I entered a contest thread at ECF and actually won a TFV4 mini on 12/04. Have yet to see or hear anything from Koopor/Smok so, I sent them an email Sunday morning. Haven't gotten a response from that either. This is what I sent...
I've been sitting here this morning thinking and contemplating where to send this or if I should post this in the "Wow! Koopor & Smok Giveaway - 200 Koopor Plus and 200 TFV4 Mini's to be won" thread at ECF and decided to send it to you guys first. If I were to post it there, there are sympathetic ninnies that would be extremely "butt hurt" and would tell me to back off but, they are not the ones that 1) held the contest and, 2) might have even won something.
The way I figure it is this. If you're going to hold a contest and give away "X" number of mods and "X" number of tanks, HAVE THEM READY TO SHIP! Stick a "Congratulation" note in the package, print the postage, stick it on the box and SEND IT OUT!! Koopor/Smok have peoples addresses. What's the HOLD UP?? Put a dedicated employee on the task and "Git Er Done!". Gonna do the contest during a busy time of the year?? PLAN FOR IT!
I mean what's the point of winning something if you don't get the actual winnings. Heaven forbid you look for a company to follow through with something they said they would do. How dare anyone hold anyone accountable anymore?? What kind of society would we be if no one had to follow through or were held accountable for there actions?
ECF held the contest. Koopor and Smok are supplying the prizes. We all did our part and entered the contest as required, filled out the form ECF required with our addresses and waited. (I won a TFV4 on December 4th) On December 7th, low_tar_neil said in a "Private Message", "I imagine they are waiting for all the names before shipping, so they will get the rest this week, hopefully very soon after that, I know they were good last time.". The end of that week was December 11. Now, it's 3 weeks later and most, if not all, of us have not heard a word from anyone. There were several members in that "PM" and some had even requested a color preference of the TFV4 that they won. Still no response.
I understand MadVapes will be, or has, received the prizes to be sent out to the U.S. winners. On December 28, I called Koopor and left a message for "Mike", with one of my email addresses and requested a response be emailed to me with the status of the prizes going out. Still no response.
So, my question is this. Does Koopor/Smok intend on making good on the contest or should I post the "above thoughts" on every single forum I am a member of? I'm pretty sure ECF gained a lot of membership due to the contests they hold. I would hate to think that said contests are only a way to increase membership with suppliers/companies not following through and awarding prizes as promised.
I await your reply.
Sincerely,
Simply Red at ECF
It's not a wonder they're not the #1 forum anymore but VU is.
What are your thought and who should be held responsible? Yeah, ok. It's a "free" thing but, what good is anybody's word if they don't keep it?
