Does the up button work to increase temperature or power?. It's odd that it won't work to get you into the profile screens. I'm wondering it the switch could be dirty and not registering the two clicks. Stuff like that bugs me until I figure it out. You could try a q tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and swabbing around the button (not dripping wet - it's the easiest thing I can think of without getting to the board) and working the button a few times in an attempt to clean the contacts. I'll look around on the Evolv forum to see if any other reports of this behavior are on it. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Cheers,
Steve
Steve...It's a brand new 133 I just took out of a box the other day, first tank of jungle-juice......:)

I just tried it again...the + button will adjust watts or temp, but not allow me to put in power mode from TC....weird...but it works so the hell with it....:bliss:

Just got one of those caps in the mail today. I got crapped on in the random color selection. Solid red except for below the o-rings. A speck of green can be found where nobody could ever see. AND, the bore on the cuff cap is smaller for those like myself that want to run a griffin adapter/tip. This is the biggest disappointment I've ever had from FT, so I consider myself lucky. But, I'll never use it.
I had considered buying one myself but didn't know the wide bore Griffin/Goon drip tips didn't fit which is really odd they would make them that way..Thanks for the warning . I even asked a guy selling them on ebay if they fit and he never replied. Now I see why.The resin wide bore tips Fasttech sell are hit and miss for the v1 since they are friction fit..however the Plus has the built in O-ring inside the top cap so they fit perfect .I think you can get two of them for less then $7 from fastetch...just wish the'd let you pick the color you want . I paid $9 to get my red one which I've not seen any others yet like it that are that solid and dark red without having other colors in it. If you see the seller I bought from on ebay you'll see my drip tip in his stock pictures. I heard that Half Moon "Goon" wide bore tips fit really tight on V1 with no problems. I've had my green one the longest and they may even shrink some from heat as its not as tight as when it was new and I don't take it out no more then I have to. China may not letting them completely cure and/or they could shrink with age. Some epoxy can continue shrinking for a long minute if the formula is not mixed exactly right(not enough hardener used).

Sometimes they do real good work(china made stuff)and sometimes not...I have the resin tip also. I works ok. It looks ok...Glad I could provide a heads up on the top cap.

The only situations where the mod was "temporarily bricked" with a firmware upgrade was with folks doing it with a Mac (I think) and all of those I believe were recoverable. It would be good if you would post your situation on the support forum if want.

The SMY75s arrived. :D

Only opened the Red but it has the worst 510 I've ever experienced.
Even the B/B 133 was "like buttah" right up to the early hard stop.
This though... unbelievably crunchy, and it took me about eight tries just to get one to start threading. I've run several through now (and wiped off plenty of fine metal dust) and hopefully it'll improve some more.

Well, I understand what Daniel was doing with his Profiles (now that I'm aware of the Material selection feature). Of course... the one he doesn't include is 430. :p
But at least he's a fan of changing the mod to "3-Click" vs. five. I love that.

I haven't hooked it up yet but there are going to be some changes.
I need to see what he's done with Pre-heat (if "normal" is none... what're the two below that?) And It appears these will need the battery low/weak firmware update.

:)

Oh and the Crazy Wire order arrived.

It appears they doubled the length on about half of my items. :p

I ordered on a Saturday so I'd expect it went out last Monday. That's not bad.
Hell... without a Royal Mail tracking, it may have been in the box since Saturday. :D

The mod resistance on my SDNA is 0.002Ω (checked it my self), my VT133 is 0.004Ω. I changed almost every thing except case thermals, battery curve and themes. My only complaint on the VT133 is the weak spring of the 510, the SMY is pretty decent tension wise.
I'm not experiencing any problems though with the VT133's 510.

The problem with the DNA75 as I see it is it's only 85% efficient. The other 15% is going to have to be dissipated as heat. Since it's usually going to be in a smaller case, the board is going to run hot. I think you better plan to cap your wattage at no more than 40-50. It's the main reason I haven't got one. To me it's only usefulness is for low wattage vaping in a small one cell mod. The DNA200 is just so much more versatile. 97% vs 85% efficient is huge when you consider the extra heat that board is going to throw off (heat is electronics enemy). YMMV

Cheers,
Steve

I had to look at the enclosed order... mine was from Sat. the 9th but I think it went to the post on Mon. the 11th.

I'd expect yours tomorrow.
Did you include anything exotic, or a particularly large order (mine is only 7 items).
I read on their site that they make items up to order (except for the Claptons etc.) so perhaps something of yours delayed it an extra day.

