The New Testament is pretty clear. Know God in your heart. That means it's a personal thing. It doesn't come from theists and atheists pounding it into you. You have it or you don't.

Therefore there is no right or wrong answer. Your diety comes to your in your own way.

Totally agree. That is the nature of faith. What strikes me as odd is the warrior mentality that some on both sides adopt.

Nice direct wiki quote.
Yet nowhere in that did I see what you say you actually believe.Time to fess up you're just taking the piss out of us.

It was a direct answer to those who didn't understand the "levels of belief". It matters not what I do or do not believe. That was not part of the premise of my argument.

So much wasted effort building that straw man.

Look, we know you hate atheists. That's your prerogative. But if you're going to challenge someone to a debate about it at least consider making a legitimate argument.

I don't hate atheists, nor have a ever stated that. My argument is quite legitimate.

"Militant atheist is defined as one who is militantly opposed to theism, theists, and religion. Militant atheists have an extreme hostility towards religious theism that entails a desire to see religion suppressed by force. The label militant atheist tends to be used interchangeably with fundamentalist atheist, new atheist, and anti-theist."

Got it now?

I would say that describes a good 80% of all aethists I've ever met......and then they get purple.

Doesn't seem like it. You ask leading questions, you attack straw men, you propose "levels" of atheism that no atheist here or anywhere I'm aware of subscribe to...

Just saying "my argument is legitimate" doesn't make it so.

Got what? Your assertion was that you could prove atheism was illogical. Pointing out some supposed faction of radicals proves what, exactly?

I mean, if you were actually interacting with some of these supposed "militant atheists" I suppose it might be relevant, but you're not, so...

I'm not convinced you know what your argument is.

Well, what part of my argument is below your comprehension level?

I'm still waiting to read what YOUR "level of atheism" is? My guess it is militant atheist (new atheist), and you're embarrassed to admit the scientific failings in that position.

The Catholics say "mystery of faith" for a reason. Could the strong/militant/new atheists do to same? Claim a "mystery of the faith of atheism"?

"we beieve in no god, no father almighty, who has never existed (since there is no proof), and abiogenesis just happened, as did gradual darwanism and punk eek evolution" (note, evolution theory is full of scientific flaws, and there is NO good theory about how life began. Don't even go to ribozymes so you can safe a little face.

That would be genuous.

No straw man was set up by me! Define your level.

OH no jesus let the plants die...how could he....besides I thought taking care of each other was your job. somewhere in your extensive spiritual studies you mistook God for Santa Claus.

Nah....I'm sure I could do better if I tried, but.....it is kinda late in my time zone and I get up early.
Meh....I brought the weak sauce.

Also, my job is to take care of me.
And honestly? I think I'm doing a fantastic job, if I do say so myself.

......and personally?
I don't think Jesus is responsible for a horrible tragedy, like an earthquake that kills 100's of people.
Just like I don't think he is responsible for the *1* little child that survives.

I totally understand, but since your so preoccupied to help the 20,000 who die in Africa that you were so curious about...well, I guess the poor bastards will have to appeal to ...people like this ....I'm pretty sure she would say something deranged.... like ....GOD sent her there.

Oh yeah.
The blessed Mother Teresa

There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains much from their suffering.

Might want to read up on her.
Evil, vile bitch, she was.

And I never claimed any personal aid/otherwise to the starving, disease infected folks in Africa. Just pointing out Jesus' wonderful healing/helping abilities.....

the woman has seen so much more of human suffering than you have ...than you will in 100 lifetimes...the closest you get is televison...you cannot hope to understand where she's coming from and you don't have the intelligence to realize that.

It's called "clean up detail". Looking after orphans because her church was so adamant about not using birth control.

well considering that the parts of India she worked in were totally dominated by Hindus who can't even pronounce the word "Vatican" you'd be hard pressed to lay India's poor at the feet of the catholic contraception policies..LOL

YES!!!!! Idiots. And all those "pro-life" idiots too. If they were REALLY pro-life, they'd understand that bringing unwanted children into the world is the WORST POSSIBLE thing you can do. All children DESERVE to be wanted... and if they're not, they shouldn't be brought! Just because you goofed is no reason to bring a new person into a miserable existence -- because if they aren't wanted, it WILL be miserable.

which part of HINDU did you miss. There are very few Christians in the slums of India......I really don't think you can blame the catholic church for the population explosion or poverty of India....rahter than blaming pro-lifers for India's slums you may want to bother looking into the culture of the Hindus and muslims that make up the population of India's slums.....or the green revolution, or the attitudes of rich Indians toward the poor.
