Wait so parts are ahipping from china on monday, or mods are being shipped to customers?
Or even better, does anyone really even know lol?
Seems like their holding the cards a little too close to their chest, seeing as they already have peoples money and should be flooding the interwebs with pics of their products and the ongoing process, not only to keep customers happy but to bait in new ones...

ok if you read here
https://www.reddit.com/r/cloudmaker/comments/3twlkw/are_we_looking_at_another_delay/cxbkac0

teh post from CMT says
Batch one and two are merged together from a production standpoint - and we have ordered enough chips to fulfill all orders to date plus extra stock. Evolv will be shipping even more boards to us in a few weeks.

so if evolve is shipping the boards to THEM not the chinese factory It seems like they are assembling some of it if not all in USA

Here are some images posted to imgur on Dec. 8th. Are they going to make it before xmas? That would be tough to do even if they were ready to ship right now. They could get held up in customs for a week or more

"All parts are done (save a few panels), and the only thing next to do is to anodize, assemble and get them out the door.

We'll keep it flowing with content as we get it in
."

From this post, it sounds like they are being assembled in China.

in another thread you read this mess

You think that's bad, I live about 1 hour from the CMT factory in China. Hopefully expecting it my hands before the Chinese New Year.

CloudmakerTechCMT Staff[S] 3 points 14 hours ago

Well why don't I drive one over to you then? Are you near Xiamen?

At the very least, we can have our factory ship it to you via SF Express, you should get it in two days tops. How does that sound?

KrewdWhiteout DNA 1 point 12 hours ago

It may be a little more complicated but I'm sure it can be arranged it's China. I'm attached to an order with a mate in Hong Kong (back in July I thought it'd be best to ship directly to HK incase it was held up at customs for some reason) So yeah it'll be China-US-HK-China till it's in hand.

I'll open another ticket with my Chinese address. If you guys can kuaidi one up to me via SF Express, it would seriously make my Christmas!

CloudmakerTechCMT Staff[S] 8 points 12 hours ago

Great, I will get one over to you. Chances are you will be the first person to have it in your hands, so make sure to make a post when you do!

so that suggests they are fully assembled boxed and everything in china

But how long will it take to assemble a unit...

Since I was able to walk into my office, boot up my computer, find this thread and post this comment in less time than it's taking for a cup of coffee to heat up in the microwave, I would think someone at CM should be able to take a few minutes to post a few lines letting all their paying customers know what is going on. Public relations and common courtesy really isn't all that hard.

At this point a package with parts would better than nothing

I have been watching this thing for months. I almost ordered from the CMT site a couple months back but decided I would avoid the delay dates and wait until they were in peoples hands. From there I have decided the wait will be even longer because I am interested in the new SXJ board and know yihi won't be selling them until after they give the ML a nice head start.

Real shame about the Smog angle. I have never ordered from them because I know group buys carry risks, but ripping off that many people is just pitiful.

That smog 'situation' sucks for alot of people! The more I look at that one, the more I see a total shell game. I still can't bail down how much the one guy from cmt had to do with smogs musical bank account game.

You rich wingsfan, was starting to look like they ran. After everything they announced shipping and then 48 hours of complete radio silence. Haha

I think the only way of knowing truly how much Ian had to do with the smog ponzi-scheme is, get the police involved. When threatened with a few years prison term, people tend to give up and spill the beans

That is encouraging, they should have done this with everything. From getting the fucking 510 connections to rolls of wire lmao.
A step in a good direction for CMT.

They showed one bin of packaging and one bin of partially finished mods. With a few thousand orders, they need to show a lot more and hopefully they will. There is still a large amount of distrust in their own sub reddit. He said a video was coming today or tomorrow. Lets see what that shows.

Is it just me that thinks some of those pictures make it look pretty big? I wonder if it's going to be like an IPV3 Li in size. The battery looks small inside it (should be able to fit a bigger one in there if one was inclined). Definitely looks like it's going to be quite a bit bigger than a VS.

Cheers,
Steve

Definitely looks 3li sized. The video of them dropping the green one made it look like the og sig 150.

Did they tout it as VS sized? I never saw that part.

