DING DING DING!!! We have a winner boys n girls!
The Zeus X mesh deck is beyond awesome. I used one of their .22 ohm Ka1 strips.

Took one of their monstrously oversized shoelace cotton wicks and peeled it all around like a banana leaving maybe a third of it in the middle. Pulled the outside "peels" down and around the shoelace thing and cut the middle out as close as I could to the plastic shoelace thing. Then replaced the removed cotton with rayon and put the cotton peels back surrounding the rayon so I was left with a shoelace wick consisting of a rayon core and a cotton shell.

Fed it through like usual and you can feel where the rayon core is inside the cotton. Got it even on both sides cut the rayon and cotton together long enough so that the whole wick would easily reach the bottom of those huge ports. Combed out the ends a bit and re-snipped them to the original length.

Started underneath and fed the wicking in there a little at a time until the ports were fully packed. Pretty tight (remember the standard deck?), but not so tight that I couldn't get my pick in there fairly easily. Teased it around a little to make sure it was even and all the way across the ports.

Primed it real good which with all mesh builds always means tons of juice compared to regular wire. Put it all back together and filled it up about halfway. This deck feeds from the bottom. I think that's the big difference.

Absolutely stunning flavor at 60 watts. Without a hint of gurgling and no dry hits in sight on the very first try. Lemon Twist Pink Punch Lemonade. I have never tasted this juice like this. Almost makes me pucker with the lemony-ness :D

No. It's designed specifically for the Zeus X. They do sell a whole Zeus X mesh tank though which is just the Zeus X with the mesh deck. I already had a Zeus X and they also sell just the deck in the exact same colors as the original tank.

I have one and love it. Mine has the carbon fibre with the pearl fish and another side panel colour which I forgot (it's still in the box).

Are the side panels replaceable on the one you have?

Thanks. It so hard to tell. I don't think mine is near as "gold" as you brass, but does have a goldish tint. Looks like your silver does too though? Would you say your silver has a bit of golden tint?
Yes, I agree with you. The silver (Tibetan Silver) does have a slight gold tint to it.

Is anybody else not getting email notifications for the threads they are watching? I have two threads (this one, and Your Vape Today) that I watch, and normally get email notifications for. The last few days, I am no longer getting the email notifications. :(

Happens to me all the time. Emails come and go. Even the little notification box here comes and goes. Lots of people have been complaining about it. Sucks :(

I have watched, then unwatched, and then watched these threads again to no avail. I cannot get them to sent me email notifications. Posting in them doesn't even activate the notifications. wtfsign.gif

VU is moving, expect a bumpy ride...

That may not be verbatim but close enough

I had a few issues with the apps and the recent change VU made a few days ago... it logged me out of the apps on two devices, when I logged back in, I could view but not respond, it worked itself out, but only after I emailed Tapatalk about VU migrating elsewhere, guess the read ability of Tapatalk had to update... really don’t know.

Man I really like you but I'm glad we're not close friends. You'd have me spending all my money. Lol. Vaping, knives. Lol. Those are very nice knives.

Yeah, CRKs are expensive, but they are life time knives; buy once.

Man that's sweet. I dont do really expensive knives because they all turn out messed up after using them. Have burrs and think"how the hell did that happen. Pulled out if my pocket by the Truckseat and hit the ground. I'm definitely a lot more careful with my vapes. Lol

That’s the thing about knives... they are tools to cut, this guys loves tools.

That Vetrov slip joint will be the only expensive knife purchase I will make at retail... still less than my CRKs, but not cheap.

Steel on knives make a difference for their use... my CRKs are S35VN, probably one of the best all around steels... easy to sharpen, good edge retention, strong.

That slip joint is M390... a better steel, but not as strong, but it will stay sharp a lot longer, hold its edge a lot longer, but lateral strength not as strong.

This is where many view knives differently than I do.

I don’t use my knives to pry, there are tools that excel at that and guess what, they aren’t called knives

It’s like your wood knives... your wood specific knives and 1/10th the price of my CRKs will hands down do better.

Plus that slippy will be my dress knife.

CRKs you can send back in to have them cleaned, tuned, sharpened and the titanium reblasted to where when you get it back... will look exactly as one brand new and cost nothing but shipping.

Lifetime warranty.
