The best part of Obama care was the pre-existing condition clause...

you mean uncle Donald managed to make a bad piece of legislation, even worse?

I wonder how the trumpateers are going to twist this into something good.

There's the rage...

Trump ordered the raid over dinner with no briefing. Obama carried out the raid based on intelligence, albeit shitty intell. Trump carried out the raid as a saber rattling PR stunt.

Good hell.

I'm no fan of foreign "adventures", overthrowing leaders and that sort of thing but you're so far out into left field on this one it's absurd.

Al-CIA-duh is a US enemy, no matter where they are. Let's forget about the previous administrations actions that helped spread them to countries all over and caused the current situation as you'd likely just blame me for deflecting, even though you'd likely have agreed with me BT(Before Trump).

Al-CIA-duh was there in Yemen. It was determined that there was likely intelligence to be gained. It was all determined before Trump became President and the Raid was planned under Obama. To say that there was no intel is ridiculous. To imply that Obama(given time) or Hitlery(had she won) would not have approved the raid is ridiculous.

In fact, I'd lay a bet that since it was considered that Hitlery was going to win, Obama left this one on the table for her to have some PR. If you think Obama set this aside for a Trump PR stunt when everyone thought Hitlery was going to win then you're living in a different world than I am. The intel was good. The raid happened and it should have happened. Al-CIA-duh is our enemy.

The little girl died. It's moot. Special Forces did not raid an empty nest or an innocent village. Al-CIA-duh was there and they fought. The reports from CNN's Pentagon reporter Barbra Star claim that valuable intel was obtained.

We can go back and debate how we got in the current situation but the fact remains that Al-CIA-duh is a threat that must be addressed. Limited military action against them is fine and dandy with me. I'm a non interventionist every bit as much as Ron Paul. But that does not mean doing nothing about the enemies that previous administrations helped create. I would have approved the raid. Packing up and pretending they don't exist is ridiculous. Placing blame on Trump for a little girl that's dead because of the firefight is ridiculous. It was going to happen under either President Trump or Clinton and to pretend otherwise is ridiculous.

Comparing a raid on Al-CIA-duh to indiscriminate drone bombing of weddings and funerals is ridiculous.

The bigger question is how did they know we was coming? Who leaked and why? My suspicions are that it was leaked for just this very discussion, political fodder. Someone, likely Saudi, wanted a Trump failure.

This still needs to voted on, and I doubt it will pass as is.
Granted, that's a premature judgement, but I'm pretty sure anything neither trumps name will be picked at like a flock of birds at a worm farm.

Ordering a killing of a American citizen without trial is different then collateral damage . The killing of that child was just that ,no matter how ugly it sounds .

I didn't read it just yet, but, According to EJ part of this is to remove that.

I don't see why they don't life the state to state buying ban, let people form their own groups and turn it over to the insurance companies.
It would sort itself out with real competition.

I love Ben Carson's latest diversionary tactic. Did you guys hear what he said?
Ben Carson Refers to Slaves as ‘Immigrants’ in First Remarks to HUD Staff
https://nyti.ms/2n8bvFA

Yeah, they really had a choice in being chained at the bottom of a slave ship. This turd is funny. Great diversion Ben!
Carson also grabbed a pussy, and he is also a Russian spy.....LOL

I never understood why that was not done when healthcare costs started getting out of hand. I can understand some states have different laws on certain aspects of it. But that never stopped liquor or dairy sales. You can't tell me that would be a huge hurdle in the medical practice.

Oh and you better be careful agreeing with me on anything in here. You might got marked for ostracization.

Oh damn, I'm sorry to hear that dude.

The worst is when you're having a problem and the issue has zero to do with a previous condition.
Medication alone is enough to break the bank; and, Lord forbid if you need any sort of DME.

Again this is state to state basis

For example
Uc health
UC gold
UC flex
Owned and run by the same CORPORATION..

The more options they create, the more corporate tax cut they get..
I'm not saying options are bad.. all I'm saying is
LOOTING TIME.. gets?

https://soundcloud.com/soundcloud.com%2Fduckfoot-johnson%2Fpaul-ryan-is-determined-to-kill Paul Ryan is determined to kill
He wants your health insurance
And he wants your pills
He wants to let you die
From a curable disease
While he celebrates
Obama Care’s defeat
Because Paul Ryan is determined to kill

Paul Ryan is determined to kill
He was supposed to become a doctor
But he didn’t have the will
Then his mommy said “No”
To his brilliant ski bum plans
So his Auntie to set him up
With the Oscar Mayer man
But Paul Ryan was determined to kill

(chorus)
Did he get his taste for blood
While he was behind the wheel
That summer he sold cured meats
From the Wienermobile
Is it the God like power
or is it the thrill
Someone tell me why is Paul Ryan
So determined to kill

Paul Ryan is determined to kill
He wants to take Medicare
From your grandma while she’s ill
And her Social Security
So she dies in the streets
Even though he paid his College tuition
With Social Security and…meat
Paul Ryan is determined to kill

(repeat chorus)

Maybe he became a selfish man
Because he loved those books
Written by Ayn Rand
You know she sang the praise
Of a child murderer
And despised the common man

And did you hear?
She was an Atheist
I thought Paul Ryan
Was a God fearing man

(repeat chorus)

Why should we not be given the same health care opportunities of those we hire?

