i thought I saw somewhere in the evolv forum - a Kanthal TFR curve that was just high enough to be programmed in to preheat Kanthal with a dna .
sumabitch I cant find that thing anywhere.
Keep in mind that the accuracy of the temp is way off but the preheat works like a charm.
I did this first with my SDNA75 and 200's after that, for some reason I can't get it to work on the 75 again.

Have your tried the clone ?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I have tried a clone, not sure if that was the clone.
but the sxk clone is so close to the authentic that ya gotta mark them to know the difference.

and on the test - initially the Kanthal preheat works like a champ
set it to 500 degrees and its just killer

the 430 so far so good... i still like the 316 better, but will give it a ffew days to be sure

I spoke to Chris at Nude Nic after reading that and he said you only needed a MFG License if you were going to be selling it. He said if you were just buying it for yourself it was still alright. I told him I was prepared to buy another liter and he said he'd take my money but suggested I wait. He said we will have 2 years after the 8-8. He knew I already had about 1.5 liters on hand on 100mg/ml. Obviously if he thought it was going to be a problem he would have took my money and made a sale. That all being said I'm still nervous about all the crap that's happening. The PA stuff was the last straw. I know the FDA stuff says 2 years but who knows what the states are going to do. I'm really getting sick of this stuff!

Cheers,
Steve
Nude Nicotine are good folks.....regardless of whether they sell after 8-8 I still bought another 400 bucks worth of supplies....everything from nic base to flavor concentrates premixed juice and VG.

Something about their VG I really like. I can't vape anything but their 100% VG juice.....phantastic juice made either there or at my house.

I have a very leaky RDA and the other day juice leaked out into my VT133's screen and charge port while it was charging. It started having "Check Battery" issues and when charging it read the battery voltage as ~4.37V each even though they were about 4.12V. The battery icon was filled to the right amount though. I wiped some juice out of the port and then it read 4.00V for one battery and 2.63V for the other. I left it overnight to dry and this morning it was showing 4.14V for each battery (they were really around 4.15 and 4.16V) but the one that had read 4.00V the night before fluctuated a bit before settling at 4.14. When I take out the batteries while it's plugged in the voltmeter reads something like .93 and 2.36V even though no batteries are attached. Should I be concerned?

I just plugged mine into Escribe with no batteries and both my cells read 0v. I would take the batteries out and clean the 510 connector , USB Port, and battery contacts at the very least with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. If you have any I would use contact cleaner. Make sure all the juice has thoroughly dried before re-inserting the batteries. Short of taking apart to check the board that's the best I can come up with.

Cheers,
Steve

No, not now. Before drying out, yes! It sounds like it is now working normally to me.

I got back home and it showed 0V without batteries. Everything was working fine for an hour or so but then I got the "Check Battery" error again. I plugged it in and it's reading the batteries as ~4.37V each and says it's at 97%. My Nitecore charger is reading them at 4.12V. Any way I can fix this?

It's still reading 0V without batteries

Did you try what I posted a couple of post up? It may be that the board is still a little wet with ejuice but I would definitely try cleaning the battery contacts in the mod, 510 connection, and USB Port with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol (not dripping wet)

No, unfortunately I don't have rubbing alcohol handy on me right this moment but I'll go buy some soon

On one of mine the juice got between the balance connector that's on the board and the board. Computer duster spray comes in quite handy. Just don't freeze the board with liquid from the can or blow any components off. The stuff is usually flammable as well.

@lemonpotty 1 cent advice if you can leave your device out in hot sunlight at least 4 to 6 hours (as I did with mine in the past) the mother nature will take care of it (in my case juice was perfectly dried )

I took it apart and wiped everything with rubbing alcohol. Still getting the check battery error and while it does read 0V without batteries it still reads ~4.3V when they're inside.

Edit: I was able to go through my profiles by wiggling the microusb around a little while it was plugged in so I think there's something wrong with my board. It also shuts down when I hold the up and down buttons together (it's in power lock mode right now and I can't change it because everytime I try the device shuts down).

@lemonpotty: With the check battery error popping up, the DNA200 can turn itself off. So I am not surprised it does with some key presses. Here are the Device Monitor readings with 3 of 5 of my VT133. I unplugged the USB each time for each battery removal and insertion. Otherwise I got different readings than the below.

HCigar VT133_02
Cell 1 Only = 0.00v (actual 4.00v)
Cell 2 Only = 2.86v (actual 4.00v)
No Cells = All read 0.00v

HCigar VT133_03
Cell 1 Only = 0.00v (actual 4.10v)
Cell 2 Only = 0.00v (actual 4.10v)
No Cells = All read 0.00v

HCigar VT133_04
Cell 1 Only = 0.00v (actual 3.92v)
Cell 2 Only = 3.31v (actual 3.92v)
No Cells = All read 0.00v

The above will always read cell 3 as 0.01v. My other two are early serial numbers and they will read cell 3 anywhere between 0.50v to 1.50v.

Added: This is 5 of 5

HCigar VT133_05
Cell 1 Only = 0.00v (actual 4.17v)
Cell 2 Only = 0.00v (actual 4.17v)
No Cells = All read 0.00v

Here is the reading from one that got fried after doing a hard reset. So the readings isn't typical. But maybe I should throw it out there anyway. If you try to use it, it will error with an imbalance error and refuse to fire.

