Better Food Choices Benefit Memory

By Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, MDs

In the 2011 movie "Bridesmaids," when the wedding party of Kristin Wiig, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, and Wendi McLendon-Covey is hit with food poisoning while shopping for their dresses, McCarthy screams "What did we eat?"

If you find yourself wondering that, the answer may be "highly processed foods."

According to a new lab study by researchers at Ohio State University, a month of chowing down on highly inflammatory, processed foods that lack fiber and healthy fats is enough to damage memory, especially in seniors.

Special: Is This the Death of Black Coffee?

When older lab rats were fed a diet that mimicked ready-to-eat packaged foods such as potato chips, frozen entrees like pasta dishes and pizzas, and deli meats containing preservatives, it damaged the memory centers in the animals’ hippocampus. That's the brain center that processes and retrieves fact- and event-based memories and memories related to locations and routes.

It also muted their response to dangerous situations (they couldn't recall that they were in peril), and they packed on pounds.

The good news is that omega-3 DHA can help protect you from that unhealthy junk.

But the study, published in the journal Brain, Behavior and Immunity, cautions that the anti-inflammatory powers of DHA aren't enough to eliminate the life-shortening risks of obesity. The best way to enjoy the health boost from DHA is to cut highly processed foods out of your diet completely, add in lots of DHA-rich salmon, and opt for whole grains as well as fruits and veggies.

Then you'll be able to remember what you ate — and be glad you did.

Strength Training Reduces Depression

Dr. Chauncey Crandall, M.D., writes:

People who do resistance exercises like weight lifting and strength training may experience fewer depression symptoms, a research review suggests.

Special: The Hidden Cause of Fatigue & Low Energy

The study team analyzed data from 33 clinical trials that randomly assigned a total of 947 adults to participate in resistance training programs and another 930 adults to be inactive. Resistance workouts were associated with fewer depression symptoms regardless of whether participants had a physical or mental health problem, although the effect was most pronounced in adults with mild to moderate depression, the study team reports in JAMA Psychiatry.

Resistance training was associated with a reduction in depression symptoms regardless of how often people exercised.

It also didn’t appear to matter whether participants experienced improvements in strength or gains in muscle mass.

Dr. Chauncey W. Crandall is author of Dr. Crandall’s Heart Health Report newsletter. He is a Yale graduate and is chief of the Cardiac Transplant Program at the world-renowned Palm Beach Cardiovascular Clinic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He practices interventional, vascular, and transplant cardiology.

Here they plan for in they say the next 10 yrs, they have discussed it and been planning it for several yrs now, transponders at various distances on all roads, cars be fitted with a device that the transponders reads and we will be taxed per kilometres travelled. Of course us poorer regional areas will be paying more as we need to travel often large distances to shop for things that our smaller towns dont have as well as travel big distances to see health providers and specialists. Our public transport is very very limited.
I heard too and its true, that many shopping malls here have devices that register which shops you go into. That is recorded and passed on to google to target you when you use the internet with advertising. There are in many large cities around the world, true this too, that have live billboard displays at bus stops, on the sides of bins etc, that are linked to google, as you walk near one or sit at the bus stop, your device is recognised, your shopping habits are used to then show and add on the screen for things google has recorded you as liking.
We dont have those in our towns here in the bush but any places in capital cities that have those types of live screen advertising use it.
Like a sci fi movie we are living in these days huh!
I use duckduckgo and have a phone you can turn off gps tracking and location.
I wont touch google now. Used to for some searches but recently I deleted it from my phone screen.

Hey, it's Chelsea.

Cottonwood bud oil is very effective for relieving pain and inflammation in swollen joints, carpal tunnel and muscles.

Massage the oil or salve into the affected area 3x/day.

But where do you find it? How do you spot if it's the right one?

And how do you prepare it yourself?

All that and much more in Nicole Apelian's new book of remedies.
You'll find 800+ beneficial plants and remedies in "The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies".

It includes recipes of tinctures, teas, decoctions, essential oils, syrups, salves, poultices, infusions and many other natural remedies that our grandparents used for centuries.

