So simple but so good. Taste like lemon cake with almond glaze. I like the way FA Torrone fluffs up and adds richness to INW Lemon Cake. Good after 3 days, but great after 6. Adjust to your taste, but try it as is first.
Lemon Cake(INW) 3%
Torrone(FA) 1%

That sounds delicious Squonk, thanks for sharing. I try to stay away from the diketones do you know if (INW) lemon cake has diketones?:D

I couldn't tell you one way or the other regarding diketones. Maybe someone else can answer that for us.

From what I understand, Inawera has never been a company to disclose any ingredients/additives of their flavors. I've also heard that even when asked, they state that none of their products contain diketones/diacetyl, or any of the like. Most consumers aren't convinced of course, and justifiably so.

Adjust to your taste, but try it as is first.

Okay, I just made some.."as is" and Boy was that a Lot of work!

First I had to find my bottle of pre-made @ 3% INW Lemon Cake. Then I laboriously measured out 5 mls of that into another bottle And popped in the 3 drops of FA Torrone.

Now, after shaking it up, I am taking a well deserved nap. :)

Okay RonJS, time to work a little harder.

Luckily for me, I was so exhausted from that last tough mixing session, I had failed to put those away. Finding those flavors should be easy. I believe they are right next to my LA Cream Cheese icing! Hmmm....;)

I now just need to wait for my pre mixed nic base to come up to room temperature. Seems like a perfect opportunity for a nap!

I just got some LorAnn Cheesecake and Cream Cheese Icing today.... tomorrow, I'm gonna try out some of that Lemon Cake with the Cheesecake/Cream Cheese Icing.... not sure if it will turn out more like Lemon Cheesecake, or Lemony Cheese Danish... should be good, either way. :D I've got some kind of pineapple flavoring around here too, thought I might try the cheesecake/cream cheese icing with some of that.

Some people like it...some don't. I've only tried it 3-4 times and the jury is still out.

After awakening from my nice nap, the LA Cream cheese icing again came to mind for use in your recipe. Maybe one batch, of course, your recipe... and one decreasing the Marzipan & Custard by .5% each and adding 2% of the icing? All of the flavors were just siting there and I though, "can't I make both"?
I did.:)

Ha! Right now I'll be content with the 30ml in the freezer. :p
That cream cheese icing sounds good though, and I did mix 100ml of lemon cake yesterday morning....hmmm.....

What I've heard about the Cream Cheese Icing is that a little goes a very long way -- like .5%-1% in a recipe.

Soon as I get done with breakfast, I'm on to mixing. :)

Oh, the CCI is wonderful! I have it and love it in other mixes, just haven't tried it with the lemon cake. ;)

Probably true cause I've used it at 3-5% and didn't like it much.

I mixed some up in this first time for me recipe on Feb 27th...

INW Lemon Cake 2.9%
INW Shisha Strawberry 1.8%
INW Strawberry 1%
LA Cream Cheese Icing 1.7%

Vaping it today, I really can't separate an icing flavor, but the lemon in the Lemon cake is certainly muted from 21/2 weeks ago. There's a mild strawberry background to the cake and the next time I make it, will change the strawberry flavors. Not sure about adding or decreasing the Icing amount.

I like this mix better than Lemon Cake stand alone.

Ok, thx, maybe I'll give it a whirl after breakfast, see if it tastes vapable. It was only a 10% flavoring recipe, and that light a flavoring percentage usually takes a while to taste good, but who knows, I haven't tried those flavors either.

This was the recipe I used:

Lemon Cheesecake
LA Cheesecake 4%
INW Lemon Cake 2%
LA Cream Cheese Icing 1%
TFA Vanilla Swirl 1%
CAP Sweet Cream 1%
TFA Sweetener 1%

Ok, I gave that recipe just above a taste, though I only mixed it yesterday. My verdict: needs to steep; it really didn't taste like much of anything at all, though I did detect a faint lemony taste on my lips after a few exhales. I'll give it a week, and try it again.

Others might not get the same results; I'm accustomed to mixes with 30% flavoring which taste good right away and hit their absolute peak at about 3 days post mixing -- I started using the high-percentages of flavoring just so I didn't have to fart around with steeping, but since I was completely unacquainted with any of the flavors in this recipe (except the Vanilla Swirl and Sweet Cream, but they're only background support), I decided to go conservative on percentages, and now I guess I'll get to see how steeping affects it. If it's still tasteless in a week, I'll set it aside for another week, but I also may do another mix with higher flavoring percentages.

