Here's a great example of a recipe that you will love! Try it out this week!
Ingredients:
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 8 oz mushrooms your favorite type or a combination of several
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 1 medium carrot chopped
  • 1 cup cooked green lentils
  • 1/2 cup cooking red wine
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas thaw before adding
  • 1 medium sweet potato cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 medium russet potato cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or to taste
  • 1/4 cup almond milk if needed
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to bake at 350 degrees F.
  2. Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch chunks. Put potatoes in a large saucepan with boiling water. Cook potatoes until soft. Drain and mash the potatoes together. Add almond milk if needed to make the potatoes smoother. Add the garlic powder.
  3. In the meantime, Sauté the onion and garlic in the vegetable broth until the onions are soft. Add more broth if needed.
  4. Add the mushrooms, celery, and carrots and sauté for 5 minutes until the vegetables are getting soft.
  5. Add the cooked lentils, red wine, tomato paste, and spices. Stir to mix. Cook for 3 minutes before adding peas. Stir well and let the peas heat up.
  6. Divide the vegetable mixture into two oven-safe containers. Top the vegetable mixture with the potato mixture and bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. If you wish to brown the top of the potato, turn the oven setting to broil and broil for a few minutes. Keep your eyes on the potatoes so they don’t burn.
  8. Eat one of the pies now and let the other cool and cover with a tight lid and freeze for up to 7 days
NOTE:Try adding finely chopped sautéed mushrooms to the potato mixture and top with parsley. Instead of peas use edamame beans or lima beans.

The wild salmon that live near Prince Edward Island and Maine are still recovering after extensive efforts to restore their habitat. Local salmon supporters have done significant work to restore the nesting sites of wild salmon, which are finally starting to recover. So why does the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) think it’s safe for the biotechnology startup, AquaBounty, to expand its commercial GMO salmon operations around these vulnerable wild salmon populations?
FDA just opened their latest environmental assessments of AquaBounty’s GMO salmon facilities for public comment. Unfortunately, FDA never fully assessed whether the proposed containment strategies for these GMO salmon will work, among other issues with the assessment. We need your help to push FDA to do better in assessing the risk to endangered wild Atlantic salmon and to protect the surrounding wild salmon populations from the potential fish escapes that come with these GMO salmon grow operations.
This is FDA’s last chance to get this crucial environmental assessment right. Can you send a message to FDA to protect wild salmon from AquaBounty’s GMO salmon now?
Tell FDA to protect wild salmon and our environment from GMO salmon!
When GMO salmon escape or are accidentally released into bodies of water, the new species could threaten native fish populations by mating with endangered salmon species, outcompeting them for scarce resources and habitat, and introducing new diseases.
FDA’s first environmental assessment of AquaBounty’s proposal missed the vulnerability of the wild salmon populations entirely! The assessment also missed this project’s potential to render wild salmon extinct should something go wrong and GMO salmon escape.
That’s why Center for Food Safety (CFS) took FDA to court and won when the judge agreed that FDA needed to redo its environmental assessments. Now FDA is back with the new assessments the judge ordered. While FDA’s second attempt is better than their first, the assessments still don’t fully account for the environmental threat that GMO salmon pose to wild salmon or ensure that GMO salmon won’t escape.
Now AquaBounty is preparing to expand its facilities in the US, which means even more GMO fish egg production around Prince Edward Island and the wildlife that call it home. This means even greater potential for GMO salmon to escape into neighboring waters, where they could reach the wild salmon runs of Maine.
Tell FDA to protect wild salmon and our environment from GMO salmon!
FDA’s new assessment assumes these GMO salmon are risk-free because the containment measures of the facilities are presumed to work, but FDA never did a full assessment of whether they actually will. When biotech companies experiment with GMO salmon near wild salmon populations, they are risking the very existence of our wild fish. The bottom line is that we don’t know if GMO salmon are safe for people, wildlife, or the environment. We need to tread cautiously, which includes developing a strategy to minimize damage in case they aren’t.

When arguments happen, we must find ways to address the issues that come up without personally attacking our loved ones.

Think of arguments as an opportunity for a reset. As time passes and we fall into a routine, we tend to become oblivious to our partners' expectations.

Arguments allow you to express any unmet needs and unfulfilled expectations in your relationship.

Once you and your partner have expressed issues that need to be addressed, you can then work towards making the necessary changes to improve your relationship.

As a result, you can avoid resentment from building up in the relationship. Explain things from your own perspective and calmly listen to your partner as well. Help each other to heal from the argument.

Damn I am glad I do my research and didn't fall into the grasp of modern medicine;););););););););););)
I feel that I've known it to be true for a long time, since at least around 2012. It's that swinging door between pharma and government, and they need to get rid of social security/medicare recipients because that money was robbed long ago. It's why they made it such a strict Covid protocol in the hospital chains, to put seniors on ventilators, which will usually kill them.
