The current battles is to slow the spread of the virus so that there are not more cases requiring hospitalization and ICU than our medical facilities can handle. One of our doctors here said a few days ago that even if you get it and recover you still will remain susceptible to get it again as someone who has never had it. That a very few may develop some type of immunity but the majority wont. That how bad you get it can depend on a few things. If you are in contact with just 1 person that passes it you may get a mild case. But the more exposure you have, multiple carriers, the more severe it will be. You get loaded up. That also there is two versions, covid 19 L and covid 19 S. He said s is the mild one like a flu (please correct me if i get it the wrong way around due to memory) but L is the killer. Either way he said both are everywhere.
Indications are that we do develop antibodies/immunity to the virus. however these are just indications at this point.
We know too little to fully say about many aspects of the virus.
Like how they screened travelers for thew virus by taking their temperature.
Around 20% show little or no temperature.
Many show no symptoms but can spread the virus.
