Besides hurting
Too damn cold for my taste. o_O I really need some warm sunshine, but I have a feeling I will be stuck here in the frozen north until the end of days...
Oh well, life's a beach... so surf, dude.

I remember my first Christmas day in Tucson. 75 degrees and was swimming in an outside pool. Here? I think we made it up to 26 or something like that.

Your dog any better this evening, Rich?
Yes. We have radically changed her diet and have her on a few pills (which I don't really agree with, but vet says she should have - Zipper hates pills) and she seems more responsive to us (perhaps less stomach ache) and a bit more active than the past week. Gotta take her in for another blood test next week and have a major discussion about where we go from here.

That's good to hear. Your luck usually runs in the other direction.

Well, it is one thing for me to talk about bad luck, but in reality, I do not even believe in luck, good or bad. Things happen when they are supposed to, according to the preconceived plan that you have wrapped around yourself, and you can either take them in stride, or bitch about them. Lately, I have done too much bitching, which just means I have not been doing a good enough job of setting my own Field of Intentions.

That actually does work, just have to put the mind to it....which can be challenging at times

Similar things happen to me VERY frequently. At times I wish the phone would stop ringing, I want a couple days off. Then when I have a couple days off, and wish the phone would ring, it does.

Yes, and I do realize I have been focusing too much on my various pains, which just reinforces the Universe's belief that this is what I want, so I am granted more of it. I need to clear my head of the negativity and create a path to success in whatever the endeavor of the week happens to be. To quote some little swamp creature, "Do, or do not. There is no 'try.' " Time for me to get off my tired old ass and DO!

Carnegie course?............:teehee:
Do they do courses in positive mental attitude? Oh, you're talking about Dale Carnagie's book? Naw, once upon a time I used to teach this stuff. Just stubbed my toes a few too many times and forgot which direction I was supposed to be going in.

There is a shitload of info on the interweb regarding thyroid problems in dogs, but we don't really know if that's the problem....correct?

How was your Christmas Dale
and yours Rich
If you can find a holiday marked on a calendar, we ignore it. :D Those are just another day like any other day (except no mail). The critters still need to be fed and all the other chores need to be done, so one day is the same as any other. We occasionally put a little focus on the equinoxes and solstices (one might call those pagan holidays if you're into that), but we typically do not refer to any specific day as a holiday. I occasionally send a card to those who I know expect it (usually religious friends), otherwise I tend to treat holidays with as much humor as I can. We also tend to ignore our own birthdays and anniversaries, though we might make a special dinner or something, but we never buy gifts for anyone. I figure if you need something, you should get it when you need it, not wait for some specific calendar date.
