Hi ,

A few weeks ago, I told you about the Airbnb we stayed in — the stunning house overlooking a lagoon that turned out to be full of mold. Brain fog, fatigue, my skin flaring up. It took moving out and a course of activated charcoal to get back to feeling like myself.

That experience got me looking a lot closer at what else might be hiding in the spaces we spend the most time in. And it turns out mold is just one piece of a much bigger picture.

The cleaning products under most kitchen sinks are a good example. Bleach, ammonia, synthetic fragrances — combined, they create a chemical load most families are breathing in every single day without realizing it.

This is exactly why I want to point you toward something Trevor King at the Live Better Group has put together. He's running a free Summer Webinar Series — three Thursday evenings covering some of the most interesting natural health therapies I've come across in a while.

Register free here >>

One topic is a natural cleaning solution called HOCL — the same technology the CDC recommends and hospitals use, replacing everything under your sink with one non-toxic spray that's safe around food and kids, and more effective than bleach.

Another is red light therapy, originally pioneered by NASA, with hundreds of published studies now showing it activates mitochondria (your cells' energy centers), reduces inflammation, and supports everything from skin health to joint recovery.

And the one I'm most excited about — a course Trevor built alongside the late Dr. Andrew Saul, widely regarded as one of the world's foremost vitamin educators. It's called the Mega Vitamin Formula, and it walks through how to use vitamins and supplements to genuinely support the body, not just supplement around the edges.

The full series runs across three Thursdays, and every therapy or product featured is available at its lowest price of the year on the night it's covered — with a few flash sales tucked throughout for anyone paying close attention.

Confused Immune System with Dr. Eric Gordon
We rarely die of acute infections in this day and age; modern medicine helps our bodies survive most physical traumas. But especially after 40 years of age, more of us are living with chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, allergies, and a lifetime of medications.

As our lifestyles have shifted less movement, less wholesome food, more modern toxicants our immune systems have gotten confused.
Dr. Eric Gordon shares more on this in the upcoming Immune for Life 10-Part Docuseries, a beautiful project from award-winning filmmaker Stephan Apostolov. Dr. Gordon was honored to be one of 35 medical doctors and health experts interviewed for it, an important conversation about what real immunity means.

The docuseries kicks off on August 17th.
The Toxic Burden Behind Menopause Symptoms: Heavy Metals, Hormones, and Clinical Cues with Dr. Nafysa Parpia
August 21st: 12 pm PT | 3 pm ET
Exclusively for healthcare professionals, from health coaches and nutritionists to physicians and advanced practice clinicians.

A woman in her late 40s feels fine, then seemingly overnight develops diffuse pain, brain fog, insomnia, and fatigue. She arrives with a fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue label and a hormone panel that doesn't explain the severity. Dr. Nafysa Parpia sees this pattern constantly.

In this professional masterclass, Dr. Parpia connects it to something most practitioners never think to test for: endogenous contamination.

Highlights:
  • Why estrogen loss drives bone turnover, releasing stored lead and cadmium into the blood
  • Dr. Parpia’s clinical observations of NHANES metals data in correlation to menopausal status, significantly higher blood lead levels
  • CDC/ATSDR toxicant rankings and what high percentile exposure means clinically
  • Common metal exposure sources layered on top of hormone-driven bone loss
  • How lower hormone status independently fuels inflammation and autoimmune risk
  • Genetics, trauma, and diet as factors that heighten hormone-related susceptibility
  • Prevention strategies to support the body through hormonal transition
  • Peptides, bioregulators, and other progressive treatments, including therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), as emerging tools for supporting detoxification strategies, hormone balance and recovery from multi-system illness, including those related to elevated lead body burden and lack of hormone
  • Why "pre-tox" matters before detoxing, especially during hormonal shifts

Ban Toxic Sludge From Farmland

Right now the EPA is moving to let sewage sludge laced with PFAS “forever chemicals” keep being spread on the farmland that grows our food, and the deadline to speak up is September 4.
The EPA’s own research found these chemicals can cause cancer and other diseases in people who live near fields where sludge is spread, or who drink the milk, eat the beef, and other foods produced on them, including kidney and liver cancers, decreased birth weight, increased cholesterol, and diminished immune function.
Now the agency is scrapping that assessment, just as it recently walked back its limits on PFAS in drinking water.
TAKE ACTION BY SEPTEMBER 4: Tell the EPA to Ban Toxic Sludge From Farmland!

Next week, watch for a review written by John Stauber, co-author of the Toxic Sludge is Good For You on the newly released eye-opening film, The Sludge War Documentary.