HCigar VT133_01 (Fried after hard reset)
Both cells = 1 - 0.01v, 2 - 5.16v 3 - 0.50 to 1.50v
Pack = 5.18v
Cell 1 Only = 0.01v (actual 4.15v) Cell 2 - 2.78v (actual 0.00v)
Cell 2 Only = 3.02v (actual 4.15v) Cell 1 - 0.00v (actual 0.00v)
No Cells = All read 0.00v except cell 2 reads 3.02v

I contacted Evolv back on June 2nd and I am still waiting to hear from them about it. If I don't hear anything, I'll just buy another DNA200 board or use this one for spare parts.

Okay i am going to eat a little crow here. The other night i made the 25ss coils and posted the pics and graphs. This morning i grabbed my 2-VT133 as always, one had the 25g SS coils that i posted the other night night and the other one has my NiFe52 coils installed. After using them all day, i came home and built identical coils with my year old order of 25ss. While the 25g is thicker and needs more power of course, I do now feel the quality of wire is not on par from the wire i ordered before in Temp Control. The DNA will compensate and make it work. I have also been contacted by a couple of other members, saying something was off with their 25g SS wire.
Monday i will be contacting them and see what they say about the 25g. I haven't tested the 27g ss that i purchased so i can't comment on that wire. I apologize to any member, I recommend the 25g wire too. My previous purchase of this wire was spot on and surely wouldn't recommend anything i has not used before and have tested myself.

It's not your fault that they seemed to have either changed suppliers or have an off batch. It takes a big man to write that post. I in no way blame you for the wire I got from them my friend. No one made me order anything. I'm a big boy and I own the decisions I make. Still I appreciate the post.

Heck I recommended the VT133 and Supreme to a lot of people. If all the sudden Ecig or FT got a bad batch I would feel bad but in the end I can only relay the experiences I have with mine. You can only control so much!

Cheers,
Steve

I am going to try my best to get a refund from them and i hope everybody that received the bad batch do the same:mad: My ss wire only had a off taste to it..The graph line was pretty strait in TC. The only way i knew something had changed, was having all my other wire from last year!

The stuff I received today doesn't have a straight line and has an off taste. I knew something wasn't right with mine as soon as I took the first puff because it is limiting out almost as soon as I push the power button. It seems like something is off in the formulation of the wire I received. I have to raise my TCR from .00138 (SS430) to around .00175 to approximate the vape I'm getting from the Unkamen SS430 wire. Even then the taste is off. On top of that from all the testing I've done, I feel like I drank a bottle of Nic :drunk:. If my post seems off, that's why.

Cheers,
Steve

Dang, I just got a batch of the 25awg SS430 last week but haven't had a chance to try it yet. I am guessing this will be from the batch people are having problems with? I also got some 23awg SS430 as well...hmmmm

When you try it let me/us know if you are having the same experience. I'm at a loss.

Edit Don't feel to bad. I bought 24, 25, 27, and two rolls of 31ga. I was planning on making Claptons.

Loved the supreme so much that I just ordered the supreme light. I was gonna get another supreme but decided to go with the lite because I can make it a stubby 3ml or a longer 5ml. Who know maybe I'll order another full size supreme too in the future. I fell in love with these supremes. Thanks for the recommendation @Wingsfan0310

I hate to report this before I order, but I just got an email from eciggity and they have 20% off all rdtas. About $27 for a supreme mini. Hard to beat.

(Edit) Code RTA20. Let's sell them out of supremes like we did with ecig and the 133 :D

Will do, but I think it's gonna be the same performance as the big brother just a smaller package. Either way I'll let you all know.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have ordered from them instead of ft. But ft has them for 32 bucks and free shipping. Eccigity with that coupon code would be a dollar more with shipping. Just would get here quicker. I'm gonna look around eccigity. Might order another, who knows.

Only a buck more to have it in a week as opposed to a month. I'd cancel the FT order and order from Eciggity. But that's just me...I did order another Boreas, love those tanks. 20 bucks, hell yea.

I would do that but I ordered it from ft yesterday and they already shipped it out. Or I would have..

Just noticed this....The 14.3mm build deck vs 16.5mm on the 7ml & 4ml Supreme. No more Lite for me:(
I've been going back and forth on that as well. Part of me thinks it's a Supreme it will be good. Part of me wonders if they didn't have to make compromises in order to meet the EU regs (2ml tanks). I have one in my cart but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm trying to decide if I want to order more full size Supremes (Which I know I like). Or if I want a smaller one to order the 4ml full sized Supreme (it will taste the same or better but I will be filling it like a mofo). Decisions, Decisions. What do you guys think?

For the supreme? You got me thinking, I have several of both and never noticed a difference. So I just went and checked. The build decks are identical and interchangeable. I even measured and they are the same.

The 7ml and 4ml are the same build deck, the only difference is shorter glass and chimney.. The lite's build deck is smaller but ~2mm.

Edit @SmilinVapor Do you notice any flavor difference between the 4ml and 7ml Supremes?

So the Lite is different from the 4 ml? I thought people were just referring to the 4 ml as the light.

I don't notice any real difference. But in fairness the 4 mls are on DNA 75s and the others are on 200s. Plus they all have different juices. But given that I find the flavor and cloud production equal.

BTW. Interested to know what you find out about the wire. Also got mine yesterday along with some 24G.

Yes they are different. The Lite is a 23mm Supreme that comes with a 2ml tank to meet the EU regs and a 5ml extension tank but with a 14.2mm build deck.

The 4 and 7ml Supreme are 25mm tanks with a 16.5mm build deck.