Okay RonJS, time to work a little harder.
Lemon Cake(INW) 1.5%
Nonna's Cake(FA) 1.5%
Marzipan(FA) 1.5%
Custard(FA) 1.5%
That's right, I went there. I went there real good.

Somewhere (? :) ) I seem to recall that after a 5 day wait, it's time to give it a ride.

This would be my 3rd different mix I've tried with the INW Lemon Cake flavor. I also have 3 other mixes with it I've yet to sample. ( with FA Torrone (see post #1), with LA Cream Cheese Icing and with FA Saffron)

With the creaminess of the Nonna's and Custard coupled with the less than 3% level of the Lemon cake I'm used to; the flour cake flavor level was minimal but still noticeable. I also noticed those two additions also dulled the sometime lemon hard edge I tasted in the INW Lemon Cake standalone. Depending how one's feeling at the time, not necessarily a bad thing. Certainly I found no off perceptions from too much overall flavoring and the sweetness level was what I would expect biting into a real good cake.

I've tried a couple Nonna Cake mixes with the Nonna @ 3% plus other lesser flavorings I had hoped were in support. I will admit, for my tastes, I would raise the Nonna to 4% in future mixes. Certainly I believe it added to the enjoyment of the overall mix. but I could not separately discern the Nonna's or sense other cheesecake attributes in this recipe. Again, not a bad thing at all and probably not intended.

A lemony, smooth, well balanced and enjoyable vape.

Thanks Squonk!

I like the way Nonna's cake gives Lemon cake more richness that I feel it lacks and helps cut down on the sometimes overly lemon flavor. While the Lemon Cake helps calm the overly sweetness of Nonna's cake. I feel the two cakes play very well together. I also think this mix would make a nice cake base for certain lite fruits to be added to.

I shopped all over the place and BCV seems to be the only place that lists the INA Lemon Cake, but out of stock again. Anyone else have a source to share? Thanks.

Probably should stop here, but oh well. I bought in to the Nonna Cake hype and have been very disappointed. Tried 3 different recipes so far, including standalone at 3%, and I can leave it. Same for me with Joy. Must be my "taster" after too many years of smoking. Bummer. Sure wish I could enjoy it like so many others are.

e-aromashop.com.... best prices I can find on any size of INW flavors; reg airmail is only $5-ish and takes about 10-14 days, though I got my last order in 8 days. Don't worry about the VAT; their price WITH the VAT is less than inawera.com's WITHOUT the VAT. I don't know of any way to get either place to drop the VAT when you're not in the EU, but the good prices make up for it.

I loaded up with some Nonna's cake yesterday (@3%) after a 2 week steep and it changed in complexity for the good. Night and day from one week. I guess you can call me a flip flop-er.

If you have the same problem with Joy as I do with it tasting like nasty ass stale beer, then I'll probably not like Nonna's Cake either. I didn't really like the idea of the lemon flavor that everybody says it has anyway. I had no idea what real Nonna's Cake is, but I was hoping for something different. I checked BCV today and they have it listed, but OOS. I'm not sure if they had it in stock and already sold it all or have it listed, but haven't gotten their shipment yet. Maybe I'll just place my order and think about getting Nonna's Cake some other time.

Finally tried INW Lemon Cake, it is pretty good but it is a potent lemon flavor. I did mix the other recipe with 1/2 Nonna and 1/2 Lemon Cake. I'm going to let that sit for awhile to give Nonna a chance. The Lemon Cake could use some help from a cream, and Nonna needs something. Maybe this is it.

I get you on the joy Yooper. My first bottle was the bomb. I have had 3 more trials from bottles after and yes, stale beer. Too bad. I got Nonna from UK and I like it in small amounts to recipes. I tried it standalone at 3% and it took a bit to get used too. Then it kinda grew on me. Not bad, but not fabulous either as a standalone. I do wish to steep some to see what happens. It's not cakey at all to me. More of a ricott custard in a pie crust with a hint of lemon grinde. It is odd how FA has been putting out new flavors and people are tasting different things from the same flavor.

I'm going up the Nonna to 4% standalone and try it again. Joy to me tastes like a somewhat sweet very weak tobacco. Yuk. Speaking of new flavors, Eclipse at 5% is one of my favs now. Kind of an odd taste but I like it. Now it's a toss up whether to reach for Eclipse or RP's RY4, my long time favorite.
