Thanks for the tip to look for something like this. Nice app, but no iPhone version. There is something called coil something or another for iphone, but author wants 99 cents and it doesn't do as much as steam engine (http://www.steam-engine.org/coil - Thanks @muth) so I think iPhone owners should just surf when the info is needed.

, mainly to see if I could do it. It took entirely to long to call it productive. The coil master made the wrap easy. Did mess up a couple of times with coil master. I found for me I put much pressure on the coil master spinner / top initially and it sat in place and make a layered wrap. Lost two coils that way. Maybe 8" of Kanthal. You have to learn the coil master "touch" I think. Or it was just a plain newb screw up.moecat

There's a lot of idiots online, tough guys when sitting in the safety of their air conditioned caves
and shielded by their keyboards. So sometimes it's a struggle to not take the high road.
It's very tempting to get pissed off..But why bother?
I have a few friends there. Also, it's a personal challenge to not blow one of their
myriad rules, making sure my words can't be misinterpreted and get me banned or in the sin bin.
Such silly shit..it's beyond sophomoric. Or maybe beneath..see? It's a disease. The ECF virus..
I've dragged a few of my friends over here or at least turned them on to VU.
This feels a lot better, less pretentious.
But as I'm sure an astute woman like you has noted
there are lots of assholes here too...

I prefer this place of course but an ideal forum would fall somewhere inbetween here and ECF. No you don't want moderators breathing down your neck every five seconds like nazis, but you also don't want one or two complete assholes ruining the experience for everyone. If the level of moderation for VU is 1 and for ECF it's 10, I'd say perfect moderation would fall somewhere around 3 or 4.