We pay their salaries and benefits.

there's no way around it...we've been living on debt for so long and accumulated to much of it, and we have divvied up the economic oppurtunities to those that can afford to buy our political class and shut out true compeiton ,and upward mobility that a collapse is inevitable...on a gut level even the average person knows this, and all they are demanding is for the politicians of both parties is to keep the balls juggeling up in the air long enough that the collapse doesn't happen in their lifetime...to hell with their childerens future or the future of their grandchilderen, to the point that we in our cowardice, and sloth have sold not only our own freedom and wealth to the bankers we have forged the chains of servitude for future generations. We are not willing to make the sacrifices and do the hard work to ensure for a sustainable future. Like a farmer that always takes from the soil and never gives anything back... we delude ourselves that further borrowing or outright theft from others will prevent it, and the longer we ignore it like any other problem the more severe the remedy is going to be. Bickering over the minutea of our delusions is a diversion. This shell game of Obamacare 2.0 that the Uniparty is pushing is just more of the same...keep kicking the can down the road....Half The RNC wants socialism as much as the DNC does.

When it comes to healthcare, you should stick to wiping butts. :)

The problem is that healthcare costs are going up up up.

Insurance companies are restricted, by Obamacare, to 20% profits.

When you are restricted to 20%, the only way to increase profits is for the cost to go up. Using easy numbers, it works like this;

A procedure costs $100. The insurance company adjusts premiums to receive $120(20% profit)

If the procedure costs $150, the insurance company can adjust premiums to $180(20% profit) and make $10 more profit and still be within the law. They make $30 instead of $20.

Insurance companies are happy to pay higher costs because it's the only way to increase profit. There is no incentive for healthcare providers to lower cost because the insurance company is happy to pay the higher cost.

I don't see why they don't life the state to state buying ban, let people form their own groups and turn it over to the insurance companies.
It would sort itself out with real competition.

This is stolen from someone else(not my words) but might shed some light.

"The reason insurance can't be sold across state lines is that the Insurance companies don't want to be supervised under the Interstate Commerce Clause and Anti-Trust laws. One of the most cynical and disingenuous things they do is to pretend they're hamstrung by not being allowed to sell across state lines.

The insurance companies got the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1947 passed to prevent them from being under the Interstate Commerce Clause and Anti-Trust laws, and federal oversight. They prefer to go state-by-state, as they are able to influence state regulatory boards much more effectively for the most part. In some states, like my home state of Minnesota, state boards hold them to a higher standard. In fact, Minnesota was among the states least affected by ACA, since we already had higher standards for policies than almost any other state.

Overall, it works to their advantage. They ruthlessly prevent anyone from repealing the McCarran-Ferguson Act. The only reason they're even letting it be discussed now would be that they've gotten some sort of promise to be exempted from the laws that affect every other interstate business."

$1.25 is about what a week's worth of DIY juice costs me, so I'd still save $16.25 a week.

What's a short-term LBFM rental cost these days? ;)
Haha. Had to look up what the acronym lbfm meant.

To answer that question, I would say, I emphatically don't know. Being an American is enough to open many doors here, literally and figuratively.

I didn't know the name of the laws; but, I knew there was legislation in place that didn't allow it.
What bugs/baffles me is: all this effort over the past decade put in to transfering it over to government control, rather than using that effort to improve it and lowering cost, which in turn would make it more stable and readily available.

Surely helping people in misery is worth more than a 20% profit.
Does not matter if they have to sell their home to pay it or not.

Ohh wait the insurance companies are just middle men and do not medically help anyone....

There is nothing stopping you, or anyone else, of starting a zero profit or low profit insurance company.

I wonder why nobody ever thought of that before? Hell, all those rich crybaby actresses and actors could fund the start up costs. Just take the money out their investment accounts(that probably include for profit insurance companies). I bet 100's of people would be happy to risk their extra money on a venture with no possible return on investment. 100's of really stupid people.

Seriously, you should set that up. :giggle:

You do want to "help people in misery", right? :wait:

Polls say that the majority of Americans do not want Obamacare to go away.
If the Republican majority replace it with something that hurts the majority of Americans then there is what may cause an electoral blood bath for the republicans.

Of course the Republicans will also be working at ways of keeping more voters likely to vote in the liberal direction from voting.

More fake news....
are these the same "polls" that said Hilary would win by a land slide? People like you have been predicting a bloodbath for the Republicans since Trump announced his candidacy every single week....as usual you leftist are trying to manufacture reality out of your own minds..and ram it down others people's throats. ...Trump is sitting pretty, the bloodbath if any will be against the Democrats who are daily showing themselves to wanting to end free elections in America by either by hook or by crook or by bashing people with clubs....Obamacare was a con job and a joke it never worked. it never was supposed to work...other than to steal more wealth from the masses.Trump won the election..not the Uniparty....if the R or the Uniparty gets dumped or the D of the Uniparty gets dumped the result for the people will be the same.
I'm pretty sure the installation of a lunatic like Kieth Ellison in the DNC deputy chair is going to drive even more people away from the DNC.
