It's being caused by my using the smallest deck insert. It creates a straw like suction that 's pulling juice through or past the wicking.

I know this because I re wicked it, filled it up and set it on a piece of paper towel. No leaking for an hour. I picked it up and pulled on the top of the tank and it started gurgling and then coming out of the bottom. The small amount of air being allowed through the airflow is being compensated for by the only other place it can be. Through the wicking ports.

I bet this is the problem that @Mykreign was having with the Xeta.

I also bet that everybody who tells me they're having no problem with theirs is using a bigger insert.
No insert in mine

I went and looked at all of the inserts and I can see exactly what you're talking about. Other than the chimney insert/chamber reducer there is no way to restrict the flow after the coil.

It sounds like the upper airflow needs to be matched to the lower. Is the upper airflow restrictor larger than the lower one? I haven't looked at the inserts that come with the VapeSnail because I don't use them.

I don't have the chimney reducer in. :wait: I didn't even know it wasn't in. I looked through the 3 boxes of parts that came with this kit and there was the chimney reducer in one of the boxes. That is going in right now.

I tried a highly unorthodox experiment. I just stuffed some more cotton in the wicking ports along with the existing tails. That reduced it to a BIT of gurgling, but no leaking. I've had it in the rat black for a little while now.

At least I'm on the right track. I still have the mtl chimney and and the deck inserts coming from Gas City for the Panda rba. I also need to spend more time with the Vapeshell. It was overshadowed by the Exocet and the Crossbow at the time and I never got back to it.

i put the chimney sleeve in and it made a pretty noticeable difference in the draw. Between that and the extra cotton, no gurgling or leaking so far. One thing that does rock heavily about the Vapesnail is the ability to change everything out without emptying the tank. Big BIG thumbs up for that.

I can't even believe all the crap that comes with the SXK full kit. There seriously must be 30 pieces all together here counting everything. i put aside a separate small box to keep it all from getting mixed into my already confused box full of BB stuff.

It will be :) It's actually vaping fine with the extra cotton stuck in the ports. Wicks perfect and that tiny bit of gurgling has stopped. That's not supposed to work.

Next time I'll leave the tails longer. It looks like wicking is different with the tighter inserts in there. If that doesn't work, I'll just stick more cotton in there again :D

Glad you fingered it out

It’s the one all inclusive atomizer I’d get for the BB if I had a BB.

Although there has been a revision to the prongs and seals, need to research that change

Thanks. So am I. I really was not looking forward to an adventure with a new piece of equipment at the moment.

This one really is all inclusive. I hate the way that SXK breaks it up into packages, but then sells the full kit too though. It can be confusing and I can see somebody buying the base atomizer not realizing that there's ALOT of other stuff not included. This clone kit is well worth 33 bucks. All the options and spares of all the bits except the big main bottom seal, which I bought a spare of anyway.

What prongs and seals?

It was a auto correct of O-rings and Seals... saw there is new ones redesigned or something of that manner on Fb the other day... but being I don't own one, I didn't read into to much

Has anyone tried the Heir RBA for the Billet Box?
I have not. That one came out right on the heels of Xeta-mania. I think if it would have come out first it might have sold a lot more. SXK never even cloned it. It may be a great RBA, but imho it wasn't special enough to draw attention away from the Xeta, which was only a couple months old at the time.

I wonder why they would do that. I haven't heard of any problems with the existing ones.

No idea, its just something I came across, could of totally misread it as the person putting new Orings... as I said, don't own it, so my attention to what goes on with it sort of lacks ;)

At bottom, this is a big part of the answer. It also makes me think I'm going to try the next smaller chimney reducer in the Xeta. I'm having no issues with my Xetas, but I bet the 2mm reducer in the chimney would work even better.

I really like the RNB. It looks very nice. That looks like a Nolli Designs drip tip and button.

Don't worry about the green. I foresee one in your future. The rabbit hole is very deep. :bunny:
I like the Nolli designs. Wish the little knobs were more sturdy it no problem

My mtl chimney and deck reducers for the Bridg'd came from gascity today.

Wadda royal pain in the rear to get set up. At least this clone was. Parts unscrewing instead of the ones that are supposed to unscrew leaving me using a pair of toothless pliers to get the pieces apart again. I had to take the o-ring off the key because it didn't fit into the top of the chimney etc. etc. Now that I know how it all works it will probably not be as bad going forward, but sheesh.

