So far so good across the lake from New Orleans. Our Walmart is having a senior day not an hour. DH and I are going to give that a try before we try ordering. I'm just praying it's not going to be like a Mardi Gras parade (people crowded up your butt)
I wish I still had chickens. Nice source of protein.

After that experience time to stay at home. Both Freezers are stocked have fresh produce for a few days and good on TP.

Hope everybody was able to get prepared, because what I just saw makes me think it is time to start keeping an eye open for the unexpected.

Checking in from NM. Staying home, checking in on family in Washington & Arkansas, so far they are ok. Hubby made an early run yesterday for fresh produce, did ok. We eat salads most days, add eggs and a bit of meat. I'm still working on my recipe upkeep. I scored a gallon of PG from Tractor Supply a few days ago, I'm running 75pg/25vg so now I feel better.
We are a tourist town, aliens stuff, so these restrictions are starting to hurt our businesses. Don't know how many are going to be able to survive. Crossing my fingers!
Stay safe everyone.

Ohio Confirmed cases 351

Welp... he did it... Ohio STAY AT HOME order has been enacted. Only ESSENTIAL business allowed to remain open. Effective midnight Monday through April 6th.

Chris found a couple gallons of vinegar. There's still a couple items I'd like to have on hand, other than fresh meat I think we're good to go.

Chris ran into a situation on the road yesterday where a corp truck stop restaurant closed at 2pm and he couldn't get his dinner. This is becoming a problem.. drive thrus not allowing truckers to walk up to the window. Please spread the word that accommodations need to be made for our truckers!

I saw a post the other day where a Restaurant set up a landline for truckers and had a staircase outside to serve them. If I can find it again I will post it.

Stay safe everyone.

If you’re in Roswell, I feel for you. The town is nearly 100% dependent on tourism.

I lived in Albuquerque for many of years, ‘85-92 and 97-00.

Even with how small Albuquerque is and the times I drove south to visit family at Holloman, Albuquerque is gigantic in comparison, even with ABQs 11 exits from Tramway to Coors Blvd. Roswell is a single exit town.

I truly hope everyone pulls thru.

I'm laying low at the house.

I have a doctors appointment on Tuesday and i'm not very happy about it.
I'm just hoping some sort of common sense has taken place to where I can just show up, say "refill", and be on my way.
They do all of the prescriptions electronically now in Florida.

It's pain management and all but if there was one time where the government should let up a little of the "no refill" rule on some controlled substances it's right now.
They can put 5 refills on a benzo but can't put one on a pain med.

That means every month every pain patient in the US has to go to the doctor, some have to do all types of shit like urine tests, all types of "minimally" invasive procedures like injections, etc..,

Then comes the HARD part.
Many go to the pharmacy every month just praying that they are deemed worthy by some 20 something pharmacy tech who found a little bit of power and decided to use it against the sickest and most vulnerable of the population.

When they started doing the electronic scripts I held off as long as I could.

The first day the Doctor told me about this new tech they had I immediately asked:
What happens when you send off an electronic prescription to Walgreen's or CVS and they say "NO" just like they have been doing with the written prescriptions on and off for a half decade?

He told me he didn't know but will soon find out.

I got REALLY lucky because when I moved here I went to a mental health services as well as physical heath.
My disability is physical but that does a number on the mental.

The Psychiatrist told me if I ever had any trouble getting my meds to go to the mom & pop pharmacy 2 doors down from him and tell them I am having problems getting my meds filled.

I went there and did just that and have had no problems for almost four years.

Walgreens and CVS will switch up the entire pharmacy staff just out of nowhere.
When I was a growing up in the 80's we had the same pharmacist for 20 years.
Now you are lucky if the same one is there four times in a row.

I walk in there, 45 years old. Jewelry on,wearing Ecko and Adidas, i'm instantly deemed not worthy.

I'm not the type of person to wear a fucking costume in order to get pills legitimately prescribed by a legit doctor.
I walk with a severe fucking limp so it's kind of obvious i'm not faking shit.

Anyway back to my original point.

I've tried all four of the injections offered with little to no success

The ONLY reason I go there is for a refill of the same metered dose and it's been that way for FIVE years.
In fact I am now on 2/3 the amount that I was on 2 years ago this time so i'm doing even better than most patients.

For those MANY people like me who are disabled with underlying health conditions in pain management and have been on the same dose for so long with no issues, wouldn't it makes sense to allow for the script plus an additional two refills just in this one particular circumstance?

What we need is for Restaurants to put together a Make Shift setup to do it all over the country. If I wasn't so far from the main roads I would dig out an old CB and help truckers find food.
Yeah... I seen this one last night. Problem is he is mostly in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, or NY. It just really erks me that it was a TRUCK STOP restaurant that did it. I can see private owned restaurants doing it. But this was one of the top truck stop chains.