Or posting the sale on a popular vape forum flooded them with making up pissy little spools when they usually do wholesale orders. :p

What ever will you do with a Blood Red Lava 75? :p

j/k... they really aren't suited to the majority of your vape needs.
But damn... for what they are, they rock.

So far I use the VT75 around 45w which drops rapidly after a 60w preheat.
Damn good batt life for that efficiency it seems, and that case heating stopped early though I don't know if it was the batt firmware update or me getting the mod dialed in.

The SMY is stupid small... a fraction thinner than the VTC in fact.
For you... that's not a good thing. even a 22mm is to the side edge.

I haven't opened the Black yet, but the Red has a very nice non-slip coating.
Not tacky grippy like silicone, and none of the almost chalkboard squick of the VT133's colored covers.

I haven't really used it yet... I'll see soon if I get a case heating issue.

I'm probably going to pass on the Lavabox 75 if it ever comes out. I never say never but I'm just not feeling the 75 if you know what I mean. It's the same way for the Hometech boards. If I'm not feeling it, I usually just pass. Not everything is for everyone. To be totally honest, nothing is really grabbing me right now. I want to get another mod but everything is falling into the category of I like it except for ____ (fill in the blank). I've come close but just can't seem to pull the trigger. Maybe I'm done for awhile, who knows.

Cheers,
Steve

I have one. It's a pretty tough mod. It's flown out of my pocket while getting out of my car skidding 10-15 feet down a cement driveway. The battery separated from the mod. The glass smashed on my Bellus, drip tip was almost in the street. I put the mod back together and it never missed a beat. It's scuffed up but still works as good as the day I got it.

I just don't care for the boxiness of it. Other than that it's been a great mod. It was my main take out everywhere mod before getting the VT133's.

How's the battery life? Worth 20.00 for the extra one?

I also received mine today but it came form a different source and is the Stainless model .No 510 problems.on mine Had family over so I just slapped a battery in it in vaped in Power Mode .If I get time I'll hook up to escribe and see what all its about. Fan of the 3 -click feature also. This will be my Stealth/Church mod and probably not used to often .I do like it as it fits in my front pocket with the Tornado Nano with no problems. Been a long time since I owned a single 18650 device but did buy both a D2 and D3 to give as gifts and thought they were really decent "first mods" for the price I paid from Ecig . Speaking of my Nano My Freedom Smokes finally got the Tornado Nano Chuff Caps in black for $2.95 after a month of me searching for one if anyone is looking for them .

Since putting a Clapton in it and going in a different direction with the wicking it's gotten better. I still prefer the Supreme but it's usable now in a pinch :giggle::devil:. I ordered a Limitless Plus today to see how that is. I'd also like to try the new Supreme Lite but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Maybe I'll be feeling it tomorrow lmao

Wasn't there some sort of problem wth this mod? I thought I read somewhere on this thread that it needed a seperate chrger or battery that ecig.com was out of stock on.

Not sure? They have the chargers and spare batteries in stock. Looks like a great beater dna 200!

Steve...here is Tom's take on the 75 watt DNA he has been working on since the chip can to fruition.

https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/f...tty-mods-chapter-3.733995/page-155#navigation

HB6 batteries at 50 watts are dead in 50 minutes.

I use to get about a half a day. Using claptons it would be less (maybe a 1/4 of a day).. It comes with a 3s 900mah lipo. That's about equal to one LG HG2.. I mainly used it with the 2 x 18650 battery compartment but that really made it wide (brick like). The VT133's retired it.

I'm waiting on my Supreme. All because of you bud. Can't wait to try it. I just got my Limitless back up and running. I replaced the melted chuff cap with a metal one so its a quasi plus now. Lol. The only bad part about the fix is I lost the air flow control but its no biggie because I ran it wide open anyway. Going to have to pick up a few Limitless Plus attys. Maybe do a little matchy matchy with all my Vt133 covers.

Yup I really haven't looked at the O rings on it yet . That might be the problem . I have been trying to find the right build and wick for the supreme . Trying to find the sweet spot . Took a break from that today and decided hey let's try to install some pre sets on my VT133 . And we all know how that worked out for me ....lmao

It charges just like any other 3s Lipo DNA200, just plug it into a USB wall wart. The extra charger is for if you want to have spare batteries.

I've heard other people have had seepage problems. I know some of the bases were faulty. Mine just started showing very slight condensation every once in a while.
