What if you throw a dead person viewing and no one shows? Well, the dead person and family/few friends that are considered family were there.
How in the world can I feel hurt that folks didn't show? On the other hand, who really enjoys looking at dead people? Even that lil blonde kid with 6 senses didn't enjoy looking at dead people.
Mom didn't socialize much except with our friends and family while she was in the Denver area yet I did think a few of her healthcare workers and few others who knew & loved her would show up. Perhaps the funeral service will see a few more folks. These rites and rituals are just for the living, I realize that but Mom was/is the best woman I have ever met. The world should be beating a path to Crown Hill to pay homage.
As y'all may have noticed, I have fairly dark humor. IMHO, there is nothing that cannot be made into a laughing matter. If I have offended anyone here, I apologize. Please realize that offense is not my intent. I am just blowing off steam in my own twisted way.
Mom looked pretty good. They didn't make her hair all weird and they didn't make her face some weird color. Lipstick was a bit too much on the pink side but that was my fault. She had purchased it previously and never tried it so I wasn't sure if it was more mauve or pink. It was good on me, but maybe it's different on a dead person. Different skin chemistry, ya know?
