Basically, I'm a flavor chaser, and I am in looking to buy a few new vape toys. I currently vape exclusively on two sub-ohm tanks....the Aspire Atlantis, and the Horizon Arctic. While I do enjoy both tanks fairly well, I crave more flavor.

Since vaping to me is both a hobby and a pleasure, I plan on getting , among other things, 3 new delivery devices. One new RTA, one new RDA, and one now sub-ohm tank. This is where I need advice. Coming from the perspective of a FLAVOR CHASER....I need to know what everything thinks is currently the BiC (Best in Class) at the moment.

I am not rich, so therefore I AM limited by price point. I am not looking to spend more than $50 on any individual device.

So, here we go. In YOUR opinion, can you please list the 3 recommendations you would give for BEST RTA, BEST sub-ohm tank, and Best RDA (for FLAVOR. All for FLAVOR):

Sub-ohm tank/RTA: Smoktech TFV4.

Best RDA: Velocity (preferably by Tobeco for cost savings)

If you have those two, you will barely need anything else imo.

EDIT: The type of build you have in the tanks matter a lot as well so keep that in mind when you are flavor chasing! :)

I own a ton of rda's, most of them smaller chamber flavor attys... 2 cloud chuckers. 2 subohm tanks, arctic (ok) and the tobecco supertank mini (coils are worthless but it takes atlantis style coils so it's all good).

So far my favorite for flavor is the hastur top airflow rda single coil temp controlled.

The TFV4 and Uwell Crown have blown away all other tanks. I think they're both equally as impressive. Can't really go wrong with either.

Some TFV4 users report issues with their o-rings, but I believe replacements can be found.

Here is a trick to help you keep those o rings like new for a long time. Use a little bit of whatever juice you are vaping on your finger tip and rub it on the inside ring of the bottom of your glass tube. This will make the screwing on the the bottome with the atty much easier and it won't strip those o rings. Think of the juice as lube!

Direct lung hits! I love my drippers and my tfv4 dual rba. Flavor is amazing in my velocity and tfv4. What type of hit is the goblin mini best for?

Fellow flavor chaser
I would suggest getting the triton coils for the atlantis-12$ and/or the silo beast from beyond vape(the triton coils will work in the Atlantis so the silo beast wouldn't be an immediate gotta have it item

For an rta- either goblin mini or project subohm silverplay mini
RDA I love the flavor off of the Aeolus v2 pro and the Jaybo indestructible

I have a petri v1.5 and a stumpy (clones) coming from fasttech, if the quality is even close to their goblin, I'll be thrilled

I absolutely LOVE my Petri!!!!!
I like it better than any of them for flavor. I've never seen the clones at all so I would feel bad recommending it.
But the flavor off of it is absolutely amazing.

You have both? How do they compare?
I prefer building on the silverplay- the deck just "feels more solid", and if you don't have a plate on your 510 the silverplay is definitely the way to go (the bottom is not as sharp)
The flavor is about the same
The draw on the silverplay is more build dependent. But The goblin mini is a touch quieter.

That's the aromamizer rdta- SUPPOSEDLY- it performs exactly like an rda-it should from the looks of it.
I'm just shallow and ocd - the rubber band afc drives me absolutely insane!!

So I'm waiting for them to do a v2

I haven't tried everything out there but let me tell you rta- billow v2 / subtank - crown / rda - anything with dual alien coil installed it's kinda old now but the plume veil. Enough awsome flavor to end my search

Not sure about the new one but I just got the Aromamizer Mini.
2 hours in, I'm not feelin' this as an MTL device. Flavor's great direct lung inhale though.
Still much to learn on this one...
I was stuck between the aromanizer and the bellus than found a review that the guy stated the bellus= more flavor

Shouldn't we talk about the type of builds as well? A rta is as good as the build that's in it as far as flavor goes. I think that is why there is such disparity between what many think as "best"

I've found, for my tastes shorter = flavor.
Right on only thing that freaks me out is the deck is kinda small but the juice chanels are giant so excited about no dry hits and my first tc unit so extra no dry hits lol ill def do a review when i get it

wow, this is why I wont suggest anything to anyone UNTIL AFTER I have tried it for myself.
youtubers are not the end all be all, of education, lets take the cthulu2, every reviewer loves it... I hate it.
Generally speaking most have found a longer chimney to be a flavor killer, and UD as a company is hot right now; because, of the goblin mini, the reviewers will love it because its UD. if you want to be tester and first rounder go for it, I'm the same way. I have one that should be here tomorrow: but, I will use it myself, before I cost someone else their hard earned money.
just my opinion, but, the principled person I am tells me not to speak on things I don't know about at someone else's expense.
the OP is trying to stay under 50$, I would hate to cost him a portion of that for something he may not like.

bottom line if you are speculating, just say that in your post, "i have heard" " I think" or "it looks like" so that people don't assume that you know.

