Tech Leaders Promise Not to Build Killer Robots
I read that as "Leaders promise not to build killer robots". That provided a bit of a chuckle with what I'll admit might seem Luddite thinking. "So they're not going to further automate factories when it's more financially viable than hiring human workers?"
Not sure if people consider livelyhoods as being what provides life in a way or not. People need to work in factories to have money for debts, expenses. Some might not live without the work. In that sense automated factory robots become killer robots.
No I didn't read the article. Have been seein a lot of other different articles based on similar subject matter though. Think it all boils down to intention and use of any technology or knowledge. Whatever the intention of those weildingthe technology or knowledge happens to be is what you get or have in consequence.
Example, guns don't kill people, they are only inanimate objects. People kill people with or without guns.People beating people to death with their bare hands is even read/heard about. If another individual wants you dead and desires that desperately enough, nothing will stand in their way.
My pondering on it leads me to think about what happens to capitolism; When those who are the worker class can no longer afford buying the product they used to make, can no longer buy the product as they're out jobs. All kinds of surplus goods will get liquidated? Crops rot on the vine? Capitol if it follows that out, will suicide itself.
Aw well circuses need endings I guess.