What's also special about this book is that it has between 2 and 4 high definition, color pictures for each plant and detailed identification guidelines to make sure you've got the right plant.

Even better.
If you needed to take it though best to turn the WiFi, Bluetooth and Locate functions off.
I take mine with them turned off. There are Qr code check ins here, its just easy to pretend to do it, look like you are and not get hassled.
If you dont have a phone they ask you to sign in on a list, name and number.
Thing is its all total rubbish. Nobody gets contacted that they entered a shop that is a covid contact site. Nobody here in our town has been contacted, which is what its supposed to be for. Its just tracking people plain and simple.

How to make sense of hard times? Sometimes we experience things that shake us to our core.

It can be difficult to make sense of why things happened the way they did. It's important to give yourself time to organize your thoughts and process negative emotions.

Writing about your feelings is an effective way of calming your mind during stressful periods. Hard times don't last forever, but they come with the opportunity to transform and push yourself to become better.

You have to really believe that you can beat your fears and irrational thoughts. They will lose their power without your attention.

Jimi, the American food system is messed up beyond belief.

Ingredients that are banned in other countries are allowed here…

It’s like they don’t care about our health, and yes… they ARE aware that these ingredients can cause cancer, make you fat, and a whole host of other problems.

Check out what the same brand of cereal puts in what they sell here in the US… vs. the ingredients in the UK:

In a perfect world, we’d buy fresh, natural ingredients and make everything we eat from scratch.

But life is rarely perfect. Sometimes, all you can do is grab a frozen meal, open the box, and throw it into the microwave. It happens to all of us.

Don’t despair!

You can make better choices when opting for processed foods and beverages, if you know what ingredients to avoid at all costs.

My good friend, Dr. Partha Nandi, M.C. F.A.C.P. is a full time, practicing gastroenterologist and internal medicine physician.

As an active holistic health practitioner in the field, Dr. Nandi is also the Chief Health Editor at WXYZ ABC Detroit and host of the Emmy Award-winning talk show, The Dr. Nandi Show.

The Science Behind Feeling Full

The reason you feel full after eating something is all in your head, literally. As your stomach digests your meal, it sends signals to your brain telling you that you’re not hungry anymore. Your body takes time to break down food into nutrients, releasing hormones that help you feel full and content.

Even your emotions are involved. Have you ever noticed how happy and satisfied you are after eating a meal that you love? On the other hand, when you’re stressed or depressed, you probably feel hungrier than normal. This is all because of hormones.

The Reason Some Foods Make You Feel Full Longer Than Others

Why are some foods more filling than others? One reason is that they take longer to digest. The more time your stomach spends processing food, the less time it has to feel hungry. Here are a few things that can make any meal more filling:

  • Fiber: Foods that are high in fiber take longer for your body to digest. Fiber turns the things you eat into a kind of gel, slowing them down as they move through your intestines. Another benefit of fiber is that it balances your blood-sugar levels, basically telling your body that your energy levels are good so you don’t need to eat anything else.

  • Protein: When you eat protein, your body releases specific hormones responsible for feelings of fullness. High-protein foods are the best snacks for calming the munchies. Eggs have a lot of protein, and so do nuts and different types of fish.

  • Water: Getting enough water with meals is a great way to calm your appetite. Not only does water have zero calories, it contributes to fullness. Fruit that naturally has high water content is very filling, such as a slice of watermelon or some fresh pineapple.
Other foods help you stay full longer because they have a low energy density. In other words, they have a lot of volume but not very many calories. You feel satisfied without feeling guilty.

The Best Foods for Calming Hunger

The munchies can make cutting calories from your diet easier said than done. To have success with your weight loss goals, reach for these foods at meal time:

  • Soup: Cooked veggies and protein with plenty of water are the perfect recipe for a filling meal.
  • Greek yogurt: This healthy treat has a lot of protein and probiotics to calm hungry feelings.
  • Vegetables: Did you know that broccoli is 90% water? Leafy greens are packed with fiber, too. Carrots are another filling choice.
  • Fresh fruit: Apples, bananas and oranges have plenty of fiber and water, and they’re super-fast to grab on the go.
  • Potatoes: Boiled or baked potatoes are among the most filling foods on the planet. Scientists think they have a special protein that suppresses appetite.
My personal recommendation is to add a salad to everything (but skip the ranch dressing). If you’re making spaghetti for your kids, make some salad, too. That way you eat fewer calories but still feel satisfied. This helps calm nighttime snacking temptations a lot.

