Now I'm pissed. It just scanned as arrived at USPS Facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. That's basically Chicago. I'm in Denver. L.A. to Chicago = Denver? WTF. Makes no sense, still says delivery today, lol. I hope my shit doesn't get lost by USPS. I was expecting the same scan, but in Denver.

Or maybe an ink eraser. Then use the pencil eraser to make it clearer if needed.
I ordered the black so i am not even sure when it will arrive to the shop to be shipped.
So just a basic eraser can clear off a mirror finish? That's incredible!
I'd never heard of the ink eraser - that makes more sense to me because Wikipedia talks about it being a "metal scraper". But yeah it does compare it to a pencil eraser as well. I had no idea an eraser was that abrasive!

Sorry for the late reply, If you just use sand paper you will end up with a frosted clearish look, essentaily the sand paper is removing the mirror finish which is on the back side of the glass. you need a buffing/polishing compound to get it clear as glass. the liquid acts as buffer when you polish. the reason for for 2k grit then 4k(wet sanded) is to get the scratches down to managable size that it can be buffed/polished out. hope this helps.Guys, on this screen cover issue.
I went out to the hardware store today and came back with 1000 grit sandpaper. I could not find anything higher - for that I'd need to order on eBay.
In his separate thread, Budkiss said he used 1000 grit followed by 3000 grit followed by "polishing liquid" -ie most of the contents of a headlight restoration kit.
My question is, do I need to spend another $15 or so on a full kit? Or at least do I need to separately buy 3000 grit paper and polishing liquid to add to my 1000 grit?
Or can I get away with less? What would the screen look like if I just used the 1000, for example? Or what might it look like with 1000 + 3000 but no polishing liquid?
Budkiss also mentioned maybe using emory boards, but I'm not yet sure what they're equivalent too - ie are they like 1k or 3k sandpaper. I've asked him all this on his thread but if anyone hear knows sooner, that'd be a bonus. I know @Maverik_X said he'd done this at a tint shop before.

I will be getting a kit and doing mine, just found pics of the jwrap's wrap for this mod and it covers the whole glass with cutouts for the screen and buttons so it will look good when finish. will post pics after the wrap is installed. and glass is clear.

Ink erasers use to come on some ink pens that looked like a pencil. It was a lot more abrasive then the pencil eraser and pretty sure it would work.

Ever so slightly slower ramp up than a smaller coil but after that first pull it's all fired up and ready to go.
Kinda surprised it's working perfectly with a .062 coil at 50j.

Yeah I assumed they'd hobble the chip since it's their budget temp control chip but it was trying to fire the .05 I had in before this build, I just never got round to wicking it to see if it'd continue.

So here is what the black may look like. I saw this on a post for the Smog groupbuys reddit. I hope this is what they send out for the black. Because I really don't like the black body with the silver taco shell cover.

The IPV4 manual says .05 to .1 ohm for best performance. I have a picture of that section of the manual displayed below.
Ah awesome thanks, I'd not looked at the updated manual, just found it on their website.
I guess the second batch onwards will be having this manual (like the first one should have had!)