I didn't mean to imply they said it was going to be small (VS sized). I'm just use to seeing DNA200 mods like the VT200, Lavabox, VS, They to me look quite a bit smaller. I guess I've gotten use to it. When I saw a few of those pictures, the first thing I though was it looks big in comparison. It's just me.

Cheers,
Steve

That has been another one of the reasons why I hedged too. Not being sure just how big it actually was I wanted to see some in the wild to save buyers remorse.

Saw a size comparison of the prototype. It's quite large. About the same size, or slightly larger than the IPV4 if I remember right. Will try and find the photo I saw.

I knew it was going to be sig150 size. For me size was not an issue for a change. Most of my gear comes from vaporshark so I already have small mods. I have 2 vsdna200s and a few of the vsdna40s. The reason I pulled the trigger the talk of the squonk attachment, changing the battery configurations and all of the board possibilities. (sx,DNA and user programmable arduino)
I figured if its a hobby I may as well have something I can really geek out on.
Now, that it looks like its gonna be reality, and not a scam, im hoping they can survive long enough for the geek attachments to be produced.

If they survive past this first batch, and release the arduino, I may get one to screw around with.

Roger that dude, the programming ideas that I've seen floated around are killer. I figured at the time the two things i didn't have was a series mechanical and a squonker. This would be an ideal platform for my nerdiness; and, could double as a squonker for not much more than a reo. Then I picked up the cricket, so really this would be the last mid this guy needs. Unless vaping at 500w becomes the thing to do; or, provape made something current again. Anything else is pure buying mods; because, that's just what we do.

Found the photo. IPV on the left, Whiteout in the middle, Sigelei on the right

View attachment 35597

That looks a tad rough.. I was hoping of a more seamless look. Leaves a lot to be desired fit and finish wise IMO.

Hopefully this is just because of it being a prototype.. the green one looked well finished in the video.

Lol! I greatly appreciate the thought man, so much. Though I think my wife may be doing this as a surprise for Christmas, she knows I was totally bummed when the info dropped on SD.

Assuming some of them leave china im sure a few are headed to reviewers.
As far as who..... I wouldn't mind seeing twisted get one, just to see how it does on a drop test.

I dont think Ive seen a video where he didnt drop something lol.
Haha, no. Figure that's part of the review. If it can survive twisted, you wont break it.
I really don't wanna see rip review it. That may make me take it off mute and his voice makes my brains hurt.
Maybe Matt or Grimm would be cool.

Yeah. If Im looking for a review I usually like to see if Bogan, Twisted, Ruby, or Grimm have something on it. Then Ill move on to RIP and the others.

Lol. Wonder if they go East out of China and hit LAX, or West and hit JFK/ Reagan and then domestic flights from there on.

I was starting to look through the assembled version, thinking that looks nice, then I saw the last two pics. That's one big room, lol. It sounds like things are moving somehow, so I hope you all actually do get these things. My only thought is how they couldn't fit a bigger LiPo in that thing. My Tugboat has a 1200 MAH pack, and it's closer to iPV Mini sized than iPV Li sized. The innards look gorgeous and clean, though. And, putting a two bay battery sled in and running 133 Watts seems easy enough if they deliver.

I'm pulling for you all. For principle of good people not getting fucked, and this thing does look nice if they can get their act together. That goes beyond initially shipping to consumers, but rather staying around and continuing business. Supporting that person who wants a sled for two 18650's, and maybe a second chip, a YIHI to swap in.

Thank you bro! And thank you for the help as well, to everyone!
Totally agree!

Hopefully we'll get an official shipping announcement.

Did that dude that was like an hour away from them in China get his? I can't get that link to work from my work computer.

I really hope this isn't another ShannMod situation. Ever since I read that thread many months ago I made the decision to never do a pre-order type thing. Its too bad really because it has the potential to be quite beneficial. :(

They've been pretty quiet all weekend. Short of that link with the production line pics, they haven't said much.
I have a feeling that; in true cloudmaker form, they said the shipment would leave today and then realized how much work it would take to make that happen.
-and I make that statement in an attempt to be optimistic.
