Telling people "don't smoke" has NEVER worked, why do you think telling them not to vape will be more effective? Some people are going to smoke... but it's much better if they start vaping before they ever even try a cigarette, so they have something to compare the smoking to -- and smoking will LOSE.

I'm just not in favor of telling other adults what they should or shouldn't do -- not a control freak, and it's completely ineffective anyway, as well as insulting to the adult you're trying to boss around.

    Haha. Really?
I don't care if you vape smoke snort dishwashing soap or drink bleach. If you want to do something do it. If you ask my opinion, you will get it. In my opinion, you shoud stay away from as much bad stuff as possible.
And exacly that is my opinion.
Im not compairing drinking bleach with vaping. Not at all. But if you want to smoke or vape. Please vape! Don't smoke, because vaping tastes better, is better for you and you don't stink like an ashtray after vaping.
As for me having to accually explain that is wierd, beacause that is a non question.
Everyone know by now, that vaping is a lot less damageing for you and everyone arround you.

Unfortunately, it is not true that everyone knows vaping is safer than smoking. Thanks to the FDA, the Surgeon General and a lot of phony scientists, lies about vaping abound in the media because they cite these so called "experts" who talk on and on about bad things that might be in a vape and how dangerous it could be without comparing them to how dangerous tobacco is proven to be.

And I am sick of opinionated ass hats telling people what they should or should not do. If the OP wants to blow clouds or jelly fish.. who the fuck are you to tell them no?
Now I am not going to tell a non smoker to start vaping, but if a non smoker is looking for information about vaping, I'll tell them anything they want to know, other wise, you have a noobie buying advanced mods, cheap batteries and blowing a hole in their face because nobody would answer a few simple questions.
You had your reasons to vape, and the right to vape if you want to or not. The OP has the same right, regardless of what his or her reasons are.
And @Klove1337 is right. There are many things you can start doing worse than vaping. On the plus side, since they aren't addicted to nicotine, they will probably just give up vaping when they get bored with it.
I always suggest a non smoker stick to 0mg or no nicotine, no point in starting an addictive substance when you don't have to, but that is all it is, a suggestion, or call it an educated suggestion.. as in I've been there.. done that. wish I didnt.. but I did.. soooo.. hopefully someone can learn from my mistake.

No moreso than caffeine. I don't see people having a hissyfit because someone wants to drink coffee who never drank it before.

Neither caffeine nor nicotine is "addictive." Both are mildly dependence-producing.

Smoking cigarettes is ADDICTIVE because the nicotine is absorbed RAPIDLY from smoke, helped along by ammonia and the MAOI compounds which cause the massive spike in dopamine.

once you accept you are a Nicotine addict you will be better off this out of touch mentality in vaping that Nicotine is non addictive is alarming .

There should be more concern over energy drinks, like Red Bull, Full Throttle, Red Rain, Monster, etc...
@MrScaryZ nobody said nicotine was not dependency forming, just that it not the demon drug anti-smoking groups have been portraying it as for years. Do some research for christ sake, and stop parroting what you see on anti tobacco web sites! Try "Side effects of nicotine" as a google search. May as well do caffeine while you are at it. It isn't the actual nicotine itself in cigarettes that is so dependency forming, it is the additives added to tobacco to make nicotine more habit forming. Besides which, the OP never mentioned wanting to use nicotine, just wanting to try vaping. Which is why they make 0mg nicotine e-juice. Who do you think is buying that? Ex-smokers to get a nicotine replacement? I highly doubt it. People that no longer want or need nicotine but enjoy vaping, is who is buying it, and non-smoking vapers. Now the actual fact is, if the op wants to chuck clouds or do vape tricks, they will likely be using pure 100% VG. Maybe they just want to vape to avoid snacking to manage weight gain or assist in weight loss.
If nicotine were the demon you portray it to be, gum and patches and inhalers would not be sanctioned as smoking replacement / quit smoking methods. Even Health Canada (our version of the FDA) has acknowledged that nicotine is not "highly addictive" on its own, without the additives in tobacco. Mind you, new regulations prohibit vaping products the same way as smoking products, and you can't vape where you can't smoke, but that is reasonable. Some people still don't know all the facts, but they are learning. Besides, vapers in general don't mind this regulation, if for no other reason than common courtesy. We don't like standing in a cloud of smoke, so someone else not wanting to stand in a cloud of vape, is equally valid, even though studies have found it to be totally harmless. (the amount of vape ingredients delivered via 2nd hand vapor are negligible) but again, not everyone knows that, yet.

