I got a Vandy Vape Mato today. I leap frogged a bunch of atomizers I've been meaning to try. The coils it can take are only one way, under/over. I remembered I have a bunch of Wotofo aliens coils wrapped that way. I stretched one out to 4mm ID and threw it in there.

The airflow is so smooth. Flavor is good but not great. I'll have to try one of my own coils and mess with position and diameter. It's a pretty nice RDTA though. Never had a single coil one.

I couldn't get my Asgard Mini going good until today. I was cutting the legs wrong and maybe placing the coils in the wrong way.. I dunno. Oh, and the first time I got wicked hot spit back.

Today I just used some Wotofo wire off of a roll. It's N80 2x26/36ga fused clapton. I cut the legs at 6mm and moved my coils away from the airflow insert a bit.
20201001_151832(1).jpg

It vapes pretty awesome at 75W. It's really flavorful and warm. I kind of have to take short drags because it's kickin tons of vapor. At least now I see what all the buzz is about.

Now if only I can get my RDA Turd to stop spitting hot specs of juice all up in my mouth. That's what Im going to revisit next. So far it's been very unpleasant to me.

Made some vapemail for a few awesome people. One going to Australia. Damn the cost of that one. Lol. And boxed up another package to go out tomorrow. Haven't vaped today. Kinda on and off but I like vaping better than not, that's for sure. Guess I'll go for a price drop on my last item for sale. Until tomorrow. Lol

Violent spitback is pretty common with 26g cores for this type of coil build. IMO try 28/36 SFCs instead... they're actually easier to make than regular fused claptons if you know how to force them to be easy, they don't give any painful hot spitback primarily due to the 28g cores being relatively thin unlike 26g, the thinner cores also make them ramp up faster as well as cool down faster, and, during every hit they keep sucking juice out of the cotton wicks faster because the numerous tiny cavities that characterise this particular coil type make a real big difference in this regard so as a result you'll get noticeably better flavor with slower gunking as another bonus.

Atomizers on top mods on bottom. Not as much as you'd think but still have a bunch in use too. Wife said hoarding. Then she looked at all her dvds we don't watch. Lol

I've been buying Ozark Trail fishing organizers at Wal-Mart. I'm trying to get organized too. I take things out of boxes, and put them in plastic organizers. Those get zipped up in cases (with lots of zippers and pockets. My goal was to get rid of all the boxes that take up room. It's been a chore and a half.

I got one big one and two little ones so far. The big one looks like this and holds 5 big tray style organizers-
54da9b65-44b9-4540-ae69-687722ea6cf2.c3abb84e3bb59a2853eb6c57418b826d.png

I've been putting mods in that one. It's heavy AF now.

The two little ones are for atomizers. They look like this and hold 5 mini trays-
f7dc8d1e-a042-4163-934c-c9d9e65c18a6_2.8f722fce462b307c3208007d7f339b9f.png

They're really space savers and help me keep A LOT of stuff in one place. My stuff is out of hand. I cleared out two bins full of crap though and put the stuff in those cases.

The Wal-Mart I go to is out of the big ones, and only have a couple of the littlest ones left after today. I might go back and buy them before they're gone. I checked out other brands and they're not as good as the Ozark Trail ones. Next year they'll probably have new models.

Last night I found my oldest Hussar RTA, the one I got from Chef, and spent an hour with hot water, alcohol, and pliers, trying to rehabilitate the thing. Apparently I did ok. It's clean, didn't leak all over creation during the night, and vapes pretty darn good!

I put it on my Sigelei Evaya, since that's only a 66W mod, and since my (single) coil in the Hussar is a 0.48 ohm, it only needs about 25 watts. It's a nice combo, kinda old school a little bit, but really nice flavor and a decent amount of vapor. I'm really happy with it.

What I'm NOT looking forward to (and the main reason I stopped using the Hussar in the first place) is that it is built like a brick shithouse and you have to have tools to refill the thing. The parts fit together so tight that I can't get the cap off with my hands; have to use one of those tank wrenches with the ceramic tweezers on the ends. It also has juice control that's activated by turning the tank, which requires the grip of Paul Bunyan to budge.

I did douse everything with e-liquid when I was putting it together last night, so hoping that will help some.

This is the style of the one I worked on, but mine has the whitish tank instead of the ultem color:

And this is a stock photo of the Evaya:

He is also proudly stubborn, and is returning it to me unopened.

So, now I have a brand new dicodes dani box v2. Which, being primarily a squonker, I have 0 use for

Anyone like purple? Dream of having a dicodes?

I'll work something out to do with it. Maybe add a prize to the 5 word game?

Got a couple sets of molicel p26a's off 18650batterystore. They're running a sale through 10-10-2020 I believe, 30% off so they were like $3.50/ea. Hard to resist at that price. My current batteries are alright, for years I've stuck with either samsung 30q's or sony vtc6's. Almost never vape above 80w. My most recent build I find myself running 85-90w and with my current batteries being used for awhile now they seem to struggle. Ordered them yesterday and after a couple hours got a notice they shipped. Never bought through 18650bs so will see how they do in terms of shipping speed, packaging etc. I hear pretty good things about them.

Edit: Should also mention they've got other batteries on sale. Including the molicel p42a 21700's. In case anyone's needing the other kind of vape juice.

