Sounds like a CGM (continuous glucose monitor). Life changing for a damned diabetic cry baby boohoo my sugar is high/low needy bastards……
The one I have is connected to my pump and a lot of the mundane stuff is taken care of automatically like my basal rate ( a set amount my pump delivers in tiny increments over a set period) which changes throughout the day. Less insulin while working, more when I get off work and become more sedentary. CGM info can be sent to your phone for a quick look at your current blood sugar and eliminates the need for most finger sticks.
Is sis on a pump or taking injections?
Before the pump I would do 5 injections a day if I was having the best, most amazing blood sugar day. A bad day would be 12-15 or more a day.
Sister is on old fashioned pokes. She's a nurse and well credentialed to poke
Type 2. But she has had times where she has needed 3 or 4 pokes a day
Probably more when she visited me. Because I invariably nearly kill her
I saw a video of people dipping Oreos in sour cream and exclaiming that it tasted just like cheesecake.
She has my sympathy and I’ll send good blood sugar vibes her way.
She also doesn’t need my sympathy. She needs to suck it up and do what she needs to do because nobody else can do what is needed for her. But I’m still sending good BS vibes her way.

I had cornbread once
I don't think that poop day followed for about a week after cornbread day
My daughters took me to a bougie restaurant in LA that had really good cornbread. Lots of butter may help with the poop day issues. Nevertheless, I prefer mine with honey and butter only.

I found a very good cornbread recipe that still works no matter what I do to it.
My basic cornbread has evolved into bacon, cheddar, jalapeño cornbread…..but jalapeños have no heat this time of year (but you need the jalapeño flavor) so I add Serrano peppers and cheddar is great (very sharp cheddar) but the addition of Parmesan and Asiago makes a huge difference. And yes…you will poop after eating this. I usually have to poop just making it.
Butter on it=good
Honey=better
My “homemade” hot, cinnamon, vanilla honey=even better
Maple syrup over crushed up cornbread = just as good as honey