All that said, It vapes awesome. Seriously. Probably somewhat because I hit the combination of chimney and deck reducers on the first try, but it really does. Also no leaking or dry hits either right outta the gate. For mtl in the BB this one is up there with the Xeta for me. Maybe better. I haven't experimented much with the Vapesnail yet and I still want to try one size down for the chimney reducer in the Xeta, but this RBA is excellent. For mtl anyway. Not super tight, but not real loose mtl.

Been two weeks and they apparently haven't even started, so that ship has sailed.
That sucks man. Not like there are 100 billet vendors. The ones out there need to get their shit together. Lol

True, but believe it or not I couldn't find anybody else making even close to what I want. It looks like they may make exactly what I want, on three different accounts. If this ends up true, I will be fine with the wait. Fine with, but no likey :wait::D

There were no obvious build quality issues at all. Very good as usual from SXK. I think it's just the design lends itself to hoop jumping during setup. I just had to run to the store for an hour. No leaking when I got back and I picked it up and hit it, no gurgling whatsoever either. Super easy to get the wicking right, which probably makes up for the hassle of getting it built. The vape definitely does. Right up your alley too. It will replace one of my Xetas in the nugget at least for a while.

EDIT:
I should add that this is with 50/50 salts too.

I'm seeing it at 3F with 2.5mm af insert. Did you buy different af inserts?

Wick'd is supposed to be coming out with a Bridg'd 1.2 in a short time.
I'll bet money that they are improving some of the stuff that I encountered.

If done "right" the "good" clones can be that close. There's a woman over on ECF who has access to a laser scanning device where it uses digital laser sampling to get the fine dimensions on physical objects. She has an authentic Rev. 4b BB and an SXK clone. She sampled the body of both, inside and out, and said that the differences were practically nonexistent.

Clearly that's how they do it. They get their hands on an authentic of something, get all the dimensions like this, which I'm sure can be output as a file that can then be used to reproduce it perfectly on a CNC machine. Or nearly perfectly.

The point is that the clones are so close that whatever issues you have with them related to design are usually present in the authentics too. Which is why I say that I bet Wick'd is addressing those in the 1.2. Another one would be a lip on the open negative post making it easier to tighten the screw without the coil leg wanting to come out of there. The positive is a hole.

There's a chimney with a much smaller bore and a set of 4 deck/positive pin inserts that come separate with the SXK. I got both from Gascity in Canada because my Fasttech order had already shipped. They have them at 3F though too.

I don't know why they don't sell it as a complete kit. It irks me. They sell the Vapesnail as a complete kit with everything in it. Why not the Bridg'd?

BTW, don't use the free shipping or these days you'll be in a nursing home before you see it.

3F is sold out, but Fasttech still has em. That's where I got mine. All that BB stuff you have? You know you want this too
(btw, good to see that Goon getting some use)
Just hurry up and hate it, you can get it to me a lot quicker :wait::p

I love the Goon. I bought the Skeleton King to go with the Pirate king. They are so perfect together, but full disclosure the Pirate king is a so so vape at best. The mod though is going to be my favorite Mech I believe, and it is just rockin' with the Goon

Saw that

My biggest fear is the condensation at the key walking across underside of said key and dripping down on the battery.

Additionally the same to be said on the under side of the boro.

Have to wait and see.

I like the concept, and he is generally really good at execution and tolerances; now would I buy one over a billet if it costs more than a billet

I'd have to sell my Billet to get one and I'm not going through all that mess. I think I'm a bit burned out on trying to keep up. Even the Dvarw MTL FL hasn't got me hyped enough to get in on list. I've been focusing more on my DIY lately and getting better at that

Based on their line of colored Marrow boros this is logical. I don't think that I would own one but it's an interesting design. The side slabs look like cutout Billet Box G10 panels. It will be interesting to see what the price point is. The more they sell the more they can sell in accessories. And right now they are the only ones with boros that would look good in it, even if everyone else's would fit.

I had that thought as well. I'm not really into those colored boros myself. They just don't do anything for me and I've heard of a lot of people having fitment issues with them... the seals can be loose I guess. If there's some sort of optional cover for the Boro side I'd be interested, but that doesn't look promising.

Hopefully it's coming for ya, they seem to be lacking in promptness for sure, to put it nicely.

I have ordered from Ohman and love his stuff, but he couldn't do the buttons I was looking for. Love hits DT's for sure.