Ordered a 30mm Cloud Chasers RDA for the Vapergate 99 and a 30mm ArmageddonMFG Redemption 3.0 RDA for the Asmodus Fat Snowwolf. Would have ordered a copper Asgard for the Cartel Boss, but I am dead broke now...and they were also out of stock.

Compared to the P26A, even if they haven't been used for a while the 30Q and the VTC6 give less, not more, vaping time in a dual battery regulated mod being used at just 60W. At 80-95W, in most dual battery regulated mods even the VTC5A gives pretty much the same vaping time as the 30Q or the VTC6 despite I have been burned at the stake on numerous occasions over the past three years for the fact a lot of people hated the truth.

I felt like making some alien wire or coils today. It took me an hour and a half but I wasn't racing. I made 4 shots of SS316L alien wire (3x28/38) about a foot long each. I'll probably get 10 to 12 good alien coils. Not sure how slow I am vs some of the more experienced coil makers. I never thought to time myself until today. I was watching a movie the whole time ? .

Stainless steel is my favorite to work with. Everything seems to go smooth when I'm making SS coils. I had zero mess ups while wrapping them. I tried to get close up photos but it doesn't work that well.

I make 2 10” runs in about 20 or so mins while listening to music at my desk.

I cut the 6 cores with 1 being much longer than the other 5 and spin both wraps.

Then set the first run, stretch...spin. Rinse and repeat.

Good enough for 4 coils...

I did at one time spend a hour just doing wrap and putting them in an envelope. I might do that again soon... just spin the clapton part and bank wraps

But doesn’t matter if you take an hour+ or less than 30... I find it rather relaxing

I like the 18650bs for several reasons. Orders have always been correct, batteries seem authentic, shipping is cheaper, and deliveries are faster, in comparison to ilumn and liionwholesale. I've ordered very few batteries from any other company in the past year - only when 18650bs didn't have something particular in stock that I was looking for.

I know. I'm going to have to enlist the services of @edwinbetz to make me a Vape Tree.
Actually, I haven't seen him around here anymore. Do you think his wife strangled him because of all the gear he bought?

I took some pointers from you and moved my coils away from each other a bit - I had mine almost touching in the middle of the deck - then rewicked it and cleaned it all up, but it still wants to spit at me when I go over about 60 watts. I have great flavor and manageable vapor at 58 watts, and I think I'm going to leave it there.

I think my coils are made of the same stuff as yours, but I have an extra wrap, and ohms are at 0.12. They are 3mm. With only five wraps, you must be under 0.1 ohms on that build?

You know they always do those treasure hunts or geocaching events, since the decline of vape events and shows/conventions and the big push for social distancing. Would be a blast to have various local/regional events across the country where people could team up in small groups of 3 or 4 and hunt for boxes like these hidden, packed with vape treasures. Not suggesting yours of course (you'd probably be swatting mitts off your stuff haha). Slightly smaller boxes though. Like a vape hunt.

Put together new display case for vape collection. Lighted and mirrored! Only lighted on top, but I plan on installing a light in the bottom half soon. Rearranged my collection and was able to put out most of what I had sill in boxes.View attachment 170936View attachment 170938

Chuck mentioned getting strips/tubes of LED lights for both your cabinet. and maybe even your mod tree. Inside the cabinet it can remain dimly light, especially on the bottom where it's dark. He has them inside his safe. Looks really nice.

Don't know about treasure hunts and such, but i find a lot of gear at pawn shops and garage sales.
I just picked up a small box of Goon RDA's at a garage sale 2 weeks ago. The lady said her husband cruised and she found them in the basement.
I don't know if they are authentic or not (not a Goon person) . They are in good shape but they aren't in boxes or bags, so who knows.
Maybe i'll PIF them for Christmas.

That's a cool find. Won't find much in my area like that. Won't find much of anything at garage sales in my area. And the people here are weird about stuff. For example living in Arizona if you asked someone 'hey, do you know where I could find..' and whatever it is, if they had it, they'd probably be like yea, $5. Or yea, take it, whatever. Hardwood pallets, water drums, various stuff.

In my area in the midwest you'll find like outdoor swapmeet type stuff. How much do you want for the broken trash bin with the crack in it? $25. Um.. it's broken. That's why it's only $25. I got a bucket for only $15 but it don't hold water. Everyone uses the hell out of stuff and it's not 'used' when you get it, it should be headed for the dump and they want a premium for it. And it's never anything cool like vape related stuff.

Or worse, they're brazen out here. I don't live in town, it's not a suburb. I don't even live on the main road, there's a dirt road that leads to my gravel driveway and I'm a good 2-300ft off the paved road in wooded area. Don't leave anything in one spot too long, strangers will pop by unannounced and just start pointing at shit. How much you want for that? What, my porch? I'm using it. That's my truck, no you can't have it. And no you can't have it for $500. There's no 'for sale' sign anyplace, get yer peepers back in your head lol.

Had one guy never seen before in my life. Drives in, pulls up to the gate and walks another 100ft onto my place while hay is being delivered. The farmer is in the middle of unloading large round bales into my hay pen and this clown doesn't ask 'hey, how much do you charge?' or 'can I get your card or number'. He's trying to buy THAT hay. Like who are you? Balls to come trespassing on my place first off, second to try and snatch my damn shit mid delivery. Get out! lol.
