My Walmart Order is finally Tracking~! Went from Label created in Indiana right to Pa is a flash~! Now since it is 2 separate boxes will it come on same truck or not? Will the same driver bring both separately because they are so overworked?

They take some getting used to. I wore my first pair for a few days and gave up. Then I thought about it for a few days, and tried again. Second time I was more stubborn.
After some number of days, your brain teaches your eyes how to work with the lenses, so you stop getting dizzy every time you turn your head. Now I don't know how I'd do without them.
I have an eye condition that keeps my vision from being correctable to 20/20. Even with progressives, these days, I have to take my glasses off to be able to do any kind of close-up work, like building RDAs.
Working with my bank account is a real treat. Glasses off to see the checkbook in my hand, glasses on to look at the laptop screen to read numbers from my bank. Glasses back off to write, glasses on to read. It is a pain in the ass.
Might be my alien brainz but I had no issues converting to progressives.
they ahd warned me but I had none of the symptoms and wondered if I had progressives. I asked them and they inspected my glasses and said I was just one of the fortunate few.

i wore them for like 2 months, all day, every day. the problem was, the middle prescription, the in focus portion was about the size of a pencil eraser and not exactly centered with both eyes. if i moved my head a tic, out of focus. luckily walmart refunded them.

I too adjusted to progressives just fine - my eyes noticed the difference, but didn't dislike it
When you complain about being stuck at home think of me having to go see the retina specialist on Friday. I can't put off the visit or I'll never get in for surgery. And during this visit they'll inject my eye again. Going blind sucks. Have fun at home lol.

Elective or non-life treating surgeries on being delayed at present even Chemo~!
They haven't set the date yet. We're supposed to set the date Friday but they will probably put it off. They have to get rid of the blood behind my eye first. I've been blind in one eye for 3 years and the surgery may improve my vision. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks for caring!

I tore my retina once and had to have emergency surgery immediately. Saw curtains for a while but has been fine since. Good Luck~!
I had a blood clot behind my retina. It killed off all the veins and arteries behind my retina. I've been blind in my right eye ever since. The surgery won't fix everything but it will help me see better out my blind eye.
I got hit in the eye by a 2HP Drill. Went to the Eye Doctor who told me I tore my retina and needed Emergency Laser Surgery. So I asked when he said right now and canceled the next 2-3 appointments and did it right then and there. Like I said I saw curtains for a few years but been fine since last Century. Best Eye Doctor I ever had~! Took many pieces of metal out of my eyes over the years. Never go to the ER for an eye unless is it deflated or not in your head~!

I’ve not been around much due to home educating my daughter. I’m in the U.K. and we went into lockdown last night. It’s been crazy here and worrying to. There are 85 cases close to me and over 1000 in London alone.
Last night I ended up calling the local hospital phone service for advice because I had extream chest pain and other symptoms. I was deemed emergency enough to have paramedics sent out to me to check my heart. It took seven hours for them to get here but I apreciated that they maid it to me at all and thanked them for every thing they are doing to fight this virus. They wanted to take me in to the hospital there and then but my 11year old autistic daughter was asleep and there is no one to look after her. Knowing if I woke her telling her we were going to the hospital she would have a masive meltdown then we wouldn’t go any where for days so I decided to wait a while and prepare her properly befor going. I need tests to see if they can find what caused all my symptoms.
So today I feel like I’m walking into a war zone and taking the thing that I treasure and love the most in the world to be caught up in it all and possibly risk every thing ( she has underlying health issues and there is no one to look after her but me) because it’s some thing I can’t protect her from. But if I don’t go then I risk my health in a serious way. Either way it’s a catch twenty two situation.
You can probably tell I’m not doing ok today but I will try and get through this the best I can.
Sorry for the long post. I just needed to get it off my chest.

Hi mate, very sorry to hear that. That has to be crazy scary stuff. I hope that everything is ok for you and your daughter. It's where I live now too and people are not coping mentally, you can see it everywhere. This really is a horrific world game changer. Stay well over there.