From Soil to Gut: Why Your Gut Health Depends on the World Around You

by Mónica Quinzo, Gut Microbiota for Health:
“At its heart, One Health is the recognition that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems is closely linked and interdependent. While we may often think of ourselves as individuals, science now shows we are ‘holobionts’, complex collectives of human cells and trillions of microbes intimately connected to and co-evolving. Bacteria, fungi, viruses, and archaea, are not just passengers. They are active participants in our health, influencing everything from digestion and immunity to mood and metabolism.
These microorganisms also connect us to the world around us as they are the common denominator of life on Earth. Subsets of microbial communities are constantly cycling through our shared habitats. They move from soil and water into plants and animals and ultimately into our bodies before returning to the environment. By functioning as the planet’s invisible engineers, these microbes bridge the health of the entire biosphere.
Our gut microbiota is far from a closed system. Instead, it continuously interacts with the microbial diversity in our surroundings.”

ENVIRONMENTAL & HUMAN HEALTH

Is It a Chemical? Is It Alive? Oversight in the Coming Era of Synthetic Cells Could Be Complicated.

by David Gillum & Peter A. Carr, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists:
“The advent of synthetic cells has promoted speculative concern about future risks—cells that can outcompete natural life, say—but, for now, the technology raises more immediate questions: How long can such cells persist in the environment? Will they affect ecosystems or the human microbiome?
Although the US government is engaged in the process of modernizing biosafety policies, current oversight practices remain ill-suited to regulating the production of synthetic cells. The technology will straddle scientific areas like chemistry and biology and regulatory domains such as environmental protection and human health.
Could a synthetic cell system persist longer than intended? Could it spread beyond a target site? Might it produce unexpected byproducts or affect surrounding ecological processes?”
These are the questions that may matter more than slotting a synthetic cell system into an established regulatory category.

FOOD & LEISURE

The Old-School Dining Tradition Making A Comeback Thanks To Younger Diners

Deb Kavis, Tasting Table:
“While economic stress has turned many modern day home cooks towards old-school frugal recipes, there are other retro dining trends staging a comeback. Those seeking social options beyond drinking and clubbing have rediscovered a vibrant vintage dinner tradition that celebrates food and leisure. The post-pandemic landscape has brought the supper club back to the forefront for younger generations.
Among other vintage entertaining trends that deserve a comeback, supper clubs have returned in a DIY format. The general sentiment is that this experience makes space for younger diners to re-engage with their communities and socialize in a more low pressure (and low cost) way. Rather than struggling to be heard over the cacophony of a bar or club, supper clubs offer a quieter and more wholesome setting for in-person gatherings.”
Modern iterations of the old-school concept have taken a more cost-effective approach, with younger diners opting to host their own supper clubs at home.

Growing a Better Way

The industrial, factory farm, GMO monoculture agricultural model was always intended to benefit a shrinking number of big corporations, mostly chemical and junk food companies.
Monsanto’s claims about “helping farmers” or “feeding the world” have been nothing more than carefully crafted public relations messages, unfounded and ungrounded in reality.
Tyson’s practice of locking farmers into contracts, then walking away when it suits the company, benefits only Tyson, not the chicken farmers who borrow millions to build the facilities Tyson demands, and are then left holding the debt when Tyson shuts a plant down. And certainly not the consumers who get cheap, drug and antibiotic contaminated chicken.
This degenerative food and farming model, built on “heedless self-interest,” is little by little, lawsuit by lawsuit, being exposed for what it is: a model that has failed consumers, failed the environment, failed economically for all but a few greedy corporations, failed to deliver anything but unhealthy food, polluted waterways, degraded soils.
Who will help build the model founded on traditional organic regenerative farming practices?
Farming practices that work with the Earth’s natural systems, instead of against them? A model that works economically for farmers and local communities, not the Monsanto and Tyson types?
Organic, regenerative farmers already working with the land instead of against it, and the conscious consumers who choose to support them instead of Big Ag.
That’s the model worth funding, and worth voting with your dollars for.
Can you help us move this model forward?

Traditional Food Program Reduces Heart Failure Hospital Visits in Navajo Nation

by Mass General Brigham Communications, Harvard Medical School:
“A culturally tailored meal program rooted in traditional Diné (Navajo) foods significantly reduced hospitalizations and emergency department visits among heart failure patients in rural Navajo Nation, according to a new randomized clinical trial led by researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, the University of Pennsylvania, and Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico.
‘Food heals in many ways: through good nutrition, culture, identity, and connection,’ said senior author Sonya Shin, HMS associate professor of medicine, part-time, at Brigham and Women’s. ‘This intervention demonstrates that culturally grounded approaches are not only respectful but also clinically effective.’”

How Effective Is the Flu Vaccine?

