Your Daily Motivation

Wednesday

June-30-2021

Take a break from thinking. If you have been feeling too overwhelmed lately, try turning off your running thoughts. Just stay focused and present in the moment.

Take a few deep breaths. Pay attention to the present moment, without any kind of judgment. When you notice that your mind is caught up in stressful thoughts, remind yourself to come back to the present. Direct your attention to what is happening right around you.

Savor every moment of your experience through your five senses. This will help you respond to your negative thoughts without attachment and allow a feeling of contentment to arise.

Six Ways to Lower Dementia Risk

By Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, MDs

Ron Prescott Reagan, 63, President Ronald Reagan's son, may be the political opposite of his conservative father, but one thing he and his dad have in common is a familial risk for dementia.

President Reagan had Alzheimer's for 10 years when he died in 2004 at age 93. And a new study says if you don't adopt dementia-defeating habits, having an immediate family member with dementia ups your risk for the disorder by 78% compared to folks with no close relative who has been affected.

Special: Here’s How to Speed Up Your Slow Metabolism

The good news: A study published in the journal Circulation identified six lifestyle habits that can go a long way toward preventing dementia — even for those with increased familial risk.

The researchers followed 302,239 men and women around age 60 for eight years. People with a familial predisposition for dementia cut their risk by adopting at least three of the healthy behaviors, and more healthy habits provided additional protection.

1. Not having obesity.

2. Getting 150 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous activity each week.

3. Regularly sleeping six to nine hours a night.

4. Consuming two (for men) or one (for women) alcoholic drinks a day or less.

5. Not smoking.

6. Eating a plant-based diet and skipping refined grains and processed meats.

*-- Staying Healthy Means Staying Hydrated --*

For most people, water is the best thing to drink to stay hydrated. Even certain foods, such fruits and vegetables which contain a high percentage of water. Sports drinks with electrolytes, may be useful for people doing high intensity, vigorous exercise in very hot weather, though they tend to be high in added sugars and calories so water should always be your go-to!

Hydration isn't just important during physical activity. Sitting in the sun on a hot or humid day, even if you aren't exercising, can also cause your body to need more fluids.

People who have a heart condition, are older than 50 or overweight may also have to take extra precautions.

It's also a good thing to keep tabs on your hydration if you're traveling. And here's something that might help with that... The Insulated Water Bottle with UV-C Sanitizing Cap!

The bottle itself is a double-walled, vacuum sealed water bottle designed to keep your drinks hot for up to 12 hours, and cold drinks for 24 hours. Even when pouring piping hot liquid, the bottle won't overheat! During hot summer days, that also means there won't be any condensation on the outside or water rings on your tables.
mail

And with its universal cap, designed to fit most tumbler bottles on the market, you had get rid of harmful germs! The built-in rechargeable battery powers an ultraviolet light that kills germs dead. Click it once to sanitize an empty bottle in 3 minutes, and double click to sanitize the water inside for 5 minutes.

Clean water is what you're body needs and with is unique water bottle - you can get it! I don't know about you, but I'll drink to that!

Because I do the majority of grocery shopping for my family, I had to share this with you.

The other day I was at CostCo doing the bulk of my shopping, so I thought I'd grab a few snacks for us, too.

But, it never ceases to amaze (and even irritate me) with how many harmful ingredients are in supposedly "paleo-friendly" or "super-healthy" snacks!

In fact, here are the top 4 toxins hiding in "healthy" snacks that you need to watch out for...

(1) Sugar

Not much of a shocker with this one.

As you know, sugar has been linked to everything from inflammation and obesity to diabetes and cancer.

And while there's nothing wrong with having an occasional sweet treat...

Sugar is hard to avoid... even if you want to, and if you're not on the look-out for it.

Food manufacturers dump it into just about everything... even stuff that's not supposed to be "sweet".

I looked at one so-called "paleo" energy bar (complete with a caveman logo), and it had over 22g of sugar per serving! Geesh!!

But, please don't turn to "zero calorie" or "low sugar" alternatives, because you also need to beware of...

(2) Artificial Sweeteners

This sounds like a good idea on the surface. You get rid of the calories from the sugar, while still getting the sweet flavor.

Unfortunately, since they don't have any calories, you never quite feel "full" or "satisfied" after eating them. And so, you keep on eating... and eating... and eating.

What's even worse...

They're ridiculously dangerous for your health. Numerous studies show they cause migraines, weight gain, and cardiovascular disease.

(3) Carbs

OK, carbs in and of themselves aren't bad... as long as you're careful about how many carbs you're getting, and where they're coming from.

But, most snacks are extremely carb-heavy (even ones that are considered to "healthy").

The problem with this?

Carb-heavy snacks shock your body by causing an immediate spike in your blood sugar levels.

And while you might feel more energized and alert at first...

... that spike is SOON followed by a hard crash — leaving you starving, fatigued, and grumpy.

(4) Trans Fats

This toxic fat has thousands of studies proving it causes chronic pain, inflammation, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and much more.

And although you'll rarely see "Trans Fat" printed in bold letters on the label... It's EVERYWHERE.

Big food companies are allowed to cram up to half a gram of trans fats per serving in their food… and still claim their food is "Trans Fat Free" (even though it obviously isn’t).

Plus, many companies use processes that disguise trans fats completely.

