Maybe, and maybe not. A little blue bird told me there was YET ANOTHER lawsuit filed against the FDA today, I think it's the 5th one, with 5 excellent points of argument. Lemme see if I can find a link for that, I read it on my phone, so I have to hunt it up in my chrome bookmarks, while Im on FF here. *sigh* first-world problems, hm.

He's an elected official in WV, and sounds very intelligent; the motivating factor for him to act against the FDA was his own state passing that nefarious tax recently. Apparently becaue he's in the gov't and knows how it all works, he can do all the legal Discovery more cheaply and efficiently, and that material will then be in the public record, so that the other lawsuits can access it more cheaply and easily also. Sounds brilliant, IMHO.

I need some info please. I am thinking of trying ss wire and use rda's only. What are the benefits what grade and what size should I try. What is the resistance difference between ss and kanthol?

I use 26 and 27 ga SS316L in RBA/RTA's.
The resistance is about 1/3 less?
Use Steam Engine to figure it out.
I am still playing with it but like it so far.

So if I normally use 22 Guage on kanthol should I use 22 gauge ss? What are the differences in the types of ss?

It has significantly lower resistance than kanthal, but is more reactive than kanthal at lower resistance/lower wattage. I would go with 316L to start with, it's the most common grade. Depending on your setup I'd pick up some 24 gauge, some 26, and some 28. Plenty of flexibility in there for all kinds of interesting stuff.

The different types of ss refer to the combinations of elements in that particular alloy. But each one has its own benefits etc. 317L has a bit higher resistance, while 430 is the least durable of them all but has the highest TCR for more TC accuracy if that's your thing. But stainless is good for wattage mode or tc. Thats just a personal preference thing as far as I'm concerned

I'm all about flavor too. But be careful with SS on the mechanical mods. The resistance is going to be about half that as kanthal roughly. Also, gentle on the dry firing. Just a very dull orange glow is all you should be going for. Not that white hot madness people do with the kanthal