Just watched KY gov Brashear's daily 5 PM broadcast.
tomorrow at 8 PM all non essential RETAIL establishments are closed to any walk in customers. Delivery, and curbside pick is still allowed.
So no vape shops unless they choose to do curbside.
LOL Liquor stores are of course essential services....

I just got home from taking my wife to a hospital appointment an hour's drive away through the bush. We left in pitch black dark and went real slow as there are large numbers of roo,s along the way. Hit the brakes for one but it thankfully bounded into the scrub. She is having a ketamine infusion over several hours as a last ditch effort to stop some severe cronic regional pain syndrome, the result of a botched broken arm setting. Was eerie going into the hospital with signs telling people not to enter unless they are a patient or close relative there to support them. Only the patient and one other person allowed. Hand sanitising stations everywhere. Usually the place is packed, was strange seeing it so empty or 70% less people than usual. I felt nervous just going to the toilet there wondering who been in before me, were they sick, did they touch the handle where I did? I've never sterilised my hands so much in a 1 hour period in my life. Social distancing is in force, not allowed to sit next to anyone, I wasn't allowed in the pre procedure room with her like usually they would allow and instead of being able to wait was told to go home, wait for a call then come back and get her 7 hours later. Home now but will be going back in 6 to 7 hours to pick her up. Bit worrying for society in general when the nurse prepping her says "what your seeing now is nothing to what we believe is coming".

I started carrying disposable gloves in my vehicle for such things. Have not had to go to a public restroom since this started and do not plan to unless unavoidable. Will have a pair of my gloves in pocket from here on out.

I'll be honest, I had to have a crap and I'm thinking "seriously, now, here of all places?", in the toilets was hand sanitiser. After I'd been I even put some on my butt cheeks I was so paranoid. I'd have showered in it if I could have.

Yeah, felt really strange being there. Never felt so concious about touching, or trying to not touch things, in my life. Plus looking at everyone thinking "are they sick, are they sick?" Scary times indeed. Especially after last night watching whats happening in Italy with them there and having to choose who to try and save with the ventilators as they just dont enough. That's an horrific situation for the Drs and nurses to be in. Terrifying.

If and when I do have to go out I wear a gloves and a mask that I spray both inside and outside with Silver Solution. I built my own Silver generator and make Silver Solution all the time. A teaspoon full a day supercharges your immune system.

Anyone with a compromised immune system should be using this during this mess.

Yes it is, it's like something you'd see in a movie but it's real life. Strange days indeed.

yet another trick I am doing.
When I go into say Wally World I get a cart then go over to their hand sanitizer and generously apply to hands then while wet use my hands to go from center out on cart handle wiping the hand sanitizer on the handle of the cart.

Checking in from Pa! Family in Md,Va,Tx,NY are all well. They are all envious of me as I love to be in my house.I have enough to do to keep me occupied for many years, and am fortunate to not have boredom or restlesnes in my vocabulary. They just wonder if I will get around to cleaning house. It's always on the list,at the bottom.
We have a lot of farms - they have all started selling direct. Fresh produce, meats, eggs, etc, etc. There is no price gouging-in fact they are selling at much lower cost than at the markets. I love fresh lettuces and am now hooked up direct with one of my favorite farm market vendors. This is a win/win-if there is such a thing in these times-as the restaurants they supplied are all closed-

Well, we picked up the Walmart order. No bread, I mean NONE. No sliced bread, no hamburger buns, no hot dog buns. Stopped another place, no bread. Not even any canned biscuits. Tortillas, eh. No thanks.

I'll make homemade biscuits.

Also no bags of potatoes and no instant potatoes. Yeah, I know, cringe on the instant potatoes, but I'd hoped those would at least be available.

We'll eat rice. There's enough of that around here to last three months.

1 box of Kleenex instead of 3.

I guess that's not too bad, considering. They could have been out of everything. I'm glad we got that extra pack of TP earlier in the week.

I imagine there will be a cascade of states closing non-essential businesses over the next few days.

I think tomorrow I will cook a Brunswick stew.

Sorry I liked your post because it isn't a happy one. I could not get any Yeast anywhere but got 2 packages of flour. Have any recipes for Bread with only Baking Powder? I got a can of that. Have recipes for no Yeast or Egg Bread but trying to make a sliced loaf or something like it.

Wal Mart is out of bread every sunday since the panic started milk too usually. Try about Wednesday.

I used to have one of those. Not sure it was the same. A 9 volt bettery, conection clip, wires with a little aligator grip on each and 2 rods/wires of pure silver. Is it a colloidal silver generator if I recall correctly?

From what I can gather the Walmarts and such in the smaller towns do not tend to sell out as bad as in the larger cities. Well except for TP and PT and such.

but what do you do with change when you pay cash?
Im hearing some places are refusing cash. Have not personally had that happen to me but I get them doing to minimise contact so fair enough. I just went and put most of the cash I had on me into my card.
To everyone here, I sincerely hope you, families and friends all stay safe and well throughout all this.
