I've tried most of them by now and none were waxy. I think I used 3% on all of them. Some I thought I could've used more flavoring.
Maybe it was an off day for me. I will try the watermelon again at some point. I do agree with you that the flavor was quite mild also. I didn't get much flavor at all from it. Well, at least some of the others are a hit! I know of no flavoring company that does ALL of them well.

Just placed an order at BCF for 30 new flavor's plus a restock of 8 oz's of Cap Vanilla Custard. Thanks @Roundhouse for the code! Also placed an order at Chef's Flavor's for the FA Custard Premium. All they carry is 10 mil bottles, so I ordered 10 of them. Pricy for a 10 mil bottle. I hope that it is worth it.

What was the code? Is it in the “sticky” DIY thread?

I actually just got it and haven't tried it yet. Might not, now that you've told me this.
No, dont let me put you off. I love stuff others hate, visa versa. Youll probably try it and love what it does. It does what it says in my opinion and makes things jammy, your jelly I guess. But some tastes as much as I like eating them I cant stand vaping. I love jam on toast but cant stand vaping it, love musk sticks candy and skittles but find vaping either sickening. Others love em though. You might find its your light globe ingredient in mixing and love it. :)

I think I'm known around here for my odd taste buds. So you're right, I should at least try it. I'll start low and see what happens.

The reason I decided to include it in that recipe is that I was hoping it would help lend a sense of separation of the fruit flavors from the dairy. That may be too ambitious, but we'll just see. :)

For the Monday Mix pic:

Ogre

Apple (Green, Natural) (FW) 2%
Cranberry (CAP) 2%
Golden Syrup (VTA) 1%
Kiwi (Purilum) 1.5%
Lemon Mix WG (INAWERA) 1%
Orange (FE) 3%
Super Sweet (CAP) 0.5%
Two Apples (DIY) 2%

Total flavors 13%

My experience with Kiwi flavors hasn't been good. That's why the percent of kiwi in this recipe is so low. I figured I'd try a small amount and then work up if I think it's gonna be ok.
Makes me think of the movie Shrek. Arrrrrr I'm an ogre

I actually tried one with Chocolate donut! No, just, no! :giggle:
Good luck with them. Still be interested to hear how you perceive it made things taste.

I really wish BCV would get the MB lemon tart back in stock lol. I'm itching to make Wildgypsy's version of the DLLT
I wish it was more “on”. It’s not perfect, by any means. The lemon isn’t as bright as I’d like. Booooooo. I’m sure someone here can jazz it up and make it better.

So the chemnovatic grape is a touchy one. Never did get a waxy feel but I followed a recipe from a review for the flavor on bcf. Well that was a bust. Tasted good at first but no all I taste is Jerry curl. Literally. Mixed at 6% so will drop this in half for sure and see what's next. Still wanna go for the pixie stick. I guess I'll nut up and sft this one. Lol.

It started tasting like chemicals or alcohol? Amber mixes Pixie Stick, I think @Jimi gave her the recipe and flavors at Christmas.

How’s your carving coming along? I still love the vaping gnome/elf I’ve got. :cute:

What are some good flavors to get at Chefs, though? They’ve got so many flavors, it’s off putting.
They do have a ton of flavors and one shots! The one flavor that I would get, since you seem to like custard, is FA Custard Premium. Still my very favorite of all the custards out there.

Since you aren't mixing recipes much yet, why not just pick a few recipes you really want to mix, and then get any flavors you can't find in the US for those recipes from Chef's? Most things you can get stateside. I was mixing for nearly two years before I placed an order with Chef's. Truthfully, I only placed that order so I could get Custard Premium, and now I really don't use it much - it's just too heavy for me. I am not the biggest custard fan anyway, but thought I'd try it. I much prefer TFA's Vanilla Custard 2.

Wise words. I also was mixing for a while before I started buying from Chefs. At this point, BCF has almost everything I need(Since they finally got VT Desiccated Coconut).....except Custard Premium. It’s definitely a heavier custard. Less oily than Caps. Less heavy vanilla than Caps. Thick and lovely. I do enjoy the TFA VCII very much......hasn’t toppled my love affair with CP.:)

Everytime I order flavor's, for some stupid reason on my part, I always end up with flavor's that I already have and that I don't need to refill. I have a container full of flavor's. Need to pay closer attention in the future.

Yeah, I too put in an order with Chefs a couple days ago, and Custard Premium was the main reason for me too...only to see that they were out of it right now. Made me sad, it did. Had to console myself with a couple of custard one shots and some Wreka Mango. I want to try that Premium, dang it!

Happens to all of us I think. I even keep a spreadsheet of all of my flavors, plus I have them all in ELR. And yet, I still once in a while order something I already have that didn't need refilling.

Thanks, Gypsy. I wonder if they’ll have another sale before Christmas! :giggle: I’ve heard a lot of good stuff on this thread about Custard Premium. <3

Maybe I’ll try Vanilla Custard 2. I like Wayne’s Kings Custard but I add to it. And unfortunately I forgot to get Vanilla Swirl in my last two flavor orders!! I need it to sweeten my Creme de Menthe Kings Custard mix. I also didn’t add Black Honey Tob this mix, and it wasn’t as dense as I like it. Thanks, Nada. I’m prolly not ready for recipes yet, but I’m experimenting a bit by trying different things with what I’ve got. I’m sure people are sick of hearing about my same mix 5,000 times!!

I don't feel so bad knowing that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I made a tester for Flavourarts new Blueberry Ripe (is it?). Before vaping it, I tasted a drop of the mixed juice on the back of my hand and wow. That's gotta be the most authentic blueberry flavor I've tasted to date. Vaping it, I think it needs to be sweetened up a bit but it's a very good blueberry flavor IMO. It's not hard for me to forget what actual blueberries taste like. I only eat them a few times in the summer. This flavor tastes a lot like I remember though. Haven't had any yet this year :D.

It’s soooo gooood! I usually pair it with VSO blueberry or FW to give it that sweet thing. But a shot of straight sweetener would probably do it, too. Super realistic. The new FA Blueberry Candy is pretty damn good, too.

I run out of my cap banana today, was just going to order more, but thought I would see if anyone had other banana's they really liked, I like the more realistic banana flavor, anyone better than cap banana?

You need VT Banana Custard and WF Banana Puree! There's not really any custard in the VT one. It's a great banana flavor though. WF puree is a bit softer but realistic banana IMO. I tried Caps Banana and got a weird taste that made me think of the color green. If was quite off putting. It could've been bad or maybe I just used too much. I haven't tried it since.
