Mine was in the Anaheim sort facility from Monday until early this morning, and it's magically at my post office now. So don't lose hope... USPS=facepalm.

@anendeloflorien there's an awesome shop called Denver Electronic Cigarettes in Glendale on Kentucky just east of Colorado. Chris is the owner, Cara is always there, they have great prices, and tons of premium juice. I just hang there, they're super nice. Also, VaperTech on Hampden, and Centennial Vapors are great, too.

Mine is scheduled to be here Friday. Might be a bit before I dive into the temp control aspects. Just got tired of my MiniV2 ripping through 4 batteries a day, figured why not get this one after reading a lot of positive reviews. I was very pleased with my MiniV2 and heard not so rave reviews on the IPV4 so this sounded about perfect. I like the option of having temp control available, just not sure when I will get around to using it. Summer time and lots of fish to catch cut into my vape hobby!

Lucky you!!!

It's been in my possession for a good hour, I've already vaped almost a whole TCT tank. The battery meter fluctuates a bit oddly, but I metered them and they're draining evenly, so just something to keep an eye on. It's not battery sag, this chip doesn't show that, at least in TC mode, nor does the 4. I need to re wick, and or re build my nickel attys, but the TCT is making me lazy. I have three now, lol. It's a great tank. I'm very impressed.

This thing is far superior to the 4. Having a 3, I expected that. The battery door is sure nicer than using one of my millions of blue screwdrivers on my O.G. 3. My 4 reads the .15 TCT coils at about .127, this one at .15 on the dot. I know my 4 is consistent, and read the atty the same as on a Snow Wolf, but this seems more accurate. Just a well built device, I'm really pleased. The 4 will become my work nickel mod, now. Good stuff. I need to find a PC, or a shop that will update my firmware, on my O.G. 3, too. Not in a rush, since I don't need the power, nor do I plan on trying Ti immediately. I'm a Mac guy, so I'm screwed for firmware unless I buy and install Windows... Fuck that. Back to vaping, and maybe building.

Even though I haven't received mine yet, I am so glad I passed on the IPv4 clusterf**k that is happening currently. Dodged a bullet on that one.

I wouldn't classify it as a total cluster as I have one and happily using it.

I was referring to the how they're bringing out the "s" model, before updating original.Wasn't trying to knock the device itself, just Pioneer's handling of the situation.

I actually have 2 and love them not 1 issue with either. From what I have heard is that Denny over at P4y is planning on releasing an update for the current ipv4 to run the same software as the ipv4s.

So, my touch sensor is a bit wonky. It doesn't always fire, and this is when activated, and awake from using the button. The real issue is that it doesn't work with TC. It just fires, the voltage stays steady, and it will burn the wick. Anybody else experiencing this? I'm wondering if it doesn't work correctly with TC mode. It's not a huge issue, the button works fine, I'm just curious if this is normal. I don't want to send it back, but if everyone else's touch sensor properly fluctuates the voltage for TC, I might have to. Mine will just fire on a steady voltage, no dry coil message, and a nice dry hit. I've tried multiple attys, pulled the batteries, really all I can do to troubleshoot.

I just read through the thread a bit, it seems others have mentioned the touch sensor not working right with TC. Specifically @HoustnWeHavUhoh , I'm curious if yours does the same as mine, since you said it doesn't work right in TC. I really don't want to deal with exchanging it, especially if it is normal.

Good thing I didn't jump the gun and buy this one. I'll wait for the ipv 4 update and be happy till something else comes out that's better.

I'm thinking it's software, not hardware. It functions perfectly in power mode. That suggests to me that the sensor is obviously working. I'm interested to hear of other peoples experiences, though. At least it's really just a novelty, and is unnecessary. Everything else is great.

So it will adjust to temp and cut off just like the button? Did you try prior to upgrading? I haven't upgraded yet. Glad you like it, btw. Don't know what I'm gonna do, will wait it out for more replies.

I just made sure it turned on and fired then immediately updated it. So I don't know if touch worked in TC mode before update. All I've done is use touch sense to fire the mod.