Doing alright here in WV. Me and hit a deer with her car yestreen. we're both alright physically. We both lament having killed the poor doe. Her dad said it's likely around $2,500 worth of damage to the car. From the sound of her conversation on the phone with the insurance rep, it seems they're covering it all.
We got some food and snacks, most everything we think we'll need for at least two weeks. Not sure if two weeks will be all it is but at least it that much. She is out for at least two weeks as Goodwill closed here in WV as a non-essential business. The shop she had the car towed to for repair/s also is closed but they said they would get her fixed up ASAP. The insurance rep got her three days with Enterprise who is also closed, for car rental.
Glad she really didn't want to go anywhere for her vacation anyway. At the same time she may likely drive me stark sane being home with me and the dog. We end up watching our "wasslin" or some background noise show, or a movie, and passing out on the bed. I blame him because he nestles up against me under the covers. He blames me because I hog the covers.
Well think I'll, ... y'all run 'er slow.

Hi. Thank you. It is very scary indeed and which is why we put ourselves into self isolation over a week ago so as to stay safe. People here are ignoring the lockdown and carrying on as normal with packed tubes and busy parks even though they will be fined unless they can prove they need to be out for certain jobs.
I’m ok thank you. I was in a real state over going to the hospital a friend suggested I talk to the GP who said it was most likely precautionary but in her opinion didn’t warent going to the hospital especilly with my daughter but to go back to my GP if it happened again.
I hope you are prepared for the up and comming months. Stay safe.

Just my own personal opinion, and everyone's different, but as a coping mechanism we could all stand to do a bit of meditation.
People underestimate the effects of stress, and also underestimate the cumulative effects of smaller stressors that build up consistently over time. The situations we're dealing with these days cause ever-mounting uncertainty, and even though the pace of life for many of us has slowed down some, that doesn't mean that it's any less stressful.
I wouldn't presume to know what caused the issues you had, but would encourage you to perhaps learn some relaxation techniques or meditation. It sounds like you have a lot going on in your life, and relaxing and regrouping won't hurt.
It also sometimes helps me to write out or journal situations that are causing me confusion or anxiety. It also helps coming here and telling folks about it.
I hope it was nothing serious and you get a favorable resolution soon.

The last bit of fauna I smacked in the road hurt my car to the tune of $9,400. I was able to drive it home (at least 40 miles), but that was nothing but a damn miracle, or me being stupid, one or the other.
It was the fifth large, solid bit of fauna I've smacked in the twenty years we've lived here. Other occurrences have ranged anywhere from $2,500 to $4.800. The last one, I was going a good 60mph when we made contact. Fucker was airborne and just landed in the road right in front of me. There was no time to react and nowhere to go. Thank goodness for cars that have all the new-fanged drivetrain stabilization hardware; otherwise, I'd have been in a ditch.
I hope you and wife are still ok today and not sore and achy from being slung around by said bit of fauna. Before you head out again, check in with the universe. Maybe you missed a turn.
No we didn't get the meat. I did want to at least get her off the road. But given the state my wife was in, we come on home. I smoke a cigarette with her dad as means of a prayer. Yes, I know bad me for having a cigarette but for me that's "prayer". It was only 1 cigarette in about a year.
I'm starting to not be "okay" today. Here's why.
In my humble opinion a mental institution would too good for our current POTUS. I'm almost coming around to the idea that a bullet might be a good idea. Ahem, no that's not a threat, merely a publicly expressed opinion. I may even be thinking a bullet for myself. I did not say who it was for, just a bullet.

We might have been doing about 52 mhp. At most she may have been doing 60 mhp but on that stretch she was at 55 mph. She did good. did as I've told her, didn't hit her brakes. Cars can lock up when you do that suddenly and then colliding, well, go out of control. Speed limit for the road is 55 so even if she was at 60 any time she was still at a safe speed as far as any 'trooper' would have said. We were in no hurry to get home, not being reckless.
The deer was there "out of nowhere". We may have been chit chatting but both of us are aware deer are suicidal in WV. We both watch. Her being right there like that, we saw her only just as we hit her. Wife was in some minor shock. But we got a mile down the road. I looked at the damage and she did too, both saw it was leaking radiator fluid.
She got us to church parking lot before it red lined. She didn't to do the go a little, pull off and cool, go again. I told her probably netter to not as well. She called her insurance and got a shop arranged, towing, the insurance also got her three days rental from Enterprise. The damn irony of it? All non-essential business, the repair shop, Enterprise car rental, will shut down or have already shut down and deadline for our state is 8 PM this evening.
Coming home her dad mentioned her taking a trip with him, he'd drive. I told him that was no consolation. A few years back he was driving her blazer. He pulled out at a light. Some idiot running a red light hit us as we started turning to head home. He sighed and I told him he walked into that one. All of us laughed then. So I knew my wife was okay, the shock subsided. He knew what I was doing too. He called me aside later and just grinned, "you are too damn good for us, boy." I just shrugged and grinned back.
She's got a two week "sick pay" paid vacation though. In a way she's tickled pink for that.
In another way we're both responsibly cautious of why we're facing this somewhat "forced" vacation.

