Hey folks just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes and thoughts. Means the world to me. "Vacation" ends tomorrow so wish me luck. Glow good luck with your bugs. DogMan look like your night out was a blast. Everyone else thanks for the words of wisdom. I've learned a lot more about myself and am wiser for it.

Good morning, Knucks!!!

We are at the river and the heat the last two days has been ridiculous. 97 degrees yesterday with a real feel of 115. We decided to stay in the air conditioning and then left about 1:00 for some shopping and dinner. Got back around 8:30 and it did cool off quite a bit.

Today is to be more of the same and someone just came around saying the water will be turned off until at least 2 due to a water leak down the road. Fun, fun, fun!

Glow....I hope you put a dent in all that cleaning that you have to do. It sounds grueling. You also have to be weary with your back.

Off to get more coffee and make breakfast with no water......Grrrrrrrr

Mother nature is not cooperating with you this year. Too hot for fun? Just not fair! I think I would be in the lake with the umbrella hat on my head all day long!

Thanks for the kind thoughts. It's coming along. It's a good time to tear the bed apart and repair a few little things in the frame. At least, this is what Stan seems to think. He is about to be on his own in this endeavor as my back is NOT taking kindly to all of this. We have an old water bed frame (one of my very first adult purchases after college!) and it is HUGE for our small bedroom. No room to turn around. LOL. I set it up myself everytime I moved but I was much younger then! Such fun. Marital bonding at its best!

We grow a lot of corn here in the US.
Don't get the wrong impression about Ohio though. I doubt it ranks up there with other corn producing states.

Good morning!
Sorry, ive been a passive knuckle.
I don't know actual numbers... But I know on any given 30 mile drive you WILL see a corn field unless you're directly in Cleveland or Columbus

I will never go to IOWA... never....
they have a fisher controls in Marshalltown IA, I had a few chances to go there..... not ever going to happen.

Self deprivation......
Iowa is a very cool state.
Yeah.....lots of corn and beans during growing season....and your welcome for feeding you and many others. But a very cool place with lots of other things going on.
It could be worse....it could be Nebraska!!!!!!!!!

After driving through KS or NE, IA offers a plethora of diversion for your viewing/driving pleasure! LOL.

I love driving I70 going west of Denver through CO and UT. The scenery is beautiful even if the hills and snow can be stressful. Good for me since many of our drivers do not like this route. I cut my truck driving teeth on this route so it's just another work day for me. I also love LA, KY, TN and the southern states. Looking forward to getting a load into FL. I have never been there.

ive never seen snow stuck to the ground. ive driven in ice and sleet but snow.... I'm a snow virgin

My first TX ice storm had me white knuckling! I will drive on snow, albeit more slowly, but ice is just...well....it's ICE! How can one have traction on ice?
Here is a shot of one poor driver "hanging iron" or throwing chains on the side of the road.

Good morning!

Not going to reach the 90°'s today, for the first time in a couple weeks.

It's still too damn humid though. Pop up thunderstorms every day are keeping it soupy.