Well, I just upgraded, used my dad's laptop. Wanted to try prior to contacting the vendor. So far so good. Turned on the touch sensor, it's working perfectly in TC, now. I wonder if others have the same issue... As long as it keeps functioning I'm fine. Was really not looking forward to exchanging it. Typical P4Y beta testing with us. All is well so far... Back to loving the Li!

In my usual tendency with vaping, I ordered one today... I posted earlier In This thread saying I was skipping it, that didn't last long. My 3 is just so more solid than my 4, and at Mile High Vape Fest last weekend, amongst a shit ton of other stuff, I tried one out.

Vape Fests are awesome, was my first. This belongs more in the tank section, but being TC related, I'll post it here. I got a ton of stuff, great deals.

I got two Smok TCT tanks, and a couple VCT Pro coils, they're the same tank, just come with different coils. I highly recommend them. They are awesome, so far I've only used the nickel heads, but the flavor is superior to my Arctic, and they hold 5.5ml, which is huge. They upgraded the Smok tanks, the coils look very similar in design to Arctic ones. Huge side rectangular wicking, organic cotton, and easily as much airflow as an RDA. They were only $15, kinda kicking myself for not getting more. They're about $20-$25 online, and well worth it. Makes building nickel RDA's almost pointless, especially if I can re build the coils. The drip tips are super nice, too, and regular 510. There's a top heat sink, and the tips are stainless, with a glass mouthpiece. You can open airflow on the tip to cool the vape, if that's your thing, too.

They handle up to 600 Fahrenheit, I keep mine around 513, no dry hits, wicks max VG like a champ, and flavor is excellent. Anyone looking for a new tank for their TC mod should check these out. They come with green, red, and black o rings, two .15 coils, and an extra glass section. Very highly recommended. My Arctic drinks juice, and has a tiny tank, these guys are great, and they look slick.

I can't believe I ordered an Li, I knew I would, lol. Gotta have backups for everything, so I need a second TC mod... Right? ;)

Thanks for the heads up on the TCT, bet tank I have tried so far for TC. Still not as good as I know it can be, but a darn good deal for the money and it puts the Kanger and Atlantis to shame with nickel coils.

No problem! I got three at $15 a pop... I'm pleased. Now that the firmware upgrade seems to have fixed my touch sensor in TC mode, I'm a happy camper! Hope you got in on the deal for the TCT, it a shame you can only get one a day. I lucked out at the vapefest, and they're local for me. They beat the hell out of my Arctic Tank, flavor, and capacity. Haven't tried the Ni200 Arctic Heads, but the 2.5 ml capacity is a joke, it's gone almost immediately. The TCT with 5.5ml lasts a respectable amount of time.

I've found I can dry the tank, and dry burn the coils, too. I just turn the temp down to around 400 F. I can vape the heads white and dry, then flavor changes aren't an issue. Still prefer my RDA's, but these are pretty damn close.

Finally got the coupon code to work. They have double listings of the sale items. You have to select the ones that say (Vape Meet) in the title in order to use the discount code. Thanks again for the deal ordered me one today :)

I did the upgrate (upgrade lol). I'm getting 200w and can adjust to 100j but can't figure out a way to save the joule adjustment into one of the memories.

Cheers,
Steve

PS I love the mod, built like a tank and so far works great!
I haven't found a way and I don't believe there is one. Pm can be done, but it doesn't work for joules.

I got mine there. Straight up, no bullshit, arrived in about 4 days I think. Will definitely use them again.
I ended up ordering from them. They sent it out quickly. Now, USPS out of L.A. area...not so much. Should have been here yesterday, and it didn't arrive. Now I got to wait till Monday. Damn I hate USPS!

I'm really enjoying this mod. Still working well after the update, I suppose my firmware out of the box didn't like TC and the touch sensor. Hope it keeps working, but I'm not concerned. This is such a more well built mod than the iPV4. I need to get the balls to open my 4 up and clip the balance board. I want to keep it as a beater TC mod for the road, I'm just hesitant leaving it in the car with batteries in it.