Well, I know I probably ought not use cigarettes as prayer. At the same time I've greatly reduced the harm they do me. I'm also human like anyone else. I can stumble at times. I could beat myself up over it or just try doing better. My mom kind of fussed at me that while I chatted to her over the web I took a mouthful drink of rum. Told her I took a snort of rum just to cut the edge off. She laughed and asked, "just a snort", recalling how I used to down 151 proof rum like there was no tomorrow. I might have maybe three drinks a year now, for at least the last ten to fifteen years. And it's no longer 151 proof, just 80 proof.
Excuse me, need to go fix a dryer for her dad.

Watching the news in my fuchsia bathrobe. It’s depressing. Gonna turn it off soon and get moving.
Apparently, the state of Virginia has deemed me able to get unemployment. It’s a relief, even though it’s not a lot of money, but enough to say it’s better than nothing. In all my years working, I’ve never filed....never had to. There’s always another serving job right around the corner. Now.......there’s nothing. Oh, and my application to Whole Foods got rejected......lol.
Starting to come out of my shock and numbness. Definitely going to work on the Dinner Lady “clone” today and resume my work on the Cornbread Pudding. Gotta keep the mind busy!

@MyMagicMist in my humble opinion, do not feel bad about having one killer stick as long as it is only one. Personally nothing could make me have one after all this time because I still remember how I couldn't get the stink off me when I had my last one.

Well said Bunny. I agree with you. I'd be up the creek without a paddle if it wasn't for this group of folks around here.
My bank account might be in a little better shape, but we won't talk about that.

I took two drags off my last one and handed the rest to my husband. That was almost exactly two years ago, I believe. It was so nasty I couldn't stand it.
My son had been involved in a head-on collision that day. Must be something about auto accidents.

No word from the wife’s department if they will be reassigned to work with patients, she’s adamant it won’t happen, but worst case scenario me thinks it will be an inevitable.
Mayor Faulconer shut all beaches, parks, trails down, mostly cause we have stupid people that were gathering...I think he should of deemed this so from the beginning, and didn’t for I think he believed people were intelligent enough to not gather...
$1000 fine, misdemeanor with up to 6 month jail time.
For those that are on the fence of applying for state benefits due to layoffs and pridefully haven’t; don’t hesitate.
These systems are in place for instances as such and these times are unprecedented.
I was raised that if I am physically able to work, there is a job out there; but times don’t allow for this belief as easily as it was just a few weeks ago.
I hope and without sounding cliche, pray that you all(even those that I have on ignore) stay safe and healthy.

Wife and I braved the Walmart senior hour today. 60 years old+ from 6AM to 7AM on Tuesdays. There are lots of stores that are having senior hours so we don't have to deal with the younguns and usually early in the AM so we have the freshly stocked shelves. $220 later back home with stuff to last a while.
Checking in wife and I still doing fine.
A niece by wifes first marriage wanted to come stay with us due to many/most of her family/social circle having either tested positive for virus or being exposed to it while still going about life as usual... Request was declined. EX Neice is not someone we would let stay here even if no virus btw.
A bit of good news:
New York scientists develop first US blood test that can detect who has already had coronavirus and is immune
of course do not expect a 2 week rollout or somesuch of this test as some politicians may promise.
Still waiting on the touted drive thru testing at Wally world, CVS and Target.
Probably a month just to get the new antibody test rolled out to some critical HC workers. But very positive thing for later.

- Scientists at Mt Sinai University in New York have created the first test in the US for detecting coronavirus antibodies in the blood
- The tests reveal who has already had the infection and developed immunity to it
- It's not clear how long this immunity will last, but the antibodies can be detected about seven days after a person is infected
- Once someone has antibodies against COVID-19, they likely return to relatively normal activities with relatively low risk of infection or spreading the virus
- Mt Sinai will begin rolling out the blood test this week, but it's not clear how widespread it will be
- They will prioritize testing health care workers and others on the front lines
of course do not expect a 2 week rollout or somesuch of this test as some politicians may promise.