Dr. David Brownstein, M.D., writes:

Every year, the powers that be in our government and the mainstream media use every public relations tactic they can muster to frighten the American people into receiving the flu vaccine. For instance, we’ve been told ad nauseam that 36,000 people die yearly from the flu. I’ve been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. That would mean during my career, approximately 1,080,000 people have died from influenza infection.

Personally, I can’t recall a single patient dying from the flu during my 30 years of practice. Either I’m the best doctor in the world, or there’s something wrong with those numbers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports death statistics every year in a document called the National Vital Statistics Reports. Each year, a few hundred people die from influenza.

Special: Doctor Reveals Little-Known Immune Health Secret

So where does the number 36,000 come from? The CDC provides this disinformation by combining deaths from pneumonia with influenza to provide an inflated number. The latest data listed 41,917 deaths from influenza and pneumonia, which is the 13th most common cause of death in the U.S.

But searching deeper through the data reveals that 608 deaths were caused by the flu; 41,309 deaths were from pneumonia.

Does a disease that is causing 608 deaths out of a population of 330 million require a mandatory vaccine? That kind of self-assurance on the part of the medical establishment would lead one to believe that the flu vaccine must be safe and effective. But is it?

According to the CDC, “. . . flu vaccines are designed to protect against infection and illness caused by the influenza viruses. Flu vaccine effectiveness may vary based on how similar or different the vaccine is to circulating influenza viruses.”

The CDC reports the efficacy of the vaccine annually. From 2009 through 2023, the effectiveness of the vaccine ranged from a low of 19% to a high of 60%. Nearly four-fifths of those years, flu vaccine efficacy was less than 50%.

Looking at those numbers, I can’t believe that anyone would prescribe a flu shot, much less take one.

Hey Jimi,

It was 2016.

I was sleeping when my body suddenly jolted me awake.

My heart was banging against my chest.

Sweat was dripping down my face.

I was gasping for breath.

I looked at the time.

It was 4:15 am.

I went to the bathroom, turned on the light, and saw my reflection staring back at me from the mirror.

Intense emotions swept over me.

Frustration.

Disgust.

Regret.

Sadness.

I got divorced a few months earlier.

The pain of the breakup was bringing emotions I had been suppressing for decades to the surface.

I needed to do something.

I decided to go to a Wim Hof event in Poland.

As I practiced the breathing exercises, something profound happened.

I felt real peace and calm for the first time in years.

When I got back to Leicester, I continued practicing.

Then something weird happened.

I started to feel worse.

The more I practiced, the more anxious and stressed I became.

I wanted peace and calm back.

I went onto YouTube and tried every breathwork technique I could find.

Then one evening an unusual video appeared on my feed.

I pressed play, and followed along.

There was no heavy breathing.

No striving.

No forcing.

Everything was effortless.

Afterwards, I felt the calmest I had ever felt.

The frustration.

The anger.

The sadness.

Went away.

I almost wanted to cry.

I started practicing it every day.

And I felt more and more relaxed.

I felt like I did at the Wim Hof event in Poland…

Yet even better.

This wasn’t some momentary boost.

This was making me become the person I had always wanted to be.

Calm.

Confident.

Happy.

At peace.

After spending my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood running around like a headless chicken…

My emotions felt balanced.

I felt connected to myself again.

Many people describe this as a “coming home”.

It’s like you start feeling again.

This breathwork technique saved me after my divorce.

I went from having chronic tension, insomnia, and burnout to calm, clarity, and purpose.

It’s what made me quit my job as a senior manager at British Gas and become a breathwork coach.

I want to share this same breathwork technique with you.

So you can experience the same powerful transformation.

You can try it this Saturday during my masterclass: “How to Breathe Your Way to Calm”.

During the masterclass, you’ll discover how to turn down your body’s stress response, and become a calm person again, without even trying.

So you can go from stressed and anxious to chill and confident in the quickest time possible.

Join me LIVE this Saturday and experience the change you’ve been searching for. Perhaps for years, even decades.

What if, in exchange for three dietary changes, you could receive the following?

  • Improved energy levels
  • Increased stamina
  • Better mental clarity
  • Lessened joint and muscle pain
  • Weight loss
  • Improved sleep
  • Elimination of under-eye “dark circles”
  • Reduced desire for caffeine

Would you take that deal?

A conscious choice to reduce dietary sources of inflammation in your body is a conscious choice to boost your body’s innate ability to ward off disease.

All that you need to do is to materially reduce these leading dietary triggers of inflammation:

  • simple carbs (e.g., sugar, white flour)
  • dairy
  • gluten
That’s it, and it is far easier than you might fear. Give it a shot and keep track of how you feel in the coming weeks. This is doable, and the rewards are invaluable.

All the Best,