Also, my first Smok TCT coil was starting to get some burnt cotton, it was done. I was gonna throw another head on it, but I decided to tinker. I spent the last two hours or so breaking it down and rebuilding it. I got the coil done with 26g Ni200 using my coilmaster 3mm diameter, reading at .065. It's a dual parallel, but I figured I'd just try a single, and being a contact coil with Ni200, I used the coil master to make it perfect. Wasn't too hard, but wicking was what took me so long. I used rayon, took three or four attempts to get it loose enough to have a smooth draw, and not flood. It's difficult to wick. Now it's performing at 20J and 483 degrees, chucking vapor, but lacking a bit in flavor. No flooding or dry hits, though. I'm about done fiddling today, but I'll re wick it again, it needs a tad more. I'm using rayon, so I'm used to being able to really stuff it in, but it's a fine line with these stock heads.

Do those stock Tct ni200 coils use cotton sheets? I heard that Smok will release a DIY Pro coil head for rebuilding .

On another note Vaporleaf.com sent my Smok Tct tank out today, But their age verification that they require really freaks me out. I shouldn't have to supply parts of my social security # , My previous addresses and a picture of my drivers liscense. Thats alot of personal info to have to supply that could be hacked or misused.

Exactly I have never had a vendor ask for such detailed personal information before.

That seems like extreme overkill. I think the only time I've had to provide a copy of my license was for house, car, & weapon purchases lol. Def not a vape tank. Haha.

They do use cotton. It's a parallel dual coil, didn't even count the wraps, there were a ton, and the wire straightened out during disassembly. I just paid attention to where the leads went, I'm shocked I nailed it coil-wise first time, I.e. No shorts and actually fires. The wicking is tough, I have some work to do to get that down, might have to use cotton instead of rayon. The coil heads are very similar to Arctic Tank heads in regards to the rectangular huge ass wicking. That stays in tact, then it's just cotton around a vertical coil. They have a screen at the top, unlike the Arctic.

It lasted a week and I don't even know how many tanks, and at least four flavors. That's 5.5ml each fill, and I'm guessing average of two or three tanks a flavor, high VG, and chain vaping. I'm guessing a good 60ml at least was vaped before needing a change. I haven't owned a non RBA tank in over a year, but that seems good to me. I'd have to had re wicked a Kayfun by then. It's still painful to screw on a $3 coil, but oh well.

And they do have a rebuildable base out for the VCT Pro, so it should fit the TCT. I'm gonna order one. A website local to me who has met me before rather than ship has them. Qualityvapor is the site, there are some coupons on vape deals website, too. He's a good dude. Only issue might be fitting enough wraps of Ni200. I have 50ft each of the annealed Ni200 in 26, and 28g along with 100ft of 24g kanthal ordered thanks to the 25% off at Lightning Vapes. I'm very interested in the annealed nickel, it's supposed to be as easy as kanthal.

I hear you on the age verification, but I just had to give a previous address and the total from adding my first and last number of my SSN. No drivers license, I'm ok with what I provided. I wouldn't give my SSN, but everything else is public information, though I respect the hesitance.

Anxious to see how that RBA deck works out. The Quality Vapor site doesn't have it in the description but other sites specify that this RBA deck is not compatible with the VCT Pro which I thought was the only other compatible tank in their lineup with the TCT but I could be wrong. Other sources indicate the VCT Pro RBA deck is still in development.

Ok can't keep my trap shut, got my first app en route... Been meching car batteries and 8 packs of nimh for over a year since I had a rewired ego go off in the house. Think I made a good choice, my duracells 93rd due for a rewrap after a year, and I think I will leave an Rda 12v adapter ready more ohms than I like to admit... So yeah might kick this cough quicker if I quit burning my cotton. Never mind constantly improving the diy setup. Anyone think a few would be desired for others with bad lithium experiences? Wrong thread right. Anyway glad to hear about ipv stuff being solid even if the icing is crooked at times.

Just looked, and it appears to be for the VCT, not the Pro, so probably won't work. Hope one comes soon.
