I just got my Kangxin V3 Vaporflask today, 40watt with temp control. The temp control works, it works REALLY well and is accurate, the watts and volts displayed when it fires are on the mark. on a .38 ohm standard Kanthal coil, Ohms law calculated 40 watts at 3.89 volts. The V3 displayed 3.9 volts.
In temp control mode at 22 watts, 470 Degrees with a .17 Ni200 coil, the mod just varies the watts down as the coil hits 470 degrees, there's no "Temp Control" messages flashing at you, the mod just does it's thing and lowers the watts while you vape. Overall, I'm really impressed with the construction and accuracy of the mod. The bottom battery caps screw in flush, the charger works, and the left/right/stealth/wattage lock functions work. There's no wake up time from sleep before the mod fires.
The positive 510 pin is adjustable with a slot screwdriver, it's not spring loaded, my only functional negative about the mod at this point. For the price point of $70, this mod is an incredible value. I'll deal with manually adjusting the 510 positive contact at that price. If it holds up to daily use, it will be a real challenger to the $300 authentic. I've used an authentic and the fit and finish on the clone are actually better. No missing screws, no DNA40 screen pixelating problems.
The bottom of the mod has made in USA on it with the Vaporflask logo, that's a negative in my book. Kangxin made a good clone, why not just put their name on the bottom? The mod is finished nicer and works better than the authentic, why not capitalize on that?
