Usually I'm not here on Friday nights, but wanted everyone to know.....

Thursday afternoon I was on the VU trying to find a pic of Duke that I liked and thought I had posted it , but couldn't find it. So, never posted anything. I finally found it :) later in the night, but by then didn't feel like getting back on.

It was a VERY difficult decision for us to make, but we think (pray) it was the right decision, the best for Duke and us. Thursday around 2:45pm Duke was put to Rest here at our home.

He was so miserable, we could see it in his eyes. Though, he did watch the kitties and mamma Cali play, he did enjoy watching them. But, he was just laying there day after day, his quality of life, well, there wasn't one anymore. He counted on us when he wanted/needed to do anything :(

What we think is....Yahushua put Cali in our lives and had babies because He knew Duke needed some kind of entertainment while laying there, and for us hoomuns (humans) need them for smiles and laughs....to get us through the stress of taking care of Duke and during this difficult time of loss.

He is in no more pain....:) May he be running, playing, barking, lol, his kind of barking, and chewing on all doggie treats he can get his mouth on and enjoying being whole again.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is sad, but you made the right decision.
Remembering all the good times will help bring you comfort.
Thanks for sharing the great pictures of Duke.

Other than waiting for 3 hours on an uncomfortable gurney for the doc to come in to do the procedure, all is well. I don't need to have another colonoscopy for 5 years now. I didn't get home Thursday until 7:30 and just wanted to sleep.

Yesterday was busy with work and didn't get in here so no need to send out a search party...
