Overwhelmed by all of the diet advice out there, Jimi??

So are we (and millions of others out there).

It can be easy to go into “information overload” when it comes to eating healthy… Especially when a lot of the advice is coming from unreliable sources.

If you search for it, you’ll find a diet plan for every health concern under the sun. Some of them are valid, and some are complete scams.

How are you ever supposed to figure out what to do?

Well, this is the advice we give our clients and would recommend you do the same.

  • No “diet” is ever going to give you the long-term nutritional benefits you need to fuel your mind and body. You need to be looking for long-term, lifelong habits to put into place. There is no quick fix, temporary solution to healthy eating.

  • The best eating plans are those that don’t include processed carbs and sugars. You need to be avoiding both of these things because they are highly inflammatory.

  • Chronic illnesses may necessitate a customized nutrition plan that supports your body best. Conditions like autoimmune diseases, IBS, and rheumatoid arthritis require further eliminations and/or supplementation. Check with your functional medicine doctor if you have any of these chronic conditions.

  • A lot of times health and nutrition go beyond just what you are eating. You can have a squeaky clean diet, but if you’re not sleeping well, moving your body, and engaging in healthy, meaningful relationships (with yourself and others), you’re never going to feel your best.

Something a little special this week Jim!!

As you know, 98% of the time in our Going Integrative Plus community, the weekly audience Q&A call is with a holistic cancer doctor of some sort.

1-Minute Test Shows You Your Body’s Vitality

Take 1-minute and try this out… It’s something called the Body Oxygen Level Test and it provides incredible insight into your body’s energy levels and overall health status.


Ready?


Here’s how to do it…

  1. Take a normal breath in through your nose and allow a normal breath out through your nose.
  2. Pinch your nostrils shut and hold your breath.
  3. Count the number of seconds until you feel the FIRST definite desire to breathe, or the first stresses of your body urging you to breathe. (Don’t push your body to your absolute breath hold LIMIT – just until the first desire to breathe).
  4. Release and resume normal breathing. Your breathing should be normal and calm. (If you’re breathing hard, you held too long).
How many seconds did you get?


Here’s the bottom line:


  • A healthy, vital, energetic body should be able to hold for at LEAST 40 seconds.
  • If you got LESS THAN 25 seconds, it indicates dysfunctional breathing and a body in poor health (low energy/vitality).
You may not know it, but our BREATHING habits are a major key to health and high energy levels.


And dysfunctional breathing (which the majority of people have) is a major cause of chronic low energy levels, and chronic anxiety.