And you are still just as wrong and just as much an asshat. And still none of your business what peoples reason for wanting to vape are. Mind YOUR business, and WE will mind OURS

Either way, just noticed OP hasn't logged in since nov26, and the question has been answered. Now it seems to be just Lil' Hitler wannabees trying to dictate what peoples reasons for vaping have to be and who should or should not vape. Ignoring thread.

The one nice thing about this Forum is one can say "anything" they want if a fleeting thought comes in that can be said its just as disturbing for you to too somehow validate yourself over and over that you are the moral victor here the truth is just the opposite no matter how you spin it. You seem to feel very self righteous in fact just as bad as those you claim to be fighting against. This is not about Vaping its about you being "right" plain and simple and no matter what anyone says you will respond as some moral zealot.

Mainly, because I am right. WHY a person chooses to vape in NOBODIES BUSINESS BUT THEIR OWN. Period. Nothing to do with moral victories, it is about basic human rights and freedoms.

    Interesting thread...
Hey Ray, do what thou wilt.

If you think you want to try vaping, read about it and make an informed decision.
As you can see we have varied opinions.
The very best thing to inhale is clean air..but you need not inhale to vape.
You can vape 0 nicotine juice and not worry about negative effects that nicotine might have on you
or you can use the stimulus of it to your advantage.

There are some chemicals to avoid in some flavors.

Low end equipment to try vaping would cost you 10 to 15 bucks on ebay
and a bottle of juice will cost you around 10. You can spend more money on better stuff if you get into it.
You can also buy a pack of cigalike type ecigs at most gas stations and convenience stores

    Have fun.

Nicotine has many good effects, it helps schizophrenics, enhances cognition and memory, is a stimulant but
as you said it can help one calm down and steady one's nerves (unless overdone).
It's a tool and like any tool it can be used or abused

In the going on 5 years I've been vaping I've seen the same question
asked dozens if not hundreds of times and imagine it will be asked again
It's the thought that counts my friend.. :)
LOL...There's a bunch of good stuff about nicotine I was tempted to list
but I didn't want anybody to accuse me of being long winded ;)

This topic should get the mercy killing it deserves.

So, the next time an anti-vaping spy comes in, drops a bomb, and leaves, we can give an appropriate response without hurling moral daggers at each other.

it was fun reading how quickly this one spiralled into complete anarchy hahahaha thanks for the read if anything peeps!

Just one thing to add really ...no one asked how old the OP was it was just assumed they were an adult they could have signed up with any sort of credentials ...peer pressure at school or something ...I know we have a policy of 18 and over but still worth asking for future "hand grenade" threads

Na just a question would have done it ....if they wanna lie then let's be honest won't make a blind bit of difference what we all say they'll do it anyway ...just trying to validate thier choice is all and let's be honest a forum will always have mixed views on just about everything :) And at least those who were all for it can go in the knowledge they haven't given improper advice

Or sadly some just like to wind people up to get a reaction because it's so bloody easy from behind a keyboard... what isn't easy is avoiding rising to it

Never heard of that ...just googled it ...well that's one way, or a simpler way is as I replied above ;)

Pretty sure I remember when I signed up the site has a disclaimer about being over 18 guess it's safe to make that assumption someone is an adult...just when I read the intro it didn't read like it was coming from an adult that was all