For example, 99% of beef sticks are "preserved" by coating them with citric acid and hydrogenated vegetable oil (ie, trans fat).

Yet they're allowed to hide this on the label and just put "encapsulated citric acid" instead.

Yes, I know it can be really hard to find an actual healthy snack...

I had my breast implants removed and I could not have made a better decision for myself.
I felt so much better in the months after having them removed.
I was shocked at how many heavy metals and toxins are in breast implants that can leach into your body.
Do you know anyone with breast implants?
Please share this book with them if you do.
And don’t get implants for yourself until you’ve read it.
It’s an Amazon Best Seller called ‘Killer Breasts’ and it’s written by my friend Diane Kazer.

  • reversed 50+ symptoms including a serious autoimmune issue
  • and even attracted the love of her life!
Since then, she’s helped thousands of women all over the world detox their bodies and regain their health after removing their breast implants.
In her book she details all of this and lays out a step by step guide to cleansing your body, healing your hormones and reigniting your confidence.

Your Daily Motivation

Thursday

July-1-2021

If you want to actually enjoy living, you have to let go trying to please everyone else. You have to go beyond judgment. You can't go through life worried about what everyone else is going to think.

You can't let the judgment of others stop you from creating a life that works for you. Don't automatically assume that their judgments are true. Work on building your self-confidence. If you think badly of yourself, it's easy to believe that everyone else is doing it too.

You can't control what people think about you, there's no point trying that. Just focus on yourself. If you believe in yourself, these judgments won't have any power over you.

Hi Jimi,

Have you ever heard that having low levels of "good" cholesterol is "bad"?
This is not an uncommon perception, even within the peer-reviewed scientific literature. We recently looked at an example of this in one of the daily live segments we taught for our recent Energy Reset Summit, that we produced with Better Life Summits, when we examined a study that looked at a low carbohydrate Mediterranean diet versus a low-fat diet. This study made several common mistakes, including the one discussed below, making a less healthy diet appear to be more healthy. This illustrates how important a well-rounded education and critical thinking are to make sense out of the plethora of conflicting information out there.
Getting back to cholesterol itself, to know if having a lower level of “good” cholesterol is “bad” or not, as with so many other considerations, we have to understand the greater context.
Here is one example.
HDL and LDL
are two of the major sub-categories of total cholesterol. For common levels of total cholesterol, all else being equal, the higher the HDL, the better. As HDL is considered to be protective against vascular disease and is therefore referred to as “good” cholesterol, this makes sense.
As far as this relationship is concerned however, the measurement that matters the most is the total cholesterol / HDL cholesterol ratio. The lower the ratio the better.
To clarify, if total cholesterol is 200, and HDL is 50, the total/HDL ratio is 4.0 (200/50=4). If total cholesterol is 200 but HDL is 67, the ratio is 3.0 (200/67=3). In this case an HDL of 67 is better than an HDL of 50.
Total Cholesterol
HDL “Good” Cholesterol
Ratio
Risk
200
50
4
Higher Risk
200
67
3
Lower Risk

But what about an HDL level of 50 if one’s total cholesterol is 125? 125 divided by 50 = 2.5. In this case, an HDL level of 50 is fantastic, as the total cholesterol is healthfully low, and the total / HDL ratio is excellent.
Total Cholesterol
HDL “Good” Cholesterol
Ratio
Risk
200
67
3
Higher Risk
125
50
2.5
Lower Risk

In these two cases, all things considered, the person with the total cholesterol of 125 and an HDL level of 50 is much better off than the person with a total cholesterol of 200 and an HDL level of 67, even though the person with an HDL level of 67 has higher levels of “good” cholesterol than the person with the HDL level of 50.

There’s a BIG health issue that flies under most people’s radars.

It’s not improper eating habits…

Or getting the right amount of exercise…

Or learning how to avoid toxins in the environment…

It’s mineral deficiencies.

You see…

Most people don’t even know they’re deficient.

In fact, very few people know the truth.

Simply put…

If you’re like the average American, chances are you’re simply not absorbing the proper level of minerals your body needs.

Why is this so important?

Because when your body is minerally deficient, you lack the crucial micronutrients necessary for proper health…

Maybe you’ve been feeling like, no matter how healthy you eat, how much you exercise, or what supplements they take…

Your health issues stay the same. Month after month. Year after year.

This can be especially frustrating if you’re working hard to “do everything right.”

Here’s the thing:

UNLESS your body is optimized, and your mineral absorption levels are where they’re supposed to be…

You’ll be wasting time, energy, and money trying to live healthy.

Did you know?

Thanks to widespread mineral absorption problems, on average only 20% of supplements get properly absorbed into the bloodstream…

Meaning, if you take ANY vitamin or supplement for your health, you’re essentially flushing most of your money down the toilet...

WHILE continuing to live minerally imbalanced!

SO if in the last 30 days you’ve not felt 100% or even 80% yourself…
And you’re interested in learning how you could get:

  • Better and deeper sleep
  • More energy throughout the day
  • Less stress and more relaxation
  • Quicker muscle recovery so you get back in the “game of life” faster
  • Faster metabolism so you can shed those tricky pounds
Click the link below.

This could be the one thing that makes all the difference for your health...

>> Learn how to easily optimize your mineral intake so you can feel your best TODAY

This works for all people, regardless of age, diet, or existing nutrient regimens…