Probably the hardest part of getting usable info on a forum is the burdensome (and expensive) process
of figuring out member... credibility. And in vaping forums this means much more than listening to those who know their shit.
The goal (for me at least) is to find the smart kids who vape like I do. I listen to all the smart kids, but I buy based more on 'tastes in common'.

After all, if yer' a lung-suckin' 165W 26mm quad dripper guy, (iow, a freak):) you prolly wouldn't give much weight to the opinion of a 30W MTL ex-smoker.
Yet every thread has replys like... 'OMG! OMG!!.. the UltraSuperMegaMiniMongo iz teh bestest flavorest cloudiest tankest EVER!!!'' o_O
...and we have to filter that through the members 'cred'. (I'm waiting for the V2 btw...) :)
By the time I was on this forum for a few months, I had identified only a handful of members whose posts I trusted at the BuyItNow level. Thanks for bein' one of 'em.

I wish everybody who posted advice would adopt f1/reBdR's (or however the *%#% it's spelled. Cant'choo get a real name???) :) policy.
I do appreciate it.
thanks dude, much appreciated!

I'll sometimes offer opinions w/o personal experience, but I usually try to make a point of noting it's based on what I'd read, heard, saw, researched, whatever.

As for "f1r3b1rd": It's l33t sp34k. Yours would be "Sh4rk V4p3" :)

You're right, of course: Getting, not just good information, but guidance that's applicable to your needs can be hard. In just the few days I've been here I've already changed my buying decision twice, as new data came to light. And not minor changes, either.

So I have entirely different favorites from what has been posted ... go figure.
1) I have a lot of sub ohm tanks - Uwell TFV4, Kanger, Mini, Delta 2. Honestly I like the taste of the Kanger Mini with the .5 coil at 35w. Now this is just for taste with a 70/30 - 60/40 juice.
2) My favorite RTA is the goblin mini for taste but it is a pita to fill so I use the Zephyrus and its really good.
3) By far my favorite taste RDA is my APO. It seems not a lot of people are familiar with the APO. It is a fantastic flavor RDA and I've used Tobh, Freakshow, and Petri.
Everything is subjective. Take whatever I write as my preferences with a grain of salt. I'm a pretty experienced vapor though. A lot has to do with builds - coils on an RBA, RTA or RDA determine flavor too. I find claptons best. For a sub ohm tank there are just a slew of good coils these days.

The Goblin Mini is IMO the best (and possibly only) purely flavor-centric tank on the planet.
But it's really more of an MTL device. But if MTL your preference, get the G-Mini.
Nothing else even approaches it. And that includes RDAs. (oh shit... release the krakens)

So how do you vape? Directly into your lungs?... or "mouth to lung"? (like a cigarette)
That would make a huge difference in my advice.

Direct lung hits...believe it or not, thats how I smoked cigs too. I never even heard of mouth to lung until I started vaping and reading the forums

Not really. I think most experienced flavor chasers already know which builds work for them, so that really isn't the issue the here. I'm just asking for which devices works the best, and trust me, while build makes a big difference, the build is limited in its abilities by the device its built on.

For instance, out of all of the devices I own, I already know their limitations and capabilities according to the various builds I've tried on them.

Believe me, I fully agree with you that the build is very, very important....but in this case it just isn't relevant info I need ;) Although I won't be offended if anyone offers their build suggestions on the devices they recommend.

Thanks everyone

You and me, both, SV. Only things I ever smoked DLI were... uh... herbs. Yeah: Herbs. But cigarettes?

Then I found out, just this last week, mind you: That's the way my wife smokes! Been married to the woman near a quarter century and did not know that until last week. Did not know, until last week, that anybody smoked cigarettes that way.

I totally get what you mean, I've tried some silly builds and failed miserably many times trying to be too adventurous in small spaces in RTAs and hybrid RTAs like Kanger Subtank Mini. But I was able to squeeze a fused clapton of 30 gauge nichrome cores (2) and 40 gauge nichrome wrap at 2.0 mm diameter with 6 wraps in there. It vapes like a champ with flavor that probably rivals my other RTAs that i've read meant for "flavor chasing"

After this long thread - what are you thinking about getting so far?
