Gopher as in go for this or go for that while in the Air Force. Like go for a bucket of prop wash or go for 10 feet of flight line. Byrd because it looks more impressive than bird.

While I work a lot in MN, I do not live here. I live closer to Granny Bear than any one else. Hence the go Niner's and Giants! Born and raised in the Bay Area before it became weird.

Ahh..gotcha.
Living near grannybears sounds kinda scary….fun, but scary. And I agree with your Bay Area take. Beautiful area but it has become something I don’t ever care to visit again. And that gopher of yours is holding my very first REO…which I haven’t seen forever…….just sayin.
And, most importantly, since I now know you’re not a gopher fan I can say without any reservation…fuck Minnesota too. And I lied…I’ve uttered that many times.

What kind of work takes you to MN.

The company I work for makes equipment for electric, natural gas, and water utilities. I'm surveying sites in MN to place our equipment for the major electric and natural gas utility there.

I don't get on a lot when I'm traveling for work. After all day looking at electric poles and entering the data it's time for food and drink. Then it's time for bed just to start it all over again the next day...

And I agree: Fuck Baseball! Ain't both sides rich enough? I remember back in the day when Willie Mays got his first 100K contract. Everyone said baseball players aren't worth $100,000 a year to play a kids game...

I absolutely agree…about both, the work part and the baseball part.
The bigger issue is the 3 peeps…who shall remain nameless, but you and I know who they are…that may have damaged you turning you into poor, pooooor gopher. Shameless. You can only imagine the atrocities I’ve endured over the years.
Ive got your back, Jack. Just say the word and I’ll unleash my hound from hell on them. Ankle nips and and frightful yips in their future. Lord knows I’ve done my best to keep this place above board and in line but I’m sure you can clearly see what I’m up against.

I’m not exactly what you would call a thong model but feel It’s my neighborly duty to don my mowing thong whenever possible. The neighbors seem to enjoy it. I base that on the lighthearted laughs and , of course, the many pictures they take to share with friends and family. I have a delux model with the 27” raccoon tail. It really does make all the difference.