To your best health,

In the interviews that I participate in, I am, naturally, preaching to the choir.
I am asked to share space with influencers who are inspired by my experience and perspective and we grow the field of faith in the human body, in medical freedom, and in the deconstruction of deceptions that have arrested us in victim consciousness.
In this interview series, I had a different experience. Not since the Joe Rogan interview have I felt in the space of growth and refinement of my perspective and vision that is facilitated by contention and disagreement.
My stances on pharmaceuticals and germ theory are, apparently, difficult for many to metabolize, and I respond to some soft accusations in this conversation.
By the end of it, I felt invigorated to have laid bare the invitation - to divine a path to togetherness between those who believe in vitalism and those who believe in the mechanistic random universe of human biology.
Perhaps this listen will serve to fortify you in your more challenging interactions...to hold your truth, stand your ground, and also begin to connect across the divide... 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

How to Get Off Blood Pressure Meds

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

While blood pressure medications are necessary in some cases, you can beat high blood pressure in the same way you beat heart disease — by changing the way you eat, move (or don’t move!), and handle stress.

Making positive changes in these three areas can have a great impact on your ability to control your blood pressure without medications, or with fewer drugs.

Special: Blood Pressure & Love Life Helped by Doctor's 'Prescription.' See How.

Diet. The first thing to do is get your diet under control. How? By embracing a plant-based diet of whole foods; in other words, a way of life that is free from salt-laden, processed food.

Exercise. One of the best ways to get fit is to walk. You’ll reduce your risk of high blood pressure, and you’ll also prevent heart disease at the same time.

Reduce Stress. If you are under stress, the reason may be obvious. If not, you may need to talk to your doctor, a counselor, or your pastor — anyone who can objectively help you sort through the issues that are causing you stress. Then embark on a program to reduce it.

In weeks, new GMO labeling regulations will go into effect, making it next to impossible to tell if most of the foods we’re buying are GMOs!

These new Trump-era regulations do not require on-package GMO labels for any GMO products.

To stop this madness, last year Center for Food Safety (CFS) filed a lawsuit to force USDA to require labeling of all GMO foods on the package. The case is working its way through the courts and right now our legal team is working overtime to file our main arguments. The deadline is days away — and we need your help to win!

This lawsuit is our best hope at saving GMO labeling, but “Big Ag” special interests have intervened in the case to do everything they can to keep GMO labels off their products. We need to be prepared for a long fight.

So of 1000 people requiring hospitalization just under 500 are fully vaccinated.

I hear this is happening in many other countries too. I see they mention the 70% in intensive care unvaccinated or just partially. But my concern is that the overall admission rate is near equal. And lets face it, nobody gets admitted to hospital for a holiday or rest. They are all there because there is a serious concern over their health.

A superfood tree has been quietly making its way into many American backyards.

If you can spot this peaceful invader he'll provide you with food (all parts are edible), water (it can purify it), more protein and calcium than milk, four times the iron of spinach and... a LOT more:

The Tree That Every Prepper Should Grow in His Backyard
I planted one in my backyard and was absolutely blown away by how fast it grew - over 4' feet in just 2 months.

Best of all, this tree already grows in many American backyards, so see if it grows in your own backyard as well.

The Best Ways to Manage Arthritis

By Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen, MDs

In 1959, funnyman Jack Benny was appointed chief justice of the "Ancient and Independent Province of Beverly Hills." He told the audience, "I don't deserve this award, but I have arthritis and I don't deserve that either."

No one deserves arthritis, but it's a major cause of disability in the U.S., affecting more than 58 million people ages 18 and older, according to a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report.

