yesterday, the smok died completely, after 3 months.
then today, the sense vjet decided that fully charged batteries were dead.
that mod was 2 months old.

if not for snap's kindness in sending me an ijust, i'd be having big problems.
i'm down to my home ones n the purse one.
no backups.
i spent more than $100 on those two, which is really expensive for a couple months use.

Wow-
Sorry to hear on the mod problems- I am glad I sent the iJust 3 to you, I never used it and hope it lasts for a while for you!
The Hot Pink Matte color sounds very pretty- you are right though, the colors on the photos of many mods don't match what you get in person.
Sigelei makes great mods- so hopefully the Sobras will last a while for you.

kinda scary using that, but i got it for $30.
since this seller made money on the deal, the markup is high.

I will keep my eye on sales of the Sobra in White for you- Element Vape doesn't really have too many sales.
I really think you should try the Asmodus Minikin V2- I think you would love that mod- very easy to use, very small dual battery mod. Great sale at Vapor Range! I have had my 3 for about 3 years and still look and work great, this mod comes in many great colors too!
The Lustro is very similar, just a tad larger and a very good price at Vapor Range too and many colors.
I have bought a few things from eBay and have not been disappointed yet. I have a few things in my cart waiting for another coupon sale.
Figures- a few days after I bought my Nebox wrap- there was a 15% off coupon- ugh! Now I am waiting for another coupon to get another Nebox wrap and the Micro mesh polishing pads for my stabwood mods.

I ordered an Aspire Puxos kit a couple of days ago. It's supposed to be here tomorrow. Also ordered the RBA kit for the Cleito tank (I read somewhere on the Internet that the regular Cleito rba is supposed to fit the Cleito Pro tank - sure hope so).

Think maybe @Countrypami has one of these kits, not sure if it's the same panel design or not.

I'd said that I wasn't going to buy any more Aspire mods, because I just haven't had good luck with them. This was such a good deal, though, and the kit comes with a 21700 battery, I just couldn't resist. Stock photo:

dreams_c1.jpg

I bet these panels are made of material similar to the battery cover panels on the Voopoo Vmate. Now that I'm accustomed to that mod, those panels don't bother me. Nice thing about the Puxos, Aspire sells the panels (if you can find them in stock anywhere) for about $5, in various patterns and solid colors. Think I might order some solid silver panels if I can find them.
