Well, just broke my TC cherry. lol
I had been running the same parallel 28g 6 wrap kanthal dual coils in my Bellus since I got it last December. Figured it was time for a change.
I have a couple 30 ft spools of 24g 316L SS that I purchased a while back, so I did dual 6 wraps, 2.4mm ID, and was just able to squeeze them inside the Bellus. They started out spaced, but I had to squeeze them a bit to get them to fit.
I tried them on power mode on my VT133 first, and just now switched to the appropriate TC mode (using Wing's ecig file). Turned the temp way down, then bumped it up a bit to 360F. I'm liking the vape ok, still getting used to the subtle differences, but I've noticed a few things.
1. The nicotine hit seems to be a lot stronger! I was running the parallel kanthal coils at 28w. With these SS coils, when in power mode, I bumped it up to 32w to get a similar vape, and 360F seems comparable, but I'm getting a little dizzy off of my 5mg juice. Seems surprising to me.
2. I'm vaping a simple INW Biscuit standalone juice I made. There was a subtle cakiness with the kanthal coils that I'm not really getting from these SS. I just found that surpising.
So, given the above information, and the fact that I'm a total TC noob, does anyone have any feedback that would be relevant? I'm not disliking anything about TC and this SS wire, I'd just be curious if anyone has any input.
Also, I've read that certain TC wire should definitely not be dry burned, but my impression is that it's fine to dry burn SS wire. Am I correct in thinking that?