Special: The 'Diet' Food Making You Fatter

Osteoarthritis — a degenerative joint condition that affects hands, knees, hips, lower back, and neck — is the most common form.

In the old days, it was thought of as a wear-and-tear problem, but we now know it's an active inflammatory disease, affecting bone, cartilage, ligaments, fat, and tissue lining a joint.

Obesity and unmanaged stress are major, modifiable causes because of the inflammation they trigger. Weak muscles and a genetic predisposition can also lead to arthritis.

Although more common in people over age 50, any joint injury, such as a torn ACL or meniscus, can progress rapidly to arthritis.

Once it develops, arthritis can trigger depression and anxiety. And around half of people with diabetes or heart disease also have arthritis, decreasing their mobility.

Your best solutions:

1. Get physical activity, which can reduce pain and increase joint function by 40%.

2. Take part in a chronic disease self-management program.

3. Undergo physical therapy to ease pain, increase mobility, and strengthen muscles.

4. Eat an anti-inflammatory diet (no red or processed meats, no added sugars, no ultra-processed foods).

5. Lose weight, if needed, and monitor blood glucose levels.

True, but reading between the lines there, it's virtually admitting that the vaxxed are hardly any more protected than the unvaccinated.
I would think that most media outlets would keep that under wraps as it would fuel what they term "vaccine hesitancy".

You're going to overcome this period of life with grace. It's going to be okay. Take a deep breath and acknowledge the opportunity to grow beyond your pain.

Dear Jimi,
Few if any really know my wife, soul mate, and partner, Dr. Kelly Brogan, as I do.
Certainly, if you read the international mainstream media headlines, you'll think she's unhinged, foaming at the mouth, and intent on misleading the public, or worse, actively "killing people" with her 'misinformation' --
as president Biden accused us both of doing, only a few months ago.
But is it true? Is she really crazy and dangerous? Should she be de-platformed, defamed, and exorcised from medicine and psychiatry for speaking openly about her unorthodox views?
I suggest you be your own judge and take the opportunity to watch her latest interview which, my biases aside, I found to be simply awe-inspiring, and such a profound testimony to her incredible integrity, brilliance, passion, and yes, willingness to put on the gloves and fight when unfairly provoked, or when standing up for others whose voices have been suppressed or maligned.
I think you're going to love this woman, as I do, after watching this remarkable video!
If so, feel free to learn more
about her on her website: www.KellyBroganMD.com and check out our online membership community, Vital Life Project, which connects like-minded individuals with shared intentions, values, and missions in a beautiful "walled garden" of our own making.
Warm regards

Hey Jim,

It's time to stretch your legs, take a quick walk, grab a snack, and whatever else you need to charge up for the rest of Day 2!

But before you do, we'd like to share a few of our favorite highlights from today's presentations.

  • Around the 36-minute mark of Dr. Maya Shetreat's presentation she shares the physiological benefits of two of my favorite things in life.... pets and nature! Dr. Maya is a good friend of ours here at RHT, and has been a constant source of support for my wife and I over the past few years of dealing w/ autoimmune flares!
  • Dr. Keesha Ewers details her HURT Model for healing at the 19-minute mark of her presentation - with a focus on trauma and emotions. This work has been the most valuable for myself and my wife in our healing journeys!
  • If you're into cutting-edge health technologies, tune into Dr. Kirk Gair's presentation, around the 14-minute mark, to learn about many ways that cold laser therapy may be beneficial for those with AI conditions!
We've also got 3 brand new presentations airing today for the first time, including a 2-part deep dive into the Chinese Medicine approach to Autoimmunity w/ Marc Ryan, LAc. (This could be it's own entire masterclass - loaded with info!)

There are so many more... but those are some of my favorite teaching moments in today's presentations! Head over and check them all out!

What are some of your favorite moments so far?

We've received so many incredible emails, messages, and even a few text messages over the last couple days! Keep 'em coming!

Want to go back and watch all of the presentations again?

Okay, you still have time to watch the presentations today... Enjoy!!

Head back to the Day 2 Lobby HERE! <== Keep Watching Day 2 Now.

In health and a balanced immune system,
