One day this hobby will bankrupt me. Just ordered the black 40mm, will let you guys know how it does for me. I see a spot on one of my new 300-350W regulated mods for this tank.
Opted out of the 30mm due to the reported issues, but from as far as I can tell from looking no 40mm versions have this issue so I'm still hyped. I have the Modfather and Aromamizer Plus already so 40mm actually sounds nice to me since 24-25mm and 30mm RTA's/RDTA's have been the norm for me for SO long. I like build space and capacity, the 40mm has both and doesn't leak so it's potentially the perfect tank for me. We shall see, fingers crossed.

I don't know why but I used cotton bacon on both 30mm and the 40mm and no leaks. I think it's a conspiracy. Haha! The 40mm is fat I mean wow fat haha! The air flow is crazy.

AFAIK the 40mm doesn't have the same problem as the 30mm.
I used cotton bacon a few times on my 30mm as well. It will work the question for me was always for how long. I think the longest time I got my 30mm to go without leaking was maybe a week. Then the top cap would become loose from refilling and flood city the next day.
The most aggravating vape device I have ever owned and I own a LOT of stuff.

Okay, so I've only had this thing a little while but so far I really do love it. The only bitching I can do is when I first opened it up one of the post screws was fucked and spun freely, it was a bitch to get out. Though once I did, no issues. No leaking, no issues building or filling, nothing.
I will say though, the nicotine in my juice is FUCKING me up, 3mg is too much. I'm coughing every hit, but I cannot stop.

Reporting back in, I can confirm, though it is only my first build so I could've just fucked it up, that there's some VCMT-esque leaking around the airflow ring that causes a small amount of juice to build up over a few hours right under where the tank sits on your mod, remaining invisible until you unthread the device. It's nothing major, probably, 1ml every 12 hours or so, I dealt with this on my 30mm VCMT the entire time I owned it and it was one of my favorite tanks so I don't see it stopping me even if I can't get the leak to stop. The leaking is NOTHING on par with what people here were saying the 30mm was doing though, it's barely anything and takes hours.
Though, I LOVE this thing. It's clearly only made for a niche group of people and most people will scoff at the sight of such a silly tank, but it's just FUN to use and it's well made. I recommend it to any builder who likes more novelty items such as this or the original 40mm Mason RDA.

Reporting back in a FINAL time, I fixed the leaking by realizing me blowing into the tank before every hit to clear it along with me fidgeting with the AFC ring all the time caused juice to be slowly pushed out from the gap over a few hours. When I stopped doing these things, the mod has been dry under the tank after removal ever since. I LOVE this thing more than anything and its the pinnacle of everything I love about vaping. Its for people who like huge builds, tons of airflow and high wattage. I plan on ordering the 41mm Modfather RTA when it comes in stock but I already know I won't like it as much due to it having a smaller deck with different style posts, having less airflow, less convenient filling and being a bit ugly in my opinion. Though I'm sure it'll be a CLOSE second favorite to the DT and have a better build quality, I just cannot see it or ANYTHING beating this tank for me.
It's a shame the 30mm has so many issues, but if the DT only came in 30mm I probably would've never bought it, the 40mm size, huge capacity, gorgeous looks and massive amount of airflow along with the titantic sized deck were what drew me in, the 30mm wasn't even something I considered ordering before I read about all the leaking issues.

They cloned the 30mm and I think the 40mm too, so for all the 30mm owners with leaking issues, try the clone out and see if it is any better. Or mix and match clone and authentic parts and see if that fixes it.
